'I believe' killed twice

Ibelieveplate1Despite a good debate, the Florida Senate killed Sen. Ronda Storm's "I believe" license plate for the second time in less than one week.

Comments

You people better hope Sen. Storms doesn't have God punish you for this.

Rhona:

Remember what Mama Gump said, "Stupid is as stupid does."

Who is "Rhona"?

Survival of the the fittest Ronda, sorry about that.

And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee...

Praise the Lord!

Hey 4:55 - "as you do to the least of me you do to me" - $700 million to CSX, $265 million to Rubio's friend, millions and millions to Senators with property where toll roads and railroads are to go.

Cuts to programs to adopt foster kids, cuts to nursing home inpections, cuts to the programs for the severly mentally and physically handicapped, cuts to programs for the elderly, cuts to education.

Yes, someone certainly should be concerned about the Lord's vengeance - mostly religious Repiglicans.

correction - "least of them"

Yay! Another one of her "shove Jesus down everyone's throats" ideas killed. Woohoo!

Paula Dockery, you're anti-american and a democrat, get off the blog.

I'm not anti-american, but I am a DEMOCRAT!

Ronda Ronda Ronda - you get nothing, which is exactly what you deserve. Now sit down, grab your shawl, keep quiet, and stop making everyone vote on this again and again!

Now how will we know who loves Jesus? Why does the Legislature hate Jesus?

time for the intolerant anti-Christian crowd to celebrate.

Looking forward to seeing more "my boss is a Jewish carpenter" etc. bumber stickers now.

5:45

Because they don't like preference of one religion.

Something about somehtign some old dead guy said went by the name of Madison I think he was

People like Rhonda Storms, who wear religion on their sleeve and cram it down the throats of others, are the ones you have to watch because they are the first to stab you in the back....all in the name of religion, of course.

Can I have a license plate that says, "I'm not the Messiah...so stop following so close."?

I want a "liberals suck" license plate.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

To some who were confident of their own righteousness and looked down on everybody else, Jesus told this parable: "Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood up and prayed about himself: 'God, I thank you that I am not like other men—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.' But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, 'God, have mercy on me, a sinner.' I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted."

(Luke 18:9-14)

Somehow, I think Storms' public religiosity, boneheaded anti-evolution bill and this stupid "I Believe" state license plate are good examples of the self-righteous exalting themselves. They should actually be ashamed of themselves.

BELIEVE IN WHAT, YOU WORTHLESS TWIT??!!??

THAT ONLY CHRISTIANS ARE BELIEVERS, BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOUR DESIGN SHOWS...NO PLACE FOR JEWS, NO PLACE FOR MUSLIMS, NO PLACE FOR ANYONE BUT THE IGNORANT DUMDAMBENTALISTS WHO SUPPORT YOU!!!!

I SAY AGAIN, WORTHLESS TWIT!!

Rhonda, if I HAVE to prove my love of Jesus to the masses, I'm certainly not going to do it by purchasing a crappy license plate! Why don't you just mail everybody in your district "Jesus..." bumper stickers? I also fail to see how this proposal of yours is going to lower property taxes and insurance costs. Maybe you should try introducing a bill that will save us in this lifetime. I'll worry about my love for Jesus myself - you worry about governance!
