Pasco County voting going smoothly

DADE CITY -- Voting in Pasco was largely peaceful Tuesday. Crowds didn't besiege polling stations, with just three people reported lining up at 7 a.m. outside the First Baptist Church in Dade City, a popular polling station. At 2 p.m., voter turnout was at 22 percent, looking well on its way to breach the 28 percent threshold in 2004.

At the Election Service Center, the nerve center of Pasco's polling operations, Supervisor of Elections Brian Corley said he hasn't been deluged with calls.

I vote at that precinct! My church got a van and took a whole bunch of us down to vote for Huckabee.

Pasco is McCain Country!

Pasco is HUCKABEE country. I voted for him there too.

At my Pasco voting precinct, when I showed them my voter ID, they gave me a breakfast sandwich and told me they were out of fish.

I voted for Obama in Pasco.

The Democratic election matters because the people of Florida are making it matter, with grass-roots campaigning and big Democratic turnout in Florida.

Who ever wins, they will receive hundreds of thousands of votes - that nothing to sneeze at.

PS - What else is CNN going to put on their big charts and graphs?

Governor Crist knows that amendment 1 will fail but on the flip side he can say I tried to keep my campaign promise but ,the people did not want crumbs that we were trying to toss them. Of course he will be right the people want true and lasting tax reform. ..if you are Republican then find away to correct the problem. TAX REVOLT coming stay tuned. . .

Brian Corley is doing a great job for Pasco! We're proud of our Supervisor of Elections!

Maverick couldn't you even wait for the results before you start shoving your corporate-sponsored neocon "peoples" tax revolt down our throats again???

Why is the entire article Pasco County voting going smoothly not here? Obviously it was not entirely smooth if voters had party affiliation changed!! I know of one that has been a Republican for 22 years (and worked for the Republican Headquarters in that time) and voted such over the years and when she went to vote they told her she was a Democrat. Your paper states that she had NO affiliation till 2004. IT IS UNTRUE. So things are not smooth. If your records show that what happened to her 22 years of votes did they NOT count? Smooth, I think NOT.
