guess it would be too much to ask charlie to be here in florida, working for the people who elected him. im disgusted that i voted for someone who would support juan mcamnesty
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:35 AM
I understand Governors' needing to be involved in presidential elections to some degree, but does CC have NO SHAME???? Truly embarrassing.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:37 AM
Who is paying for the state airplane to travel all over the country with the Gov. and lobbyist....
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:41 AM
Charlie is a great governor, and I'm thinking maybe it's time for him to come back home. Just how much influence does a Fla. gov. regardless of who, have in these other primaries?
We need him back here, especially with session about to start, and the budget/economy the way it is.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:42 AM
charlie hearts juan mcamnesty
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:44 AM
That's not the greatest photo of Warner, btw. I had the chance to spend some time around him a couple years ago, and I could definitely see how he keeps winning. He may be in his 70s, but he absolutely still has "it" (and you know what I mean).
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:44 AM
McAmnesty/Crist a more liberal ticket than Clinton/Obama
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:48 AM
11:48 we know you are doing all of the above posting. You sound very jealous. Crist is a very popular Governor and many of us voted for him. We would love to have our Governor represent us a VP. How could that be bad for Florida. You just sound disgruntled. And for you to speak so poorly of a true war here, one of our soldiers who went and fought for his country, simply because you may not like some of his views, or perhaps the extremeist candidate of your choice is not in the lead, is so very disrespectful and shows your lack of class. McCain is winning because the majority of people are voting for him. Period.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:57 AM
Correction= hero
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 11:58 AM
11:57, you are an idiot. if you know so much why arent you the campaign manager? im sorry, i have the utmost respect for our troops, but just because you were a POW does NOT mean you are the most qualified to lead this country!
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:00 PM
11:57 - This conservative raised money for him, voted for him and REGRET IT!! NEVER AGAIN!!
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:08 PM
11:57 Who's the idiot? I did not say that because one is a war hero that automatically makes them the best for any job. I said you were a disrespectful jerk. You made sophmoric name calling your mantra. And you did it to one of our war heros. You should be ashamed. You can not like his positions, but to speak of him so direspectfully just shows you as the "idiot" . You probably dont like McCain's campaign finance reform measures. Something that is long overdo. I do not care for his policy on the illegal alien issue. But he sure has heard from the American public on that issue. And a soldier who risked his life for your butt as well as everyones elses, should never be disrespected. Disagreed with, sure, but not disrespected.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:14 PM
What "conservatives" are you talking about? I love the way you idiots use these phrases. What kind of conservative are you talking about? The one that wants government to stay the hell out of our lives? Or the one that wants to dictate their moral or religious beliefs on everyone else? The "conservative" who syas one thing and does another? Tapping of the toes come to mind for you? The "conservatives" who spend my tax dollars like it was thiers to do as they please? The "conservative" religious extremeist that thinks only their religious view matters? Which ones are you talking about?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:18 PM
12:18 He can only be referring to the conservatives who want to change the Constitution. You know, the ones who really don't like the principles this country was founded on.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:25 PM
LOOK!!
now johnnie walnuts is giving john warner a sample of gopper-man-love, just like he did with W.
and you say these "guys" are AGAINST 'gay marriage'?
com'on, now!!!
anybody wanna take a steam with me?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:31 PM
you folks seem to be overlooking one IMPORTANT POINT:
the gobernator of florida is essentially powerless, he is one of what, six or seven votes?
just like GEWORGEWCHIMP was in texas
a gobernator with NO authority or power, merely one of several in a multi-headed executive.
want another bozo like GEORGEWCHIMP?
then do support CC for VP!!!!
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:35 PM
Juan McAmnesty: if you picked Cristi you could get a bunch of different voter groups at once: people with fake tans, frequent travellers, liberal Democrats, people who drop it like a rock, people of another persuasion...
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:42 PM
McCain isn't picking CC for VEEP. As soon as the citizens of Florida find out that he's raising school taxes after ushering Amendment 1 through, his poll numbers will drop like a rock.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 12:43 PM
I still love listening to the Crist naysayers. He won't be governor, he won't be able to pass A1, his endorsement doesn't mean anything. How does it feel to always be wrong??
