Howard Dean: Can't We All Just Get Along?

DNC Chair Howard Dean was in Tallahassee Tuesday evening for a $100 a plate fundraiser. He said the current spat between national and state party will be a distant memory come November, calling it a "fight between politicians."

“Do I wish this fight weren’t happening? Yes,” Dean said. “At the end of the day, I think Iraq, health care, education and ethics matter far more than a fight between politicians.”

Republican college students picketed outside with hand-made posters that said "No Votes For Money."

Missing was state Democratic Party chairwoman Karen Thurman who had been named as a host of the fundraiser. Dean said that Thurman was scheduled to come, but something came up at the last minute. He added that he and Thurman talk all the time. A state party spokesman said Thurman had a conflict.

Howard, Karen couldn't make it. She had a very important meeting with Al Cardenas. Get your priorities straight, bub.

I wonder how many attended? Once again, the FL Dems aren't good enough for the candidates to speak to, but they are certainly good enough for the party to ask to open their checkbooks. And Dean is doing these fundraisers all across the state.

For God's sake... does this idiot do anything but repeat the "I hate Dubya, and Iraq sucks” diatribe? Every time he opens his mouth, I’m embarrassed to be an American, let alone a Democrat.

Hey Howard… hit the freaking road and take that closet lesbian, Karen. with you.

We need a third party and not the kind the right wing wants. They will never have the majority of people with them because they are extremeists. Let them go please. The D's are without clue and the R's are corrupt hypocrites.

Did the three stooges (Geller, Gelber and Nelson) tell all the deep pockets not to contribute since all the national dems want is Florida money?

These democrats that boycott our state will never get my vote come next November. They don't need to come back period. We don't want you in FL.

Vote independent

"Can't we all just get along?" followed by "It's not easy being green."

Karen was at the "People's Mansion" begging Charlie to be Hillary's running mate.

Great! The first female Predident and female VP!

No we can't "just get along". Now get lost and take the Karen-puppet with you.

Vote Libertarian.

I voted for a “Libertarian” once… they gave me a steak anyway… Screw the grass and fish; I dig the meat and potatoes.
