Trump: Florida should roll out the cards for all

22969419 Donald Trump has some advice for Charlie Crist, who is trying to sign off on a gambling compact with the Seminole Tribe that permits Vegas-style card games.

"If Florida's going to have gambling, the best thing to do is open it up to everyone." By everyone he means non-Indians, like himself. "That's the way Florida is going to make the most money ... if they go through a referendum to get it passed, which I think it would pass, and open it up. I'm all for opening it up," said Trump is who is eyeing Massachusetts for his next casino venture.

Maybe the Donald should be governor instead of Cristi? They both have bad hair and love photo ops. At least one has more business sense than the other.

It is after all the people's money. If I want to go to a casino and play black-jack isn't that my business? I work for my money and if I want to spend it then I should be able to. And for the record I am a very conservative Republican.

the Donald should align himself with Marco if he realistically expects that to happen in Florida.

if Marco prevails in his suit against the Gov, thereby successfully derailing the Seminole compact it will open that possibility up down the road.

the Donald already got taken to the cleaners by the Noles once (he was bamboozled out of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino deal).

what's the old saying Donald: "if you can't beat em then join em"?

on another note it would be interesting to see how much Marco and David have raked in from Calder, Hialeah and Miami Jai Lai.

Trump is right and if we had a vote of the people by county it would pass in most places that are not stil held hostiage by the christian right. That is what has kept casinos out of Florida and with the death of the christian coalition in florida it would pass.

This whole thing was Charlie's devious plan to get gambling in the whole state from the start...

Cut out the legislature, get the compact thrown out, have the feds come in and allow the gambling anyway...

and then all of Florida's citizens would be in support of gambling to get the revenue...since it is here anyway.

I dunno if it would pass in a statewide vote, it probably would, but be very close. I wouldn't allow casinos everywhere though. Keep it away from Orlando...maybe Miami, Tampa and Jacksonville only.

Donald Bad Hair ruined Palm Beach when he acquired the most beautiful estate on the island and totally bastardized the property. Now he wants to destroy the state. Casinos have killed the parimutuel industry and now he wants more. Maybe he should just return to New York where he belongs.

TRUMP FOR GOVERNOR!

Down with the Christian Taliban!

Donald Trump is pure sleaze.

Do Flordians a favor Donald.... have your second home in Vegas not here.

Cya later, and don't let the door hit you on the way out!

Donald when will your condos be built in Tampa? Two years ago?

If gambling is allowed in FL, huge gaming companies like MGM, WYNN, VENETIAN, HARRAH'S would dominate. They would build huge mega-casinos like Vegas.

I say no.
No to parimutuals, No to gaming companies.

Florida gaming is completly backwards. We should either allow full gaming or limit gaming to the type of games that bring wealthy visitors to our state. Otherwise we are just moving dollars from one pocket to the other with no real economic gain to the state.
