Rubio won't back down on taxes for Pruitt | Main | Crist forced to skip weekend with McCain »

February 28, 2008

One election night party Crist can't make

Gov. Charlie Crist has been able to party with Sen. John McCain during the last few primaries, but this coming primary, Crist may have to take a pass.

He spent Feb. 5th with McCain in Phoenix celebrating his Super Tuesday victory, after campaigning with McCain a few days. Crist had a trip to Washington to talk about the Everglades, which coincided with the Feb. 12th primaries, meaning he was at McCain's Feb. 12th Potomic victory speech.

But on Tuesday, when McCain is expected to spend election night in Dallas, Crist has got his own plate pretty full with the first day of the legislative session.

that's ok - the time he's typically on tv with mccain he'll be on tv delivering SOS speech - so don't worry, he'll be alright, he'll get his tv time

Well, considering the time he spent preparing his budget, I'm sure he'll find some way to bail out on the first day of session for the state that he so dearly loves and works hard for. Won't surprise me at all to see his sweaty face somewhere on the stage with McCain...

Ya, the first day of the session is going to stop Cristi from butting into the picture of wherever McCain is making his victory speech?

Just take the cut-out Chuck had made to sit behind his Tallytown desk, and send to McAmnesty to set beside him in photo's!

Wow, if he'd kept the State of the State speech in the morning as usual, instead of switching to night, he'd be able to make both events---and the rest of us could go home early too!
Come on, Charley, it's not too late to go back to a noon speech. Then you can head for Texas.

Anything to distract himself from the business of governing and the terrible financial mess we've gotten into (and that he has made worse).

Charlie Crist upon finding out about his schedule conundrum:

"drats, that damn session is starting again and I can't go to the McCain party in Dallas tonight!

why do I have to give a state of the state speech anyway, I don't really give a rat's *ss about Florida, I'm going to be VP.

damn that Marco Rubio. Where's my Marco Rubio doll?" "Here Governor, here's your Rubio doll".

Chuck then precedes to beat the bejeezers out of the Rubio doll much like Greggy on Animal House when he finds out otter had sex with his girlfriend.

"but Cristi has got his own plate pretty full with the first day of the Legislative session."

Is that a joke? When has Cristi ever had his plate full, except for photo ops and bronzing sessions?

Perhaps Governor Crist could give his S.O.S speech via teleconference from Dallas, TX. This would allow him to kill two birds with one stone. He'd be able to continue climbing the political ladder and tend to Florida business. It would be a win win for everyone.

McCain won't pick Charlie as VP.

McCain will go with a true conservative.

The Charlie won't win the renomination in 2010.

One term wonder Charlie.

Well, now we know why Charlie had that empty chair rolling around for his phony commercials to get elected.

Same empty chair, still empty, in his office. Does he know where that is?