Posted by: UF Student | February 13, 2008 at 12:58 PM
i'm so tired of this idea that no one can criticize a military veteran. i voted for mccain. but he's not right about everything and i am not unpatriotic for thinking so.
calling him "juan mcamnesty" is stupid because it's racist. it has nothing to do with his being a POW. he's running for president; let him be vetted, challenged, spoofed and scrutinized just like any other candidate. when people exercise free speech (i.e. satire), they're taking full advantage of the freedoms he fought for.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:01 PM
1:01: are you drunk right now? None of what you said made any sense? What does calling him juan mcamnesty have to do with him being a pow? why is calling him juan racist? the last time i looked people named Betty weren't running over the border
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:13 PM
this is getting a little old. We all know how incredibly sensitive Charlie is to public opinion. Why isn't he listening to everybody saying he needs to keep himself and the plane in FL. Actually, i'm sure he has an internal poll saying that most Floridians approve of him helping McCain's numbers drop like a rock.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:20 PM
be gentle with 'em, 1.01
ya gotta realize they are in a bit of a snit right now
mittens is gone
huckleberry has no chance
el-rushbo and the rest of the patholgicalliarsforpathologicalliars on the radio and tv are beyond babblilng idiots
its a troubling time for them
the chimp is in free-fall
his lies are so profoundly evident that only the most ardent 'truebelievers' can accomodate them with out going insane themselves
it is difficult for them to realize that they have been played for patisies since the 2000 election and that frankly NO ONE cares
they are only striking out in fear, anger and pain
dont expect them to make a slightest bit of sense
no, NONE AT ALL!!!

Charlie backs those idiots in Hernando County, so this doesn't surprise me either. He rode in there on a John Deere Tractor (is he really that desperate, he needs to stoop this low?). What a horrible person we have in office as Governor. He has no shame, nor is he working for us, the people of the State of Florida.

Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:27 PM
WHAT; CHUCK ISN’T IN THE OFFICE?!!!! I’M SHOCKED TO TEARS!
What’s next, nominating Juan McAmnesty to run for President of what’s left of the United States of America?… oh, never mind.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:27 PM
Wouldn't Charlie have to pay state income tax in all those states he's working? Professional athletes do.
Perhaps we should take up a collection for violin bow rosin. Charlie's fiddlin' as Florida burns.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:38 PM
1:38: Why are you complaining about Chaingang Charlie? Haven't your property insurance rates dropped like a rock?
Oh ya...
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:44 PM
1:01 It is just pure disrespect to to to anhyone and the idiot children on this blog that post do it all the time. They treay women like c r a p , and constantly make any real discussion on these blogs useless garbage. I do believe, whether you are tired of it or not, that no veteran, especially a pow, should be treated with childish disrespect. If you are tired of respecting those who risk their lives for us, then that is your right. Not mine. I did not say that just because one is a Vet, soldier or a POW, that you cannot disagree with their views. I said and most seriously mean, they deserve our respect. If you don't like that, what can I say?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:48 PM
“Chaingang Charlie” has transformed into “Chainreaction Chuck”… and it’s all bad. The only thing dropping like a rock is our economy, our housing market, our education, our potential… and my respect for “The People’s Mistake”.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:48 PM
We love you Governor. Just keep doing the right thing. It seems to make some people crazy.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:49 PM
1:48 Are you trying to blame the Housing market and the slumped economy on this Governor? Are you kidding?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:50 PM
I thought this thread was about our youthful governor on stage with two men in their 70's. (I thought CC was on McCain’s travel dime, not the FL Taxpayer? – Humor/LOL)
Is CC still in DC? If he shows up on Capitol Hill then will he be able to “write off” the trip as a Florida business expense?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:53 PM
Can he not miss a photo op or what---He could care less about the everglades bill, he just wanted to be up there so he could stand next to mccain. He has no shame, just wants to be on the stage next to mccain. Get back to work charlie, everyone in D.C. knows your not on the short list. You will definally have a chip to cash in if Mccain wins, but not the VP spot
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:56 PM
Charlie Christ is the BIGGEST idiot in Florida. These tax cuts are going to hurt us. I wish Jeb was still our Governor, things will be a LOT better. Trust me. He hangs around with John McCain and is not doing that much in Florida. What the hell is society coming to? I get elected into office to party down.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 01:58 PM
for all of you Crist supporters out there, it should give you pause this guy is NEVER on the job in Florida.
