Obama's "got a fish hand shake"

Barack Gravel_2008_dccd107 Former Alaska Sen. Mike Gravel, a leading candidate for Buzz's Profile in Courage Award for being the only Democratic presidential hopeful not boycotting Florida's Jan. 29 primary, shared some insight with us while campaigning in Tampa Bay Wednesday. At a "Political Connections" taping that will air Sunday on Bay News 9, he informed us that Barack Obama is the least friendly candidate at the debates.

"He's just not a warm person. And he's got a fish handshake,'' said Gravel, depicting a flaccid grip. He offered up John Edwards and Joe Biden as the most friendly.

The 77-year-old longshot hopes ignoring the Fl boycott demanded by party leaders in IA, NH, NV, and SC will work to his advantage: "If I'm exercising some courage here I hope there's a return for that...If I get up in the polls in Florida, mainstream media has to start paying attention to what I'm talking about."

It's past time to exclude this nasty bomb thrower from the Dem debates.

Yet another example of steller reporting by the SPT. Losing more and more respect by the hour.

I have had an opportunity to shake Senator Obama's hand and he was very welcoming and thankful for the support.

I'd definitely say consider the source!!!!

Adam are you trying to drum up ratings for your poly show? It is a risk for cancellation?

Did you see how quickly they pulled down the Baker posting… I guess Rick called Gailey and threatened to out him.

So… exactly how does a “fish” shake “hands” anyway… or is that one of those bathroom tap dance things?

guess we'd rather have a warmgregarious person who is also a lyingdrunk, eh?

Obama's handshake isn't weak, only inexperienced.

geez - first was the dem bloggers who were trying to tie every issue to the war and now 3:59 keeps the mental gymnastics with tying everything to larry craig - someone is certainly excited about bathroom talk

In the words of McEnroe: "You cannot be serious!" posting this nonsense.

Tampa is great, but I'm sure there is political news of substance going on somewhere else in the country today.

Please try to cover it.

Adam - you are coming across as pretty darn desperate - and if you'd been at the right place at the right time, maybe you'd have had the opportunity to shake Barack Obama's hand too. Then you'd know, this old man, while he's a patriot, he's also almost as desperate as you.
