Miami lawyer to head Elections Commission

29 Gov. Charlie Crist moments ago appointed Jorge L. Cruz-Bustillo of Miami as chairman of the Florida Elections Commission. The 43-year-old attorney with Diaz, Reus, Rolff and Targ LLP, already serves on the commission. He will replace as chairman Frances “Chance” Irvine and his term will last until 2011.

The FEC meets Wednesday.

For the first time in years, the Commission will be run by its chairman and members instead of being led around the nose by its staff! Good choice for needed change.

The FEC staff is indeed a problem. At times, they are just plain WRONG about the law.

If you have an hour or so, read some investigative reports and internal memos and see what I mean.

Like I have the time to read volumes to get to what you are referring to.

If you've got facts, bring them forth.
