Jumping ship from Mitt
From the PB Post today: "...Former state senator Dick Langley, who had been a co-chair of Mitt Romney's Florida campaign, ripped a Romney sticker off his lapel and replaced it with one of Huckabee's..
"I just couldn't figure out where Mitt stood," Langley said to applause from the crowd. "I had to have somebody that I could know where he stood, with the right values for this country and for a future for this country." "
Langley was a co-chair for Lake County.

And that, children, is how Mr. Langley got his first name.

LOL...nice

WOW!!!! Not sure the ripple effect if any (i am sure romney people will be on here trashing him) but...that is funny! On to the point that the former Rep was saying...I agree. I told one of my romneyites after the youtube debate that there wasn't a single question that mitt wanted to answer ...he danced around EVERY single one. But that is what you get with a fake candidate- he probably could not remember what he believed since he has changed so many times!

I proudly display my Mitt sticker on my car!

Are all politicians from Taxachusetts Flip-Floppers?
I support Gay marriage…now I don’t.
I support killing babies…now I don’t.
I support gun control…now I don’t.
I support stem cell research…now I don’t.
I support amnesty for illegal’s…now I don’t.
Does he remind you of another Bostonian Waffler?
Senator John F. Kerry (D)
Just a few more:
I have hunted my entire life…twice I hunted for varmints.
I don’t support tax hikes…but I raised taxes by $700 million.
I don’t support the Bush tax cuts…now I do.
I don’t support Reagan…now I do.

Oh my God! Who cares?
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 11:01 AM
Seriously... to jump over to Huckabee? A tax raising "main street" Republican that stays at the Holiday Inn? I would rather support someone that doesn't have a one line joke for serious questions of national security.

Who and the heck is Dick Langley ?
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 11:06 AM
Who cares about him OR his candidate?
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 11:14 AM
thank you 11:04 on the mark Hukabee is a joke and the Republican version of Jimmy Carter.
Sorry Dick for your lack of judgment.
Here is what Peggy Noonan says in regard to Huckabee this merning in the Wall Street Journal.
and for those in Rio Lindo that don't know; Peggy Noonan was President Reagan's speech writer and that speaks volumes about her opinion.
She's apparently one woman the Gipper trusted to write his words.
"Be Reasonable"
As Iowa sizes up the candidates,so do I.
After summing up the candidates she believes are reasonable and viable this is what she had to say about the other candidates:
"Duncan Hunter, Fred Thompson, and Bill Richardson are all reasonable--mature, accomplished, nonradical.
Mike Huckabee gets enough demerits to fall into my not-reasonable column."

Huckabee is soft & a kook.
Go Mitt!!

Just because Huckabust is a dud does not mean one should throw away one's vote on Flip-Flopping Mitt.
The one never met an issue he could not blow aaway with a trite comment (for lack of in depth knowledge of it) and the other never met an issue he couldn't firmly take BOTH sides of.

It's always summer in Romney's world.
Flip-flops required.
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 12:34 PM
1106-
You asked who he is? fair question- but big enough for romney staffers to label him a co- chair of the florida campaign...apparently they knew he was a pull
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 01:01 PM
Romney's going to lose IA and NH...Hickabee has no money and no organization outside of IA...Rudy's Florida firewall is going to crumble. Hmm, where does that leave us? McCain winning the nomination?
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 01:41 PM
Personally I, like so many others are coming to a decision based on only two things:
Taxes
War
Time to get us out of both problems. Name a candidate in the Republican Party who will do this in a strict conservative way. No pandering, no talking head, no pretty boy smile and no lies.
Dr. Ron Paul.
I see myself drawn to this candidate more everyday. My children too are drawn as they look at their options for the future of this country. As they tell me, dad you were a radical at our age. What happened? Guess that is why the polls are wrong, because they don't talk to the kids. They don't see the future as they do. I will not be blindly lead by media any longer. Sorry Rudy, Fred, Mitt, John but your just a media invention. I'll vote with the kids and bring back the Constitution of the United States of America.

Romney is losing ground, he is in trouble and knows it. He's lagging behind Huckabee in Iowa, barley ahead of McCain in NH, hes done!
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 02:15 PM
11:17...you just made the case as to why Huckabee isn't a reasonable candidate...but did you notice Romney didn't make that list either???
Maybe you should make a better argument before going out of your way to type rubbish then put your foot in your mouth.
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 02:54 PM
McCain for President
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 03:01 PM
Isn't Huckabee the guy who raised taxes in Arkansas more than Bill Clinton?
Posted by: | December 28, 2007 at 03:45 PM
2:54 wrong!
go back and read what I posted.
It said AFTER writing about the reasonable AND VIABLE ones; she had this to say..
then I posted what Noonan wrote about Hunter,Thompson, Huckabee etc
Mitt Romney was AT THE TOP OF Peggy Noonan's LIST FOR REPUBLICAN PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATES.
I also posted the LINK to the article in the WSJ today; you apparently did not read it.
Here is what Noonan wrote about Mitt:
Under the reasonable candidates:
"Mitt Romney? Yes. Characterological cheerfulness, personal stability and a good brain would be handy to have around. He hasn't made himself wealthy by seeing the world through a romantic mist. He has a sophisticated understanding of the challenges we face in the global economy. I personally am not made anxious by his flip-flopping on big issues because everyone in politics gets to change his mind once. That is, you can be pro-life and then pro-choice but you can't go back to pro-life again, because if you do you'll look like a flake. The positions Mr. Romney espouses now are the positions he will stick with. He has no choice."
Again, under Huckabee Peggy Noonan wrote:
"Mike Huckabee gets enough demerits to fall into my not-reasonable column."
Hope this clears it up FOR YOU!
Your bitter words (or "your foot") will be hard to swallow.
GO Mitt!!!

It's fun watching republicans fight about the merits of their (multiple) candidates the way democrats once did.... still do... probably always will... :-)

Um, so Langley criticizes Romney for being a flip-flopper and then flips flops himself by endorsing another candidate.? I just don't know where Langley stands.
Posted by: | December 29, 2007 at 02:23 PM
It's a nice to see a candidate who speaks well and can throw out some good lines for a change.
Whatever happens to Huckabee, I want to thank him for adding some great entertainment and common sense to this pathetic, boring collection of republican candidates.
Thompson - "Honey, is it over yet? Can we go home now? You're not going to be first lady okay."
Romney - "Can I buy everyone an Iowa a new car? Will they vote for me then? I've run out of positions I can switch on, right?"
Giuliani - "Judith, watch this. These backward idiots will vote for me no matter what...911, 911, 911. See, they love me."
McCain - "See, it's safe here in Badgad. I don't know why there's helicopters here? They must be filming a car chase. Where's the Starbucks?"

A classic former state senator Dick Langley move.
Thanks for the smile on me face.
