Dems slamming Feeney

Header_feeney_3   The Florida Democratic party has taken out online ads with Roll Call, Florida Today, the Fort Report, and BrevardCountyMoms.com (The Daytona Beach New Journal refused it) depicting Tom Feeney as corrupt.

"For a full year now, Tom Feeney has refused to come clean with Floridians about his unsavory relationship with a convicted felon, Jack Abramoff. The fact is that Feeney went on a lavish golfing trip to Europe paid for by this super-lobbyist instead of doing his job for the people of Florida," said Mark Bubriski, spokesman for the Florida Democratic party, which has taken out online ads in .  "The odds that 2008 ends up being Tom Feeney's last year in Congress, whether because of electoral defeat or legal recourse, increase with every passing day."

Lets include the Grover Norquist-Abramoff-Haridopolis connection as well.

The only thing good about Fenney is that he looked good when compared to Byrd.

Another idiot Voters put in office! When will people stop voting for the popular, rich or even along party lines. It won't be long before VOTERS will need to pass the test before they doom us all!!

And now we ALL know why there is gift ban legislation on-going. Where are the lobbyists defending the actions of Jack Abramhoff on this posting? They were all up-in-arms on the gift ban thread. Oh, let me guess. They'll start posting inane stuff like, "Well don't let one bad apple shouldn't spoil the whole barrel". It really is indefensable!

2:06 - it's funny that you can come up with what you think the other side of the argument will say re: gift ban - but not once on any thread where you decry lobbyists have you presented an alternative to lobbyists that is constitutional (in other words, that still allows people to freely speak, associate, and petition their government)

so in my book, you are just a blowhard with a sad little mind

2:22. How about this. Maybe, write your congressman let the rest of the public has to? Or doesn't that carry enough clout when there is no check enclosed?
No since you decide to take little kid hacks at me, why is it that you haven't been able to answer the question I posed on the other thread about why corps should have more influence then the voting population? Your lack of an answer speaks volumes in my book.

Tom is a great guy. He's a very committed and articulate conservative (not many of those around these days). He's going to have a tough fight this year but I think he'll pull it out. Ms. Kosmas has a liberal legislative record that is out of touch with the mainstream of that district.

2:40 - the answer is simple, and another poster actually laid out the argument that voters DO have more influence because they can place or remove elected officials, corporations cannot

it happens all the time, lawmakers either voted out at election time, or thrown in jail - probably more than should happen - but the system works

oh and while i'm here - harrell's farewell speech: me me me me me me oh and remember this time when me me me me me

Yes 2:40, we can vote them out after they've been in the pocket of corp lobbyists for 4 years, but with the lobbyists pooling checks to their campaigns for reelection, I feel that carries more weight during their term then doing what is right for the people. Look at the CSX boondoggle! Do you honestly think this bill would stand a chance if it weren't for lobbyists? Going by the posts I've read about CSX, a snowball would stand a better chance in hell then that deal being passed. So don't deny that lobbyists do not have influence over govt decisions that in no way benefit the masses.

I guess there was a lil bit of legislative down time around quarter after three today..

Hey Tom, they're just bitter. What's our tee time? Don't worry about mixing up who paid for your golfing trip with Abramoff? The FBI talks to a LOT of people so don't get nervous because they're talking to you. You're doing hard work. Hard, hard work. People need to recognize this and let you do he hard work of accepting gifts from rich lobbyists as you figure out how to how to be the best advocate you can be for you, I mean, the people of Florida.

Hit 'em long, dude.

Feeney is THE Most Corrupt member of Congress!
