Is Crist ever in Florida anymore?

i heart greer
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 01:34 PM
What has Greer ever done to deserve such negative treatment?
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 01:36 PM
Does the man ever work? really?

I'd like to know what that defense contractor owned "Iraqi Air Force" plane was doing here in Florida. Maybe there's a good reason for it, but it stinks like some type of aborted Bush-era covert operation against the anti-war opinions of the voting public. SPT, give us the truth.

2:02 - put down the crack pipe and step away from the blowtorch
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 02:05 PM
2:02 - it was in Florida escorting a UFO that had the 2nd shooter from the grassy knoll. It wasnt see by all because it was protected by the black helicopters. Better put on your tin foil hat because now that you know, they are coming for you.
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 02:09 PM
2:02 Whatever. The SPT articles says law enforcement was asked to cover the plane's markings (ie hid them from the public.) Isn't that a little suspicious?

Greer wants to know- where are the best strip clubs in DC?
The Greer strip club allegations in Brevard are hurting his GOP candidate Campbell there(running for disgraced sex offender Bob Allen's GOP House seat)so he needs to stay out of the county until after the election on Tuesday.

At least it is Saturday, and if, God willing, Charlie decides to work the whole week, he won't have to leave until Saturday afternoon.

Greer and the other FL GOP are jetting up to lend their fellowship to McCain and the other DC members of the "Family Values Coalition" chapter of AA. (Adulterers Anonymous)

It should be a great event at a bargain price. I'm glad to see Governor raising coin for the GOP! They put together a first class host committee.
The Willard is a great hotel. The term "lobbyist" originated there during the Grant Administration. With Jim Greer and Governor Crist at the helm we'll definitely be united on the path to victory!!!

What's the money being raised for? RPOF? McCain? What are the details?
Interested parties want to know.

Even if he doesn't leave until Saturday, my guess is he hasn't worked a whole week. I don't believe he has since he took office. And if he wants anyone to take him seriously, he probably shouldn't talk. Great job Charlie. Go to your $5,000 per person fundraising dinner. Maybe while you're there you can propose raising money by creating a NATIONAL lottery with additional games!

Greer can hit some of the clubs over in Gallery Place while he's here in town.

I hear that DC has the best prostitutes.

$5,000-per person is just about enough to cover our insurance premium… hmmmm… HEY CHUCK; I’ve got a way you can cover that whole “drop like a rock” lie thing!
… chemically-tanned and hair-dyed schmuck!

No wonder the Campbell ralley was cancelled at the last minute today. The 2 tag team of Christ and Greer saw greener pastures in DC.
Just wondering how a tightly held Republican seat like Brevard's 32 seat is going to stand up against the powerhouse being moved forward in that area?
Now that would be an embarrassment to the RPOF to lose that seat.
And then the deck of cards started to crumble.

Probably fundraising for another amendment type 1 fiasco that puts the screws to businesses and non-SOH people.
But then again, what do we expect from the fearless, tan-faced leader and his woman-loving side kick when tan-faced doesn't even own his own property in the lovely Sunshine State. So exactly how can he truly say "he feels our pain?" As the screws continue to turn.

Is this paid time off for Charlie? As I see it, the Citizen's of Florida expect him to be here working for us (isn't he THE PEOPLE'S Governor) at a MINIMUM during the work week.
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 05:27 PM
Yes, go ahead and dock his pay. What is Greer doing up there also? Does he too have higher aspirations - God help us- with the RNC?
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 05:28 PM
OMG--- get over the crap about the Governor being out of town!! I am sick of reading that stupid comment. He is our Governor and he is out promoting Florida!! Everyone that reads your small minded comment blog after blog--day after day thinks you are an idiot! We get what you are trying to say we just don't think you are bright enough to get the way it is!

