Pro-lifers for Huckabee
John Stemberger and Dr. David Uth, heads of the Florida Huckabee Faith and Values Coalition, announced a round of endorsements today, calling Mike Huckabee the most qualified candidate for social conservatives.
Names include Rep. Frank Attkisson, Barbara Collier of the Christian Coalition in Broward County and Pam Olson of Florida Prayer Network (full list in jump).
"Florida 's closed primary is a different ball game than in New Hampshire and South Carolina where independents and liberal democrats can cross over and vote for a candidate like John McCain," Stemberger said. "Social and religious conservatives comprise upwards of forty percent of the primary voters in Florida and Governor Huckabee can be very competitive and could win Florida as the consensus continues to build."

Dear voters,
Come on...does NO ONE give a crap about the military? Romney and Hickabee?!? Really?!? Seriously guys, don't waste your vote on some fringe tart who will lose and thus allow a Clinton or Black Muslim become my boss. Please! I already served under one Clinton, once is enough.
Regards,
A concerned infantryman

more bad news for mitt
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 12:34 PM
Hey infantryman, I hate to tell you but McCain isn't going to be good for the military. Just being a veteran doesn't make you a good candidate. Securing our borders and kicking out illegal immigrants is the greatest threat to our nation, McCain is as liberal as they get there....John Kerry was in the military too, should prove my point.....
Posted by: AJS | January 24, 2008 at 12:35 PM
Why did Mitt give money to Planned Parenthood and attend their "charity event"?
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 12:42 PM
Is old and tired looking--can possibly not live out his term. So if he wants to win, he better pick a good one as it will be the next president. Huckabilly sho nuff ain't it.
Posted by: McCain | January 24, 2008 at 12:58 PM
12:22,
Being in the military doesn't give you the right to be an ignorant bigot. First, Barack Obama is not a Muslim. Even if he was, neither a candidate's religion nor his race should affect your decision.
Posted by: Flagophile | January 24, 2008 at 01:02 PM
Mitt never gave money to plan parenthood. Do you not have anything better to do with your life than spread lies on blogs?
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 01:08 PM
There is one very bitter person who lives on this blog who likes to trash Romney supports as "always backing losers." This person, who loses every election he runs for or works for, is a Rudy supporter. We are loving this laugh at your expense!
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 01:14 PM
AJS you talk big. But while infantryman serves and John McCain spent 6 years in a Community POW camp, where were YOU??
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 01:26 PM
hey! hey!
gwshrub was in the military, too
ooooooooooopps!!
guess that kinda muddles things and takes the edge off of that arguement, doesnt it?

Huckabee is a decent man. I may not always agree with him, but he is a man who abides by his convictions.
Romney, on the other hand was pro-choice until he decided to run for President, then he became pro-life. He was more liberal than Ted Kennedy on gay issues. Until he decided to run for President. Then he is for the marriage amendment.
He says he is a great businessman (because the economy is in a slump and the polls say the economy is uppermost in the minds of the voters. In reality, he raised the gas tax in Mass. closed tax loopholes on businesses and his company, Bains Capital? He made money by buying companies, tearing them apart, firing all the employees and selling the parts at a profit. Then depositing that profit offshore. How does that help Americans?
Romney is NO conservative and No businessman. Just an arrogant gas bag with too much money.

Good pickups for Huckabee.

I thought the Star Wars Bar closed when Gallagher lost by 30.
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 01:43 PM
Rubio just goes on picking one lost cause after another. Pick battles you can win buddy, if you want to challenge Cristi in 2010.
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 01:46 PM
Hmmm. So when Huckabee crashes and burns, will the pro-lifers go away too?
Posted by: Chris W | January 24, 2008 at 01:48 PM
The only way to get a brokered convention is to vote for Rudy. A split convention is the only hope that we aren't stuck with any of these folks. We can only hope the dems broker their convention as well so we aren't stuck with either of those jokers either. How great would a Biden v. Gingrich race look right now?

freddie phelps, everybodys favorite bap'ist homersectional basher is now saying his disciples will gather to protest at heath ledgers memorial service 'cause he portrayed a homersection in a movie.
lets ask huckleberry, likewise a bap'ist somethingorother, what he thinks about a fellow-bap'ist behaving in such a manner at a memorial service?
should be interesting, doncha think?

