Huckabee: Don't believe the rumors!
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee wants to set the record straight.
During a rally at a private airport hangar in Fort Lauderdale Wednesday evening, he repeated his intent to stick it out and campaign hard in Florida.
"There's some pretty crazy rumors going around that the Huckabee campaign is pulling out of Florida," Huckabee said. "Well, it doesn't look like it to me," he added over a chorus of "We Like Mike!"
Later during a late-night media availability, Huckabee added: "Those news reports that our demise is imminent are much exaggerated."
What his campaign lacks in organization (the rally was planned a few days ago) and money (they're still not on TV) they make up for in grass-roots charisma and ingenuity.
His supporters tout digging deep into their own pockets to campaign on his behalf.
“Basically we’ve been out here campaigning for Mike by spending our own money,” said Diana Sienkiewicz, a 38-year-old mother from Pompano Beach who works in seafood sales. “He’s that good.” She created this T-shirt, which she's wearing.

If voters will closely examine what Huckabee's FairTax will mean to them ( snipr.com/nextrung ), they'll understand its benefits and flock to his campaign.
Gov. Huckabee's advocacy of the FairTax ( snipr.com/irsgone ) is the single most important policy position in this election. Research findings explain why:
The FairTax rate of 23 percent on a total taxable consumption base of $11.244 trillion will generate $2.586 trillion dollars – $358 billion more than the taxes it replaces ( snipurl.com/whatratewks ). [BHKPT]
The FairTax has the broadest base and the lowest rate of any single-rate tax reform plan ( snipurl.com/baserate ). [THBP]
Real wages are 10.3 percent, 9.5 percent, and 9.2 percent higher in years 1, 10, and 25, respectively than would otherwise be the case ( snipurl.com/realwages ). [THBNP]
The economy as measured by GDP is 2.4 percent higher in the first year and 11.3 percent higher by the 10th year than it would otherwise be ( snipurl.com/econbenes ). [ALM]
Consumption benefits ( snipurl.com/econbenes ) [ALM]:
• Disposable personal income is higher than if the current tax system remains in place: 1.7 percent in year 1, 8.7 percent in year 5, and 11.8 percent in year 10.
• Consumption increases by 2.4 percent more in the first year, which grows to 11.7 percent more by the tenth year than it would be if the current system were to remain in place.
• The increase in consumption is fueled by the 1.7 percent increase in disposable (after-tax) personal income that accompanies the rise in incomes from capital and labor once the FairTax is enacted.
• By the 10th year, consumption increases by 11.7 percent over what it would be if the current tax system remained in place, and disposable income is up by 11.8 percent.
Over time, the FairTax benefits all income groups. Of 42 household types (classified by income, marital status, age), all have lower average remaining lifetime tax rates under the FairTax than they would experience under the current tax system ( snipurl.com/kotcomparetaxrates ). [KR]
Implementing the FairTax at a 23 percent rate gives the poorest members of the generation born in 1990 a 13.5 percent improvement in economic well-being; their middle class and rich contemporaries experience a 5 percent and 2 percent improvement, respectively ( snipurl.com/kotftmacromicro ). [JK]
Based on standard measures of tax burden, the FairTax is more progressive than the individual income tax, payroll tax, and the corporate income tax ( snipurl.com/lessregress ). [THBPN]
Charitable giving increases by $2.1 billion (about 1 percent) in the first year over what it would be if the current system remained in place, by 2.4 percent in year 10, and by 5 percent in year 20 ( snipurl.com/moregiving ). [THPDB]
On average, states could cut their sales tax rates by more than half, or 3.2 percentage points from 5.4 to 2.2 percent, if they conformed their state sales tax bases to the FairTax base ( snipurl.com/staterates ). [TBJ]
The FairTax provides the equivalent of a supercharged mortgage interest deduction, reducing the true cost of buying a home by 19 percent ( snipurl.com/homebenes ). [WM]

Gov. Mike Huckabee is the only Republican candidate who will be able to have the cross-over appeal needed to win in November. He has already beaten the Clinton political machine in Arkansas four times. Lots of people in Florida have changed their party affiliation to be able to vote for Gov. Huckabee in the Republican Primary next Tuesday.

Huckabee is never going to see November. His best days are behind him.
He can say what ever he wants but when you run out of money, it runs you out of the race.
I like Mitt and I'm voting for him on the 29th. Mitt cut spending to bridge a three billion dollar gap in his state. He balanced the budget three out of four years in Mass as well.
Mitts also raised more money that any other GOP canidate this campain. Mitt has more votes and deligates than any other canidate.
He has the most becuase his message reflects what the people in America have been screaming for years. People also reconize that politicians have been trying to fix this country for years and they're not going to get it done.
Vote For Mitt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's over for Hick and Rudy. It's a sad state of affairs that the candidates the Republican Party wants are a guy that most real Republicans hate and a flip-flopper.

Florida for Huckabee...I like the guy, but to say he has "cross over appeal" is laughable....

Bless his heart!

Hey Rubio HOW ABOUT A FAIR TAX FOR FLORIDIANS?????
Why don't you file a bill which would ELIMINATE PROPERTY TAXES ENTIRELY and REFORM STATE TAXES BY ELIMINATING FAT CAT EXEMPTIONS!!!!!

Aw Shucks.
Now move on and endorse someone.

Heres the difference between Mitt and Mike
1) Mitt = flip flopper who was elected as Governor on a Pro-Choice platform
Mike = consistent conservative who has ALWAYS valued life
2) Mitt = supporters who are happy to take anything that he has paid for and distribute as long as they are getting paid to do do.
Mike = supporters who pay for Huckabee materials themselves and give their time to the campaign for free
Which group do you think is more dedicated?
Mitt = buying Clear Channel to intimidate talk radio hosts into supporting him
Mike = winning on ability. Newt Gingrich did say that Mike was the only candidate who could win in November.
I LIKE MIKE! HUCK YOU!
