Good enuf for Rudy then good enuf for Fasano
Sen. Mike Fasano says he's following Rudy Giuliani and getting behind John McCain. "His chances are outstanding," said Fasano, who was contacted by the McCain camp. "We now have someone who not only has leadership abilities but can beat Hillary Clinton."

Ya, beat Shrillary is the main point. All you purists out there who want the perfect conservative icon, get over it. Even Reagan was considered a liberal Republican before he became president.

Congratulations Sen. Fasano on the Amendment 1 victory. Your leadership helped carry the day. You did an excellent job.

Fasano is thinking of running for Congress. I heard that he is going to ask Victor Crist to jump on board and go to DC with him as his aide. I heard that three times in the last two days.

7:44 That does not sound right. But then again if he took a colleague who knew the legislative process that could be a real help to him. He has risen to leadership whereas V. Crist has not. So it just could be true.

Iraq was lost. Making the argument that we will not surrender to a nation that has no real Army is just more fear drivel. We are now responsible for 1 million dead and 4 million displace Iraqis as well as a trillion dollars in infrastructure, not to mention US lives an treasure.
You have a republican candidate from another failed war trying to rewrite history, it can't be done. McMunchkin is a sorry excuse for a senator let alone a president. The Brick Road is Yellow from from republicans pissing on logic. Suggesting that McMunchkin is presidential material is just another example of which head is working.

The GOP is desperate to keep the whitehouse.
McCain?
Of:
McCain FienGold
McCain Kennedy
McCain Clinton
The guy who sent his aide out to fish for a spot with Kerry as his runningmate?
the GOP gave us a cerified MORON twice
now they want to give us another Alzheimer's Victim

Someone tell him the Florida Primary is over. He didn't make a call when it could have mattered. Now he is just bandwagonning.
In general I have always supported him believing he was a solid conservative but now that he is coming out of the closet as a McCain supporter I am going to be less enthusiastic.
Does he really think that McAmnesty can win without the conservative base working to get out the vote and the checkbook.
History repeats itself. Dole in 96 was loved by the establishment Republicans and no one else. Remember veterans would never vote for a draft dodger over a war hero? Now we have a war the majority of Americans are sick of and McAmnesty is the guy telling them to suck it up for another 100 years if that is what it takes.
McAmnesty is not going to be the next President, CrAmnesty is not going to be the next VP, there will not be appointments to a new administration passed out to bandwaggoners all over Florida and Gus will be keeping his seat.
Now get back to work on property insurance and taxes.

Mike Fasano is an IDIOT. And since he lives with his Mother, has no idea about how expensive living for those of us in the real world can be. He is a JOKE. He is a board member for a local hospital - gets $50K per year for that and always votes AGAINST patient care. And the citizens keep falling for his garbage. HE is a poster child for a POLITICIAN....certainly not a "public servant"....He is a self servant....Wake up, people - do not further his career at your own expense..

Mike Fasano is a mean nasty man and it saddens me that he would sully the reputation of Senator McCain with his endorsement. I voted for the Senator in the Primary and will do so again in the general. I do hope, however, that Fasano has no place in his future administration. I can't imagine any way a prior military officer would allow a gay in his administration.
Posted by: | February 01, 2008 at 03:13 PM
Actually 3:13, they are both mean and nasty men....And you are very naive if you think that there are many gays from local to national politics (Look at Crist...another supporter of McInsane)..
It is a shame that you would vote for McInsane...He is THE END of the Republican party ...And he will LOSE to Hillary or Obama....
(I assume you are a senior citizen female and that you also voted Yes on the tax amendment....)

Should be...."you are naive....there are NOT many gays...."

I like McCain, but I couldn't agree more that Fassano is a mean, nasty little man. A little weird too. He's a single, living at home, Catholic who is a youth soccer couch. Don't know about you, but I don't want this guy anywhere near my kids!!
Fassano is also the biggest pawn to the special interests and corporations who don't mind who does their bidding so long as someone does their bidding. In 2004 just 11% of his political contributions came from individuals. 89% from corporations, lobbyists, party committees, and special interests groups.
But like someomen else said, he's a stand behind your man kind of guy.
And a loser.

If you liked Mark Foley, you'll LOVE Mike Fassano.
Posted by: | February 02, 2008 at 06:27 AM
It's the stupid uneducated old ladies (like 3:13) who keep voting for him....
Posted by: Tammy | February 02, 2008 at 10:41 AM
Fassano is an opportunistic tool of the GOP establishment in Tallahassee. McCain probably doesn't even have a clue who this bandwagon jumping little twerp is.

This is no friedn of John McCain's. According to Project Vote Smart:
Senator Mike B. Fasano REPEATEDLY REFUSED TO PROVIDE ANY RESPONSES TO CITIZENS ON ISSUES THROUGH THE 2004 NATIONAL POLITICAL AWARENESS TEST
Senator Mike B. Fasano REFUSED TO PROVIDE THIS INFORMATION WHEN ASKED TO DO SO BY:
Major News Organizations and key national leaders of both parties including,
John McCain, Republican Senator
Geraldine Ferraro, Former Democratic Congresswoman
Michael Dukakis, Former Democratic Governor
Bill Frenzel, Former Republican Congressman
Richard Kimball, Project Vote Smart President
(among others).
Clearly this is someone who has lots to hide in his closet.
