Greer: Don't sweat the RNC delegate cuts
Like manna from Heaven, the Democratic presidential candidates' boycott of the Florida primary has GOP leaders giddy. "I cannot imagine any candidate for president ever signing (such a pledge), but they have,'' a smiling Greer told state party leaders at their board meeting Sunday. The party leader said Republicans are likely to hear about the RNC declaring Florida's GOP in violation of the rules, but not to worry much about it.
First of all, the state party is making a legal argument that because Florida's delegates aren't allocated for Jan. 29, the state isn't violating the rules. Secondly, the RPOF is making a compelling political argument: "Our party, because of what the Democrats have done, has an opportunity that it has never had before to step forward and say every vote will count (and) no state will have its delegates reduced. And it will benefit our party for 50 years to come...Rules are import to any organization, but no one should be a prisoner of the rules."
Greer said he asks every presidential candidate he speaks to to promise to seat all of Florida's 114 delegates to the convention, and "I can assure you those conversations have gone along very positively....When you read that the national party says Florida is penalized by 50 percent of its vote, tell your neighbors, say "Fellow Republicans, don't panic.'..At the end of the day, when the gavel comes down at that convention, I think we're going to have all of our delegates but if not, we're in a great place either way."

greer for rnc chair=another crist dream

no one cares about the democrats not having delegates in Florida to the national convention. Get over it!!
I think the biggest issue will be the War in Iraq, Healthcare, and to a lesser extent Illegal Immigration (for conservatives mostly)

Someone should tell Greer
that Mel resigned as Chair and it IS goig to make a big diffrence to the RNC

2:06 Reality Check: After that nonsense your party pulled with the candidates nit being able to campaign here, the Democrats will forever be the party of disenfranchisement.
Greer is capitalizing on a huge issue. KUDOS.

7:22, I don't think average democrats care about delegates. I think they care about the war in iraq and healthcare more. Plus I don't think the Democrats will carry Florida anyway, rather I think they will win other states they need to win (even if Hillary is the nominee)

OMG that pin - Republican women Like Men
Its absolutley freaking fantastic - but they have got to make up some that say ....
Republican men Like men because of my gosh - how many can be caught offering $20 to perform, or having wide stances and then denying, resigning and then "taking it all back" or preying on their same sex interns, etc.
Another button could read - Republican men like diapers in honor of Vitter, may be with a whip slashing across

Greer is so shaddy. His downfall is coming. The taskforce is a joke and hopefully the REC folks will wake up and realize his motives.

Who is the target of the RINO pin?

As a Republican woman I hate those buttons. They are cheap and show no class at all. I am embarrassed. I also resent, highly these loose terms like RHINO. It seems to pander to the political right. Certain candidates toss around these terms without any merit to them at all. It seems if you do not do as the religious right says, then you are a RHINO, despite being a traditional Republican. Despite being the kind of Republican who believes in the separation of church and state, the kind of Republican who wants to keep government out of people's personal lives. This is not the inclusion that Reagan practiced, it is exclusion of differring ideas and it also is a severe twist of what the traditional Republican platform was. It is simply pandering to the evangelical right. It stinks and will force many traditional Republicans away from this party.

7:58 I agree with you. The pins are low class. The one about Hillary, whether you like her or not, (I do not support her)is terrible. Are Republican women happy with this? I am not. All women, whether D or R come in all sizes and this is so disrespectful and just a personal attack. Shamefull.

Republicans may be able to raise money, but they are on their way down. They lie, are corrupt, are hypocrites and are leaving their Republican base out in the cold inorder to satisfy the extreme religious right. I am Republican, and I beieve in God. I do not however think that one religion should rule any party. That is very similar to the Middle East thinking. I am getting disgusted with my party. They forgot about less government.

Agreed, less government is what matters most. Too big government is really the root of all problems.

With 20 percent of the female vote in Florida for Hillary coming from Republican Women. This female bashing does not help the Republicans in other races
