Alex Sink digs McCain
From today's John McCain story: "McCain was in Florida last week for a fundraiser in Tallahassee, raising between $50,000 and $75,000 and drawing about 40 people. Here's where his celebrity cuts both ways: He can fill a room but not always clear big money.
"Florida Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink stopped by and spoke briefly with McCain. She said she has always been an admirer. She's a Democrat.
"State Rep. Rich Glorioso, R-Plant City, stopped by, too. "I wanted to hear what he had to say. I was very impressed." But he's backing Giuliani."

McCain is clearly the best qualified for the job.

“… dogs and cats living together, we’re talking mass hysteria here…”
Like I’ve always said… it’s not about Left & Right… that stuff is for the Monday morning, water cooler politicos.
… and it’s never been about Red & Blue… it’s always been about Green ($), and not one of them gives a rat’s-a## what you think… unless of course, you have a check in your hand. That will at least get you some hollow pandering.

Wow. Did she take $3500 from him? Perhaps Sink, Pelosi and Hoyer should have a congratulatory lunch with Lieberman and McCain.

Was it primary money he raised, or money for his general election campaign? Big difference these days.

Why would he waste time dedicating a fund raiser to general election funds?

I think all of the GOP choices are iffy. They remind me of the DEM's in 2004. The Democrats have a strong field and they're well funded. As Barack Obama said recently: "the proof that Americans are fed up with politics as usual, is all of the donations that are going to the Democratic Candidates." I agree with him. Historically the Republicans always out do the Dem's in fundraising. That show's me that there's been a major paradigm shift toward the Democratic Party. What I'm hearing "out there" on the street with John & Jane Doe, Americans, is: "I'll vote for any Democrat, just to end the control the Republicans have in the Senate and the Executive Branch."
