Rove snubbing Crist?

Karlrove_2 Watching Karl Rove on Fox News last night we couldn't help but recall how Charlie Crist and George LeMieux snubbed W in the Panhandle days before the '06 election. Asked about potential running mates for John McCain, Rove somehow left Crist off his list of prospects that included Tim Pawlenty of Minnesota, Mark Sanford of South Carolina, Richard Burr in North Carolina, Sonny Perdue in Georgia.

He said he hears lots of Buzz about Mitt Romney. Where, you ask? " I was in Florida, southwestern Florida on Friday night. I heard it there,'' said Rove of Romney.

I LOVE IT!!

It's going to be Pawlenty...book it.

It's not a snub as much as it is a polical reality. Crist's talk about being VP is mostly churned up by the media in FL. He's popular but not who McCain will pick. Stop going for the celebrity politicians people or the "he needs FL" or he needs "X, Y or Z" Remember Bush picking Cheney? Wyoming...wow, 3 electoral votes. I'm always amazed about the simplicity of thought that people apply to this process. No one votes for VP. It's first do no harm. He'll pick someone whom he feels can take over if his age catches up with him within the next 4 years. Oh, and it will be a cold day in hell before he picks Romney.

Rove symbolizes everything that's wrong with politics in the US. Both parties should loathe him.

miss piggy and CC in a cat fight!

rowrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

cant you just see the girlygirlybitchslaps those two would be taking at each other??

rowrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!

"Remember Bush picking Cheney? Wyoming...wow, 3 electoral votes"

didnt happen that way.

god only knows what pictures or documents the heartlesslizard had on the chimp, but clearly the heartlesslizard TOLD the chimp to pick him or they would become public!!

the rest is TRAGIC history!!

You are a certified WACKJOB!!!

Crist's snub was better than this one

karl rove should be in jail

With a 72 year old presidential candidate, the selection of the veep candidate is of particular importance.

McCain may believe he's going to be alive and lively for eight years, but there is no guaranty that nature will agree.

McCain has got Florida locked up with the Democratic candidates shunning and agreeing with our disenfranchisement. It just isn't going to be possible for Barack or Hillary to credibly come back into the state and say they care one bit about us.

However, if McCain fills his ticket by picking a right winger for veep then all the independents and disaffected Dems McCain owns today will rethink.

The reality is that whether Karl Rove should be in jail or not, him leaving cristi out of the conversation should tell everyone something. Florida and a few of cristi's buddies are the ones praising him as a possible vp. It won't happen. Ever. The more he opens his mouth and speaks nationally, the rest of the nation is going to realize what an idiot we have as governor. And then they will realize that if we can't do any better down here than give 70% popularity to such an idiot, that it really doesn't matter if our votes are counted or not.

Did every one see that South Carolina Democratic Party Chair Carol Fowler endorsed Barack Obama.

Wasn't she the one who was pushing to block the Michigan and Florida results?

2:11

I recall BOTH Democratic campaings pushing the Florida issue

Rove is such a pathetic child. He and his sandbox buddy Dubya have really screwed us up.

God help us all.

2:29 = bushderangementmove.orgdemocrat.

Rove "the architect" is a political genius.

The last thing John McCain needs is a liberal VP.

If McCain picked Crist, millions of Republicans would stay home for sure.

McCain will pick a true conservative and try to win over the right wingers.

Crist, if he is lucky, might get to be Attorney General.

Or Director of FEMA is more likely.

A little history please. I believe VP Cheney, who was the head of the search committee for George's VP, recommended himself for the job-and the rest is history-not good history, but history never-the-less.

2:31 = bushminionlemmingmoveout.org republicon.

This closet public bathroom toe-tapper Rove needs to be in jail.

Adam Smith watches Fox News???? No way! I'd have never guessed!

Crist might get the new cabinet position as Secretary of Gay & Lesbian Global Relations!

FOXNEWS is number 1 rated. Of course Adam watches it.

The fact that Rove mentioned Romney as a VP shows how clueless he is. Deal with it the Bush era is O-v-e-r!

Guess what 7:28.....

The Florida Federated Republican Women had their annual Board of Directors meeting in Tallahassee the past 3 days.

They held a straw poll of 17 potential candidates for VEEP 2008 and Romney won the straw poll.

Haley Barbour who had half as many votes came in second then Condoleeza Rice and then Gov. Bobby Jindal.

Rove is right about what he heard.

"A little history please. I believe VP Cheney, who was the head of the search committee for George's VP, recommended himself for the job-and the rest is history-not good history, but history never-the-less."

indeed!

of course, the search was over the moment cheney showed w and his family whatever photos, documents, videotapes or what it was he had on w and the deal was done!!!!

"george, these all show you drunk, drugging and everything else from prepschool through when you dodged the draft and went awol back in the vietnam era, up to whatever you did yesterday. PICK ME, or they become public at noon today!"

"yes, mister vice-presidnet!"

history, tragichistory!!

I'm a Democrat now, but Charlie, I've got to admit that your snub of Bush was a classic. You saw the writing on the wall before most. With more like you, there may be hope for Republicans yet.

The Architect knows that a gay VP candidate won't fly with the conservative base. McCain has his own problems with them. Sorry, but having Cristi on the ticket won't get the evangelicals to come out and vote.

yes, miss piggy knows all things 'gay', doesnt s/he?
