Fasano gets ethics complaint
A New Port Richey man said he has filed a complaint against state Sen. Mike Fasano with the Florida Ethics Commission, alleging Fasano misused his position in a flap over state's driver safety handbooks. Ronald Rice, a Pasco County Democratic Party activist, said he wants an investigation into how Fasano, R-New Port Richey, changed the way Florida hires a company to print drivers manuals. More here.

It should have been put out for bid!!!
He must have had a company in his men-that-live-with-their-mommas club do the book at a discounted rate.

Just look back a few Legislative sessions to see what else Fasano has done. He tires to give his banker friends the right to keep bank customers unclaimed money, he tried to slip through a very sneaky amendment helping his friend Pruitt and is very involved in giving a whole bunch (millions)of your tax dollars away to a private company. He did this out of the open and agaisnt government in the sunshine. I am certain you will soon be finding out much more about that issue. He is a very sneaky and untrustworthy individual. He passes feel good stuff that anyone would do to appease the people and fool them into thinking he is such a great guy for the people. Start checking into what this guy is really doing.

10:51 Better be carefull. Its not just the D's. Many people know Fasano very well. All his terrible behaviors and his unfriendly actions towards others may be catching up to him.

Fasano can't be beat by the Democrats at the polls so they filing a baseless ethics complaint. Classy very classy.
Posted by: | November 19, 2007 at 11:13 AM
11:13 - I suppose your definition of classy is giving a contract to your friend, not bidding it out, and making the taxpayers foot the bill.
In that case, yes, Fasano is a real class act.

I wish Fasano and Spear Britney would stop calling themselves Baptists. This behavior surely doesnt demonstrate anything endorsed by the Church. His unethical ways continue. The Senate should be embarassed.

Is Fasano running for state senate again?
I thought there was a Pasco county constitutional office vacancy coming up that Fasano wanted to park himself in.

10:47 - i don't think it's a discount if it's really back payment for services rendered TO the vendor. Maybe they are playmates.
Posted by: | November 19, 2007 at 11:24 AM
11:13 When the things that Fasano does really comes out to the public, anyone will be able to beat him. He will have lots of money and it is true that money does buy elections most of the times because the mailouts and commercials tend to re invent that candidate. But don't count on it always. I think that if the media were to do a careful analysis of what this man really does, not just in his personal life, I mean his actions in the Legislature, they would find out how fake the mailouts are.

angry baptist-
fasano is not baptist, he is catholic
Posted by: | November 19, 2007 at 11:54 AM
Fasano has also tried to undermine business growth in the Tampa Bay Area by claiming on one hand to be an advocate for the entire region, but on the other placing roadblocks up to other counties for the sake of stealing that business back to Pasco...

Posted by: | November 19, 2007 at 09:16 PM
Why did Fasano get so fired up in the first place. Didn't DHSMV put the contract out for bids again after Fred Dickinson left?