3:13, I am an evangelical, but certainly no Huckabee fan. I have been and will continue to be extremely critical of him, but neither he nor the VAST majority of evangelicals would condone or support the behaviour of Phelps. As evangelicals, we oppose homosexuality, but we do so in love. We are all sinners, regardless of which sins are the most temping to each of us. Phelps is a false teacher and I, along with almost every other evangelical, condemn his actions vehemently!!!!
Having said that, don't vote for Huckabee!!!!
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 03:21 PM
well put, 3.21
buttttttttttttttt...........
will huckleberry have the guts to be as fortright as you?
btw, i think you are vastly overestimating the compassion level of the standard-issue ahistoricalevangelicaldumbdamentalist
altho, i doubt you fall into that catagory
you seem far too articulate and intelligent

Actually 1:26 I am in the Army (Active Duty)...I just don't think I need to point that fact out to get my point across. I have almost nine years in service with two of those being in Iraq....anymore bright questions?
Posted by: AJS | January 24, 2008 at 03:51 PM
Huckabee knows how to lose.
First, the weight... now, the election!
Posted by: Romney fan!!! | January 24, 2008 at 04:53 PM
"good for the military"
exacly what does that mean?
especially when we are surrounded by enablers of the drunk who has DESTROYED the u.s. military, probably for a generation?
not one of those posers can find one thing negative to say about the fool who invaded vietraq on raft of lies, failed to support any workable policy for "victory" (thats a totally different matter) and continues to drool out nonsensicalblather about the "mission" while we loose hundreds of captains and majors, not to mention other qualified officers and nco's because of the stupidity of this administration and its "war (lack of)plans."
good for the military my butt!!
if the chimp and his controllers had set out to deliberately DESTROY our military, they couldnt have done a better job.
hows come there are thousands of air force and naval personnel in vietraq today, filling holes that the army lacks trained, experienced personnel to fill?
"good for the military"!!!!
horsefeathers!!!
FOURTHOUSANDDEAD and still counting!!
totally delusional!!!!

Who on earth cares...at least this helps McCain!

The Huckster wants to change the Constitution to fit his religious views. He does not like the melting pot we live in, the US. This kind of extreme behavior has a very real middle east flavor. Very scary. If you live in this country and lets say you are not religious, or not of the same religion, or if you just do not think government should be that far up your butt, then be very scared of the Huckster. If he becomes the Republican nominee, I will vote for the Democrat.
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 06:59 PM
I am staunchly Pro-Life and cannot stomach the rest of Huckabee's positions. The more I see of his tactics and his love for pardoning murderers the worse it gets. I also do not like the fact that he is wearing his religion on his sleeve and exploiting it for political gain. He will not get the vote of this evangelical Christian. For some reason his tactics remind me of the Taliban.

Desperation in the Huckabee campaign.
No doubts about that.
Posted by: | January 24, 2008 at 08:40 PM
AJS, " ..anymore bright questions?" nope but how about a suggestion?
Get a real job and stop following nincompoops into Flavor of the Month Wars.
If this was truly such a massive threat as some have proclaimed why is it so hard to justify? 950 lies got us there, hello you've been played for a fool.
McCain is a single malt candidate, "Vote for me and I'll make sure we don't Surrender to those Terrorists."
"Spending, spending is the problem" I said spending is the problem, you know $250 million in a bridge to nowhere."
Ground to McCain, at least in the end the tax payer would have a bridge instead of a hole in the ground to pour their money into. The chances of someone coming from Iraq and bombing US with WMD is nil. Why do we need to spend 2 billion dollars a week to keep that from happening? And if that's not the reason, then maybe…..McCain wants to spend 2 billion dollars a week to save face?
The reason for war in Iraq was a lie, your need to be there was based on a lie, and a vote for McCain is a vote to continue the lie, while sacrificing good Americans in a bad plan. McCain is a Psychopath who is comfortable blaming Rumsfeld but not the real culprit …..Dumbush himself.
