Wexler: Impeachment time
“Vice President Dick Cheney and the Bush Administration have demonstrated a consistent pattern of abusing the law and misleading Congress and the American people. We see the consequences of these actions abroad in Iraq and at home through the violations of our civil liberties,” Wexler said. “The American people are served well with a legitimate and thorough impeachment inquiry. I urge the Judiciary Committee to schedule impeachment hearings immediately and not let this issue languish as it has over the last six months.”

Thank god someone is finally trying to hold this administration accountable!

lol - figured the first post would be from some loonie dem...you all just can; keep your mouths shut can you? you wonder why you continue to lose the big ones..

"...we see the consequences of these actions abroad in Iraq..." You mean..the constant fight against terrorist OVER THERE...instead of in Boca Raton, and Iowa City, and Cleveland...and all over this great country? The American people "are served well" by an impeachment...are you kidding?! We are not fools..it's an election year. How about fixing the immigration issue, or having the courage to fix social security...

Sounds like a good idea. The Dems should go for it. And while they are debating impeachment, they should also raise the top marginal tax rate to 75 percent and propose taxing capital gains as ordinary income, immediately terminate all funding for the Iraq war, and introduce an updated version of the Fairness Doctrine. Only this time with real teeth, so that talk radio is effectively forced to shut up.

I hope I am sensing sarcasm, Zhombre

Sensing sarcasm? It ought to leave a bruise.
Posted by: Zhombre | November 07, 2007 at 06:02 PM
Why doesn't Wexler talk about something important such as why I am paying over $3.00 for a gallon of gas?
I thought the Democrats were going to make that a priority. We need a third party.
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 06:05 PM
I wonder if Governor Crist will be praising Congressman Wexler at the next RPOF meeting.
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 06:10 PM
Vote the right way and impeachment will happen on 11-4-08.
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 06:13 PM
Well Wexler, you just upped the ante on your re-election.
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 06:29 PM
This guy has to be one of the dumbest legislators in Congress. What has he ever done for anybody?
But then, he represents Del Boca Vista and all the looney toons who have moved down from NY/NJ. So the bar he has to hurdle is very low.

Idiot
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 06:55 PM
Every Congressman both Dem and Repub should be tossed out of office...they are a DO-NOTHING Congress and every last one of them should be ashamed! Wexler is one of the biggest Idiots of them all!
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 07:08 PM
I'm sure Charlie Crist would support impeaching the President as well.
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 07:18 PM
Keep Pelosi, Rahm, Feinstein, Steny, and Chuckie OUT OF THE WAY!!!

"Hey wanna go to Big Daddy's and then my house, some folks call it "The Mansion" but I like to call it "The People's House." "

I have to laugh at deomcrats who don't see how they, with no moral authority, claim to demand the truth about anything especailly after defending Bill and Hillary's lies consistently for years since 1992, now suddenly democrats want the President to be honest- but only from a Republican President (Since you can't expect it from a democratic president. Bush is taking the same position as democrat members of Congress, including John Kerry (when he voted for the war ...) and Bill Clinton. Bush didn't lie - the UN inspectors gave them all the time Saddam needed to hide his WMDs.

YES! Lets get that Congressional approval rating into single digits!!!! Full speed ahead Wexler. And Ted Kennedy should hold hearings on waterboarding and be the voice of opposition of government sanctioned drownings --OOPS, better make that "simulated" drownings we all know where he stands on sanctioning actual drowning.
Posted by: | November 07, 2007 at 09:15 PM
I'm not an idiot!
PLEASE vote for HILLARY!!
Posted by: WEXLER | November 07, 2007 at 09:59 PM
wexler IS an idiot, 9:59!
his shirt matches the stripes in his wig!

Cheney should be impeached for lying ,Plame and for a conflict of interest with no bid contracts..It will take too much time and emotional pain ..he has a bad heart (really doesnt have one)and will be gone soon when the Dem landslide happens in 08.Mr Puffey

Hey charlie----I'm glad Wexler is your new best buddy. Nothing like being best buds with someone who wants to impeach the VP while your positioning yourself for VP. Good luck with that---I hear all the real D.C. power players don't even have your name on their radar for V.P. To much of a lightweight on real issues

Impeach? Arrest his a** and while your at it grab up Bush, Rice and Rummy. Try them all for crimes against humanity and high treason. Take away their wealth and shame their family names. Put them in the same catagory as Hitler, Stalin, Pol Pot, etc.

Get the Bushes out of America period. I heard they bought 125,000 acres in Paraguay. SO they can take Papa, Mama, Jeb and Jr. and all the little weed bumping siblings and just leave. Then our gas prices will drop back to $1.29 where they belongs. Not to mention we won't have to worry about our sons and daughters dying in some god-forsaken desert.
I don't care for liberal do-boy Wexler but I support impeaching all the Neo-cons and removing them from our government once and for all. Take Condoleeza Rice and that creepy CIA director too.

Good morning Tim how are you and the rest of the Communists doing today?

Isn't this the same guy that CC praised during the prayer breakfast at P4?

Senator: Do you support grants for nose reduction surgeries? If so, please apply, and while in surgery, have your brain enlarged and filled with common sense.
Posted by: WooWooWoo | November 08, 2007 at 08:34 AM
Seriously? This, from the same people who supported Clinton's impeachment over a bj? You actually have the gull to question the validity of this impeachment?
Thousands of American and Iraqi lives have been lost and we've spent billions of dollars in this war and if the VP led us into it under false pretenses...Well I'd say that merrits some looking into!
Who knows what comes of it, but to say it's silly and not needed well...you tried to impeach a guy for getting blown so I don't think you have much ground to stand on here.
Posted by: | November 08, 2007 at 09:17 AM
I have the gall to question the validity of impeachment. Unfortunately, I lost my gull at the beach when he fell in love with another gull.
Posted by: Ron | November 08, 2007 at 10:06 AM
9:17 - You see, thats the trouble with you people, you even lie to yourselves. You only hear what your bent little brains want to hear. Clinton's impeachment was for obstruction of justice and lying under oath. He got disbarred over it, but you can't handle the truth. So its a crock when you mental midgets try to distort the intelligence build-up leading up to war as this mindless rant of "Bush lie, Bush lie, Bush lie." Bunch of cry babies. If its a "Bush lie" (which it isn't) then its a Bill and Hillary Clinton lie, a John Kerry lie, a John Edwards lie, a Joe Biden lie, a Wexler lie and a (insert democrat name here _______) lie. Wa wa wa, bla, bla. And BTW, my "gull" is just fine thanks, my gall is ok too - "seriously".
Posted by: | November 08, 2007 at 10:56 AM
Now maybe Charlie will stop saying what a wonderful friend, what a wonderful person he is, how smart Wexler is. Wake up and get a clue, your best friend wants to impeach the Vice President of the United States, as well, as a member of the party you say you represent with your registration. Democrats are evil people that serve only themselves and the hell with our Country.
Posted by: | November 08, 2007 at 10:34 PM
5:42,
We don't lose the big ones. As is thoroughly documented, the two "big ones" were deliberately stolen by people who should be indicted for treason.
