Buddy Johnson's tax troubles
These are taxing times for Hillsborough Elections Supervisor and former state Rep. Buddy Johnson. He has not paid the taxes due on land and two homes he bought for $1.27-million, and he also owes back taxes on a third home and another lot he sold last year.
Johnson is delinquent on a $1,682 property tax bill on a tract he purchased last year off Thonotosassa Road in Plant City. He is delinquent on a $7,338 tax bill on a luxury penthouse condo he bought in Sarasota 16 months ago. More here.

For God’s sake, take it out of his pay and jail this boob… the IRS would do that to any average Joe. Why should these criminals get away with it.
Are you sure this cat doesn’t live in Pinellas?

This guy didn't do anything illegal...he is just going to have to pay more money in "late fees" to square on his tax bills.
He is suffering from a severe case of "dumbass" for getting himself in financial jam buying all the real estate he loaded up on.

The only story here is that this time it's a government bureaucrat that's getting screwed by high taxes. We all pay too much property tax. CUT PROPERTY TAXES NOW!

The only story here is that it's another government bureaucrat that's been caught trying to play the system.
PUT HIM IN JAIL NOW!

Mr Johnson is an elected official. More importantly, he is a FLORIDA elected official. That means compliance with the law only if it's convenient and doesn't cost him any money. And it also means that all the other FLORIDA elected officials are expected to help him out. Wait for the next part of the deal where he is granted the agricultural break on his taxes. Barf!

Fort Bully - Ha Ha Ha. Now that's funny. Buddy "Bully" Johnson wants an ag exemption. If the Property Appraiser grants it, then the whole world will know about the good ole boy insider dealing corruption going on.
Word off the street is that after Buddy went to Tallahassee, he got "light in the loafers."

When is the auction planned for his properties?

Buddy should be tax exempt for everything he has done for us. All he needed to do was put a few cows on the acreage and a hen house on the patio/balcony of the Sarasota condo. That should be enough to qualify for farmland zoning.

4:16...yea, and rent the Sarasota condo to me for $20/yr. It's gulf front isn't it?

Buddy is and always has been a complete idiot. How he could get elected dog-catcher is a mystery.

Sort of easy solution: kick Buddy out of the SOE office in November!
Go Phyllis!

Republicans for Busanski! Not because she's anything great, but for crying out loud, we (Republicans) should expect better. Why isn't the local party leadership calling for this loser's a**?
