Abortion vote delayed
Another day, another delay on outgoing Majority leader Sen. Dan Webster's abortion bill. The bill (SB 2400) was on the Senate's Special Order but Webster put it off for a second time.
"Maybe tomorrow," he said. Why the stall?
He said he's enjoying this "day of joy," in which both chambers gave him standing ovations for his many years of legislative work. The House also dedicate a large room in the Capitol's Knott building in his name.

So, Webster didn't want to interrupt his "day of joy" with a defeat on the Senate floor? Surprise, surprise!

Will Jeff Atwater cut and run from this vote? The talk is that he will leave the floor during the vote so he doesn't have to go on the record.

No way.
Jeff Atwater is a Catholic and won the Faith and Family award from the Christian Coalition in 2006. Why would he walk? He will support the Republican Majority leader as he's supposed to.

Atwater walked on the evolution bill. According to the Miami Herald, he was on the floor and quickly rushed off as they were going on the board.
No one disputes that Atwater supports the abortion bill. But his district does not.
I would still put my money on Atwater hearing Skip's footsteps and walking on this bill.

Senator Atwater needs to do the right thing; he needs to hold to his convictions and he will be respected for that. This is informed consent on a serious medical procedure.

Skip Campbell will not beat Jeff Atwater if he does the right thing.
IE support Webster's S2400. This is a Freedom of Information bill on a serious medical procedure. Only a selfish self-centerd man would deny a woman this knowledge.