6:03 (Charlie Crist and Jim Greer's press minions)
sounds like you could use some anger management.
why don't you go for a swim tomorrow morning with your buddy Chuck?
I hear that relieves stress.
then you can catch some rays with Chuck at the tanning salon (very relaxing).
and to top it off later in the day you can go to the strip clubs with Chairman Greer (really, really relaxing). Of course Charlie won't have any interest in joining you there.
it used to be once upon a time in this country a man was expected to "give a full day's work for a full day's pay".
I guess that doesn't fly in the Charlie the tuna administration!

the governor is NOT responsible to be the exclusive cheerleader for Florida - that's enterprise Florida and OTTED's job. Our Governor is supposed to work in Tallahassee and get into the office before 10 a.m. He has NEVER gotten into the office earlier than 10 a.m. in the last year. This is pathetic!
Posted by: | February 21, 2008 at 11:49 PM
We have a Governor? ... could have fooled me, oops... seems like Chuck fooled a lot of people.
Recall "The People's Mistake"
Posted by: | February 22, 2008 at 08:43 AM
What is it with some people? The anger and bitterness that comes out whenever our governor---who is still wildly popular with the voters---is unbelieveable. Charley has tapped into what should be the new Republican philosophy. Unless you want to lose Florida like Congress, you should be backing him up.He's actually made progress on some long-time problems, and he's more in tune with the majority of people than a lot of elected officials still taking up space in the capital.
Your bitterness over that is astonishing.

can you pass whatever it is you've been smoking because you are delusional?
Florida taxpayers expect their Chief Executive to be on the job at least Monday-Friday preferably at least 9-5 addressing their concerns (taxes, insurance, budget, public education, etc.)
How many days has Charlie actually been IN THE OFFICE since he got elected?
Just by following the news everyday, it seems he's off somewhere doing something not even remotely related to the concerns of Florida taxpayers.
It seems more about advancing Charlie Crist's political career more than anything else.
In the meantime, Florida's economy continues to slide down the tubes, the tax problems continue to wreak havoc on our economy, property insurance is still through the roof and the transition into recession is already happening (declining sales tax revenue).
As O'Reilly likes to say: "tell me where I'm going wrong here"?
Posted by: terminator | February 22, 2008 at 09:10 AM
wow, is this guy ever in Tallahassee anymore?
Posted by: | February 22, 2008 at 09:32 AM
terminator - I agree with you that the governor needs to get back to the office and quit his grandstanding. It's also obvious that he's pissed off the "old guard" GOP in Tallhassee. But "where you're going wrong" is in making the connection between old guard GOP policies and "the concerns of Florida taxpayers." When he is doing his job, Crist does seem to be more in touch with the wishes of the taxpayers, which is not the same thing as bowing and scraping to lobbyists, realtors, developers, and other generally selfish special interest groups who only claim to represent the citizens of Florida when it suits their own purposes, and when they can get away with it.

Oh cmon on!
You aren't really buying Charlie's populist BS are you?
Look at some classic examples. Charlie was down on FPL and bada bing, bada boom who pumped a cool million into Amendment One?
Look at Charlie's past campaign finance reports and see how much money he got from Big Insurance.
He raised over $30 million during the campaign and that didn't include his 527. Who do you think was making all those contributions (John Q Citizen)?
It's all a big hoax to hoodwink the taxpayers.
You don't really think those guys up in Tally care about me and you do you?
Charlie's a nice guy, talks the talk but he definately doesn't walk the walk.
Jeb was in your face. Charlie is a lot sneakier in how he goes about it.
Most Floridians are just trying to eke out a living and pay their taxes and insurance.
Thomas Jefferson would be rolling in his grave if he saw the state of Florida politics.
If you really want to see who's buying access just look at Brian and Mac's client list.

9:34 is absolutely right.
Posted by: | February 22, 2008 at 01:25 PM
the Governor is wildly popular with "The People" because the people are, as usual and in general, ignorant buffoons who rely on nothing more than a 5 minute daily sound bite and the way one's hai rlooks to make policy judgments.
C'mon people, its politics and this little song and dance has been played the same way for 2 centuries.

Lay off the strip club comments with Greer. The moron who threw those accusations out there ran against Greer years ago and is a bitter Democrat trying to get some attention. He has shut up since he can not validate his claims against Greer. Anyone who knows Greer knows that he is a family guy, he has three kids and one the way and he takes his family everywhere that he can. Start spewing your venom towards a true enemy, any Democrat, and stop attacking the leaders of the party you claim to support.
