A potshot at Jim Greer?
Get a load of this Florida Today ad linking Jim Greer to an adult club. The ad was placed by a onetime (and apparently continuing) political opponent of Greer's, and there's no evidence that it's actually true. More from Florida Today here.
The state GOP declined to dignify the claims with a comment.

OUCH

Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:07 PM
WOW!
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:07 PM
No wonder Greer is supporting fellow GOP "solicitor" Sean Campbell for Bob Allen's District 32 House seat.Birds of a feather...
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:08 PM
I heard that he owned several strip clubs, truth???
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:09 PM
Why does this surprise anyone !!!
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:10 PM
I bet Carole Jordan could find those extra 5 votes now.

this should be quite entertaining!
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:16 PM
Family Values GOP hypocrites "exposed" again!! Larry Craig, Bob Allen, Mark Foley, Jim Greer....
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:16 PM
Yeah right, The Times will shut this baby down in less than 15 minutes. All it will take is that magic phone call from the Frenchman !
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:18 PM
WHAT!, a Republican involved in a perverted sex scandal?
Why, I never heard of such a thing.
Signed,
Bob Allen

I'm sorry - is it illegal to go to strip clubs?
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:20 PM
Crist will have this link closed in a very short time.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:21 PM
I just drove by the RPOF and there were at least 10-15 staffers sprinting toward the elevators on the way back from lunch. My only guess is that you will feel their presence on this blog in less than 5 minutes...
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:21 PM
To all those "new" Republicans who keep calling true Republicans Rhinos and other names, this is what you people have done to the party, and you keep defending corruption and hypocracy. And you young Repub staffers, you have no idea what the Republican philosophy really is. You have been badly used so as the crooks in the party continue to make money and ultimately destroy the real Republicans and the party.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:22 PM
This is such BS , anything to go after Crist and his people,

Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:23 PM
This isn't about Crist (I like the Governor). It's about an out of control party chairman who was never vetted.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:24 PM
That is no shock to me. Greer had to quietly settle a sexual harassment complaint against an employee shortly after taking control at RPOF.
I'm more shocked that the Times is reporting this, since they saw fit to remove and censor the sexual harassment topic last week. Let's see if they censor it again.
You've been a naughty boy Jim and your sin will find you, even if the Times act as your personal press corp.

What year was greer on the board at flash dancers?
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:25 PM
Did not Greer beat this guy twice for election and now he's running against someone that Crist endorsed, The guy is known thruout Brevard as a kook, Sorry Chairman and Mrs Greer you have to go thru this Crap!! , keep up the good work
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:26 PM
Yep; the staffers are back from lunch.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:28 PM
I don't money will save the Repiglicans if they continue to be the "party" of hypocrisy, bigotry and financial cluelessness.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:28 PM
This is not about Crist. He has shown he is not the Johnny come lately Republican. This is soley about Greer. He should step down and let this party struggle to get back to where it used to be. It once was respected .
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:28 PM
Flashdancers won't be a club that Charlie is going to anytime soon, if you know what I mean.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:29 PM
Time for Greer to resign. Tom Gallagher would make a great party chairman. Terminator could be director of communications.

This attack ad was poorly written. There is a reason for that.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:34 PM
2:28 - the sky is man that soup is hot can we sit on a swing and go nanny nanny boo boo.
my post just made about as much sense as yours
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:35 PM
2:34 I prefer substance over form. There is a lot of beef in that bun.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:36 PM
Who cares how the ad was written- will Greer confirm or deny the allegations in it? I bet NO! The spin doctors at RPOF are working right now on the cover up. Buckle up boys, this could be a rough flight.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:37 PM
2:28 What planet are you from? Uranus?
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:38 PM
No way are Greer and Delmar going to give up those nightly $40 steaks without a fight. I wouldn't bank on a resignation.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:39 PM
They are letting the allegations come out now from a bitter man who can't write. They want the allegations to lack credibility, despite the real substance.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:39 PM
2:33
thanks for the plug!
this is the kind of pub that Charlie would really like to get.
enough of the trite sound bytes and lame photo-ops standing behind Johnnie Walnuts!
Posted by: terminator | February 14, 2008 at 02:41 PM
If Greer and Delmar are forced out the profit margin at Crackerbarrel, Huddlehouse and Shoney's are going to take a major hit.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:42 PM
Does McAmnesty dig these kind of clubs?
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:43 PM
Hey, after surrounding himself with the likes of State Sen. Mike "light in the lofers" Fasano, (which surely can't help the rumors about Charlie what parading him around the state with him in that fancy bus for a few days to promote A1), maybe Charlie figured he needed to work on the "straight" vote by getting his do-boy Greer to get in with some strip clubs...
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:47 PM
Seriously, why not Tom Gallagher as RPOF Chair? All bs aside, he has done much more to build the party than any of the newbies. Tom has great management skills and would provide some counterbalance to left leaning Charlie. No one has any questions about Tom's sexual orientation.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:47 PM
"No one has any questions about Tom's sexual orientation."
Awesome!!!
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:49 PM
2:47 You're right (about Gallagher and his orientation). No questions at all. Especially not after the mounting on the hood of that Jaguar in Tallahassee.
Seriously, we can do better than all the perverts, homosexuals, pedophiles and hypocrits the GOP "leadership" seems to be made up with right now.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:49 PM
2:47
can I still be communications director?
Posted by: terminator | February 14, 2008 at 02:50 PM
No questions about his orientation, but the embedded mercedes emblem on his gut says something else.
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:52 PM
2:49
actually it was a gold mercedes.
Posted by: terminator | February 14, 2008 at 02:52 PM
The RPOF has changed the subject.
Is this the strategy ?
Posted by: | February 14, 2008 at 02:54 PM
2:52. Gold Mercedes, red Jaguar, hell it could'a been a purple friggin Yugo. the point is the same, Gallagher aint no saint. And given our governor, and people he surrounds himself with already have enough of their own sexual Identity problems, we don't need to add Tom Gallagher to the mix.
