Rudy channels his inner 'underdog'
SARASOTA -- Speaking to several hundred at the Columbia Restaurant, Rudy Giuliani urged people to vote with "hope" for the future this morning. He should know about optimism, down in the polls after being the state's front-runner.
"We're coming in first," he told reporters, but later acknowledged his current role, saying, "I feel like I am an underdog."
So you're asking for sympathy voters, asked a reporter?
"No, no, no," Giuliani responded, laughing. "I think you get a lot of attention as the underdog, and there's a certain feeling of coming from behind that appeals to the American people."

"inneradultrouslyingpreening
arrogantunderthug" would be a better turn of phrase!!

It was a great event. Jon Voight was with Rudy. The restaurant was FULL, standing and seated. About 300 inside, 150 to 200 outside. Rudy said it was many more than expected !!!

Rudy is done.
This is now a two man race between say anything Romney, and maverick McCain.
I'm voting for McCain as I cant stand the thought of a Republican version of Bill Clinton (Romney).

"I think you get a lot of attention as the underdog, and there's a certain feeling of coming from behind that appeals to the American people."
Well everyone else is starting to steal Ron Paul's platform so why not Rudy try to play the role as underdog. The problem is people are behind Ron Paul because he is a man of principle something Rudy will never understand.
