Crist doesn't like 'clean hands'
Earlier today, the Buzz asked Gov. Charlie Crist for his thoughts on a bill to automatically compensate the wrongfully convicted, but only if they do not have a prior felony.
"I don't know," he said of the "clean hands" clause.
That sounded like a dodge.
But Crist said he would look into the issue and get back to us. This afternoon, he did. In a voice message, the governor signaled he was not a fan of the provision. "I believe in forgiveness. I think they should have the opportunity for a second chance."

CC was thinking, I get more photo-ops by pandering... if this were automatic, I wouldn't have that opportunity.

We're in a budget crunch, slashing education and health care and want to automatically pay the wrongfully convicted? No freaking way!!

Claims bill lobbyists generally do not handle wrongful incarceration, which is a different although similar issue.

As usual, his normal answer "I don't know. Let me get back to you." So he can go find someone to give him the best answer. Grow some Charlie.

OF COURSE his answer was "I don't kniw"
It's his answer to EVERYTHING if he gets asked soemthing with out his political handlers filtering it first!
One would hope that if he had to ask such questions to his staff, it would at least be policy, but I doubt he even talks to them given the crap that comes out of his mouth sometimes.
