Nelson's VP Prospects sinking?
If we had a Bill Nelson Veep-O-Meter the needle this week would be dropping far away from him getting a vice presidential nod after his mail-in-primary plan was so roundly torpedoed. Give Nelson credit for stepping up with something concrete, but if he can't convince a single member of the Democratic congressional delegation to back his plan should a candidate expect he can carry the state for a candidate.
While Florida's primary remains stuck in debacle mode, Michigan Democrats look more and more likely to conduct a do-over.

Did anyone seriously think Nelson would be the VP candidate?
No Democrat is going to pick a Senator from a state with a GOP governor because that guv will then replace him or her with a Republican.
The only exception is if that Senator brought some serious electoral advantage, but there is no polling showing that Nelson would necessarily win Florida if he were on the ticket.

i can't think of a worse candidate. However, he is the ONLY democrat across the board to offer a solution. And isn't that one of the key princples of leadership? It you aren't part of the solution you are part of the problem.

Leave it to Florida to be the laughingstock of the world again. They shouldn't even let Florida vote in any presidential elections evermore!!!

evermore?

Sorry, I got creative. I couldn't use "ever again" since I had used 'again" in the first sentence.

Nelson won't be VP because only Hillary would pick him, and she certainly isn't going to win.

Nelson's VP prospects fading? How can something fade if it never shined in the first place?

And another! Thank you Bill Nelson. I remember when you would not give money to dems for a mailer, you said "I gave the party 250,000 and I gave you Karen Thurman" We kept thanking you for this failed leadership, and now the whole United States KNOWS, you can NEVER be VP! You're done! Finally!
Thurman:" Crist Is A Dem"

Voting by mail is against state law, so maybe why they are turning it over to a "private" company? Is that way it costs more at 10-12 mill? Isn't putting postage on the ballot envelopes illegal? Buddy Dyer lost his case when he wanted postage on the return envelopes. Is the party ready for lawsuits? The will of the people and the leadership around the state says no "do over".
So two out of three did not make you the winner, now you want to go four out of five? Geez I would not even play cards with these guys!

If Nelson and the Dem's can't count the votes, how can we count on them to end the war....

Indicted Chicago businessman Antoin "Tony" Rezko was a more significant fundraiser for presidential candidate Barack Obama's earlier political campaigns than previously known. Rezko raised as much as $250,000 for the first three offices Obama sought, the senator told the Tribune on Friday.

On the contrary, the more the Democratic party urinates on Florida's Democratic voters the more the Democratic candidate is going to need a reason for Florida voters to come out and vote Democratic.
Nelson was right on the vote voiding from the beginning, calling it just downright wrong.
The question should be whether Nelson could stomach supporting presidential candidates who shunned Florida Democrats and endorsed their disenfranchisement at the hands of a political party committee.
I means...as the old saying has it, "You can't stand next to the outhouse and have people say you smell pretty."

What if Nelson, Warren Christopher, Bill McCollum and the guy who runs North Korea were walking down a city street together?
Would you panic, assuming we'd been invaded by space aliens?

Recalling a conversation had with the Senator in 2006 just 6 weeks before election day in 2006 at a large well attended union sponsored rally in Marion county that the public should be aware of.
The Senator with $16 Million Dollars in the bank was approached by this writer, David Bruderly Congressional candidate in CD 6 Democratic activist Beverley Wiskow and several other "Good Democrats" and asked about assisting Democrats challenging Republican incumbent U.S. Representatives.
Nelson's response, "Statewide Television advertising costs $One Million Dollars per week and he could not afford to assist any fellow Dems seeking to unseat Republicans."
Being polite I refrained from commenting, however then as I can now, I performed a quick cipher in my head and arrived at the following simple equation... Hmmm
Here's the lesson Senator:$16 MILLION DOLLARS minus SIX weeks times $1,000,000 DOLLARS roughly works out to $10(TEN)MILLION BUCKs left over...
To be cont'd

What's the difference when the candidates are ALL cut from the same corporate cloth...
We can thank Bill for Karen Thurman (who gave us this purposefully engineered debacle of a presidential primary)among other things.
Reference Chuck Todd's comment last week or Karen's own words as she impeaches herself inadvertantly ... taking responsibility for this primary vote that just don't count.
(See YOUTUBE links posted elsewhere on this blog)
Thanks for your judgement and "leadership" Bill... You gave us Karen. Your voting record speaks volumes about your priorities which are principally limited to what's Best for Bill... Right? No need to answer that...
Change... it is a com'n there Bill and yer deep southern drawl ain't gonna save ya... There's more, but I'll save it ... One more piece 2 go... jr, Dade City

Reference Daryle Rousson switch'n parties again to "BLOCK Rev. McKenzie in Dist 55 St. Pete...
Rousson you'll recall nearly lost his water when he met GW Bush on the runway in St. Pete in 2004; What a piece of work!
Just the most recent example of a practice that's so common that the voters can't tell the difference between Dems and Repubs w/o a scorecard...
Bottom line on the parties is...The line has been purposefully "blurred" to confuse the voters as to just what IS a Democrat vs What IS a Republican. JR D city

So just which one is Bud Abbott and which one is Lou Costello... Between Thurman and Nelson? Who cares they're both interchangeable. They are both to blame for this debacle and the St. Pete Times Adam should print The WHOLE STORY rather than be deceptive in failing to note that the PAPER BALLOT measure was on the election bill as well as the pushing of the message that Democrats votes would not count in order to depress the Dem vote to increase the likelihood of passage of amendment one tax initiative. Notwithstanding the "public silence" of Chairwoman Thurman on the measure all the while pushing the measure privately among Democratic County Committees. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORQZ6iZw1DU
