Marco and Huckabee?
At Presidency IV the rumors flew fast and furious that Marco Rubio was about to endorse Fred Thompson. Didn't happen. As the Univision debate in Miami looms, the rumors are flying that the House Speaker is about to endorse Mike Huckabee, who has reached out to him recently. We haven't reached Rubio yet, but his pal David Rivera, also officially neutral for now, said he hasn't heard of any pending endorsement from Rubio.

That sounds like a great ticket.

Marco never can seem to make up his mind...business as usual.

except for the rubio part
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 05:45 PM
I remember when Mitt introduced Marco as his good friend MARIO, don't you just love the BS. There all going down!

Huckabee is the man of the hour.
If he does well in Iowa, watch out.

Marco and Charlie are one in the same...of course they'd rather wait to see which way the wind blows, than endorse someone on, God forbid, principles...
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 07:19 PM
I'm sure Marco wants to make an informed decision before committing. I don't see it as changing his mind, he never committed to Thompson. of course, the media and bloggers assumed he was with Thompson

does it really matter?
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 08:08 PM
No.

yes it does.
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 08:21 PM
What a silly rumor!
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 08:25 PM
Huckabee, isn't he the guy who demanded the realese of a r a p i s t The one that got released and r a p e d and k i l l e d a women?
Posted by: stephen | December 06, 2007 at 08:59 PM
WHo cares who someone who will be forgotten before the election endorses?
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 09:35 PM
I agree with 9:35, Rubio will be totally irrelevant in a few months.
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 09:58 PM
Totally irrelevent now....can't be loyal...first it was Romney...then it was going to be Thompson...now Huckabee...pathetic.
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 10:12 PM
Ask Romney why he refused to appoint Republican judges to the Supreme Court in Mass!
Instead he appoint gay rights activists. Thanks Mitt.
Posted by: | December 06, 2007 at 11:49 PM
8:59... Actually no it isn't. Governors have no role in the pardoning process, Huckabee refused to commute his sentence, and the people who made the decision were Clinton appointees.
You are using the same tired arguments the Dems have used against him for years.

Nice Spin. Would work except that he twisted the parole boards arms and he wrote letters on how the guy should be released.
Posted by: | December 07, 2007 at 06:25 AM
Huckabee is soft on crime? Who would have thunk??
Posted by: | December 07, 2007 at 07:53 AM
Who cares? Is anyone going to go to the voting booth and vote for Huck b/c Marco endorsed him?
Posted by: | December 07, 2007 at 08:46 AM
yes. Rubio has a huge following. That's a fact.
Posted by: | December 07, 2007 at 09:37 AM
Marco's relevance is dropping like a rock.
Posted by: | December 07, 2007 at 11:10 AM
6:25 - It's not spin. Huckabee's one of the rare guys that gives us straight talk. That's why he's surging.
Huckabee wrote a letter to the guy in prison announcing he was refusing to further commute his sentence, but saying that he hoped the guy had better luck with the parole board.
I'm going to side with Huckabee over a Clinton Appointee who is campaigning for Obama...

As a Huckabee supporter, I welcome Rubio's endorsement.
In fact we welcome all of you aboard the Huckabee train. You can join us now, or you can join us after he wins the nomination. Either way, we'll welcome you with open arms.

Rubio's endorsement would be huge, and any candidate would want it. He is smart not to give it, since he would also add to the Presidential ticket of many a nominee.
Charlie? Rudy doesn't need him. This is the 6th. Borrough.
Romney? he's a phoney who will get nowhere. But aside from that, he is a conservative this week so he needs a progressive. But he needs one about whom no questions get asked. Not Charlie.
Huckabee? He needs someone from outside the South. And he is too straight to pick up the likes of Charlie.

huckleberry is a fraud and crook

I wonder if Mike Huckabee realizes he'll need a lot more than $2 million in his campaign account if he wants to be successful? I believe that a vote for Huckabee is a vote for Rudy by default.

GOPFL, First of all Huckabee has a lot more than 2 million.
Second of all, a vote for Romney is a vote for Giuliani. Huckabee has achieved twice what Romney has achieved in Iowa while spending 1/20th of the money.
There's no spin. That's fact.
Huckabee is also leading in two South Carolina polls, tied for second in one New Hampshire poll, leading in some National Polls, and in second place in most Super Tuesday States.
Meanwhile, Mitt is squandering his son's inheritance and failing miserably. Giuliani is slipping to his lowest position in the race.
Face it, America is looking for a candidate like Huckabee this time around.
America has found their next Reagan.

If anyone is going to take out Giulaini, it's Huckabee.
Posted by: | December 08, 2007 at 08:40 AM
8:38am-
Nice spin. Huckabee had 651k cash on hand as of September 30th. He's even acknowledged that he has difficulty raising money. We'll have to see how his 4th quarter figures turn out. I respect Mike Huckabee, but it's clear that he's been unable to raise the funds to be competitive. Perhaps that will change. I also don't like his record of tax increases in Arkansas.