I don't care if you love him or hate him, he is committing political malpractice.
The guy is being paid by the taxpayers of the state of Florida to manage our affairs but misses more days for political campaigning than he actually spends in the Gov's office in Tally.
How is Cristi getting a free pass on this?
If Jeb or Lawton or Graham or any other Governor would have done these things they'd be getting blistered from all fronts.
Do you people not care you have a NO-SHOW Governor?
Do you not care Chuck is throwing your tax dollars down the drain?
Will you guys give me a $120K job working for state government where I don't have to show up?
Posted by: terminator | February 13, 2008 at 01:59 PM
OMG, i can feel my brain cells slowly dying the more i read this blog - bunch of numbskulls with opinions and keyboards
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:02 PM
1:59 Have you looked at the things Jeb did when he was Governor? His friends did very well with our money. Now he gets his payback. I do not hear him taking any real pain for the things he has done. So don't go blasting Charlie for helping McCain. Nothing criminal there. You show that you were Gallagher supporter and you cannot change our minds on supporting this governor. He has been a breath of fresh air. Of course he is going to politic, they all do. He still has the support of most people and it just makes you green. It shows
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:13 PM
2:02 What stimulating discussion have you added to the blogs?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:14 PM
If CC is still on Capitol Hill, maybe the babseball investigators can corner him and set him up for perjury by asking: Do you bat for the other team?
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:14 PM
Charlie Crist Fact Sheet:
1. Allowed expansion of gambling
2. Not fighting to protect traditional marriages(via the proposed amendment)
3. Failed in solving insurance crisis
4. Failed in getting a meaningful property tax cut
He won't be the VP nominee for McCain and he will have a primary challenger when he runs for reelection.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:14 PM
2:02 Be careful when you have two brain cells, one is a terrible thing to lose
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:15 PM
2:14 the people voted for the gambling in existing gambling facilities. Charlie supported the people.
The traditional marriage amendment sucks and it goes against the Republican philosophy of less government in our lives. Kudos to Charlie for being a real Goldwater Republican and staying the hell out of our private lives. Half of the legislators who call themeslves the Family value candidates are the ones soliciting same sex with complete strangers in mens rooms. Sure I want these liars and hypocrites to dictate my personal life choices.
Insuarance crisis. You mean the one the legislature helped to create with that lousy insurance bill? You blame the Governor for that? Ha you fool. How much money has the insurance ndustry given to the conservative senate lesderships 527's and campaigns?
Prpperty tax cut? You mean the amendment that passed? You are obviously some young Kool aid gulper.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:22 PM
I thank God Jeb is no longer in office.

Want some straight talk? You cannot get that from either Juan McAmnesty or Charlie Crist just for different reasons.
Posted by: Dee | February 13, 2008 at 02:35 PM
I will not vote for anyone who sees as a good pick for VP… a lying, over-tanned, corporate puppet who knows not where his office is and thinks $240 is a job well done.
McAmnesty/McFraud 08! … NOT!
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:35 PM
People, people, people. WE want Crist to be picked as a VP for two reasons.
1. We get rid of him.
2. the VP has no power.
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:40 PM
ya gotta LOVE the GOPPERS with their 'buyers' remorse' not just over CC, but fattie and even his drunken brother, as they look towards OBLITERATION IN NOVEMBER!!
couldnt happen to 'nicer' piles of feces, no, not at all!!
Posted by: | February 13, 2008 at 02:47 PM
Charlie needs to get his &%$ back in this State and start minding his OWN store!
Posted by: Holly | February 13, 2008 at 03:00 PM
3:00 Did n't hear you screaming when Jeb stuck his nose in everything outside the Governors office. You guys really show your envy. Too bad the people, not you the TG supporters,
the Kool Aid gulping special interest/extremeist toe tapping types, love this governor. We do not care what you have to say. Your have turned ten shades of green. He still has a great support base who loves him. Guess you just cant handle that.
