David Rivera's close call

More on the bizarre spin room episode where a Mike Huckabee aide took a tumble: Check out the video link on the Southern Political Report (scroll down a little). It's like the Zapruder film, but in this case you can see Rep. David Rivera right in the middle of the action. Hmmm.

I'm no fan of Rivera but the implication above is a tad overboard.

"amazing turn of events" lol

Back, and to the left. Back, and to the left...I'M HIT!

"amazing turn of events" lol

"amazing turn of events" lol

Yeah that guy doing the broadcast was a tool. Not exactly Dan Rather breaking in with the news of the Kennedy shooting...

Some serious moderating going on today

He is down...I repeat the aide is down...are we getting this?

I thought that Mr. Bean looking clown was a Rominator?

So, basically what we have here is… an overweight, closet-gay, fat, pasty, white, old, elitist Republican who trips a (from his perspective) lower-level human… in order to steal a photo op.

… you Republicans sure have a thing with that whole wingtip toe-tapping thing… what gives?

He was a reporter you queer!!

You should not talk about you father that way.

You have to admit Rivera makes for an interesting "Forrest Gump."

... pervetisaspervertdoes...

Uh....3:53....Just so you know....It was Walter Cronkite who broke in with the story regarding President Kennedy's demise. Dan Rather "made his bones" in Dallas by being the guy on the scene, covering the story, and where he jumped from local to national news.

uh...4:41 who cares he/she was making a point.

Besides Rather is a tool.

I have to laugh because I am that "tool" talking into the mike! In retrospect it is sort of funny because I've covered the death of a U.S. Senator (Paul Coverdell) live at the anchor desk and probably was less dramatic! Well, at least we got the story--even if the story wasn't quite as dramatic as it sounded. (I will tell you guys, the man who knocked the young man down was apparently a journalist as later news reports have indicated, but he was shoving and moving so fast that several of us didn't know what he was trying to do). Enjoyed reading your blogs, love visiting St. Pete and our friends at the the Times, and got as good a chuckle out of seeing it as some of you did. Gotta have a sense of humor in this business.

go away Matt.

You are talking about Mr. Bean.

Why was Erin sitting beside the gay General?

Rivera was there because thats where all the pretty blonds were congregating. It had nothing to do with the Gov or the altercation. Such a stud.

I just want to know of the guy talking in the interview went to the same tanning salon as crist.

Lottabelle...I don't know what David Rivera gave you to drink (or put in your drink), but next time, take your drink with you to the bathroom. David Rivera a stud? Yuck. Also nothing close to a gentleman-----look how hands-off he was just standing there. Any real leader in Florida would have helped up the poor guy.
