Giuliani announces veterans team members

Before he hits Melbourne and West Palm Beach on Wednesday -- and finds out the results of that little contest in New Hampshire -- Rudy Giuliani made official his list of veterans coalition members. (Giuliani courted veterans at the American Legion Post in Largo on Dec. 26.)

Retired Army Col. Charley Price of DeBary is the state chair. The list includes retired admirals Robert Natter of Ponte Vedra Beach and Kevin Delaney of Jacksonville, who are also among his national military policy advisors.

See below for more.

"I know that Rudy Giuliani is the best candidate to lead our nation as the Commander-in-Chief," said Charley Price, a retired Army Colonel and the State Chair of Florida Veterans for Rudy.  "Rudy understands the sacrifices that veterans have made for this country and will be an advocate for the needs of all veterans throughout the country."

He'll probably get beat by Ron Paul in the first two primaries, but he's got a Vet coalition in Florida. Glad to see he has his priorities in order.

Typical GOP. He's not even elected, and he's already itching to go to war.

What an awesome coalition-- good work, Giuliani campaign!

Too little, too late, Rudy.

You should have contested Iowa and New Hampshire, instead of ceding all the momentum to Mike Huckabee and now John McCain.

But you didn't, so you've lost the national lead to Huckabee and are in a statistical tie with McCain for 2nd.

Congratulations, Rudy - you've won this month's "Fred Thompson Award" for missing your window so completely.

I have known Charley Price for a number of years & have the utmost respect for him.

In his capacity as chairman of Florida Veterans for Rudy, he will, as always, do a fine job.

However, I support John McCain, but, I will make Rudy my second choice, out of my friendship with Charley.
