Kosmas raises another $300k

Former state Rep. Suzanne Kosmas, one of the candidates national Democrats are most excited about in Florida, reports raising more than $300,000 in the last quarter and has more than $550,000 in the bank for her campaign against U.S. Rep. Tom Feeney. We haven't seen his latest numbers, but he had $455,000 on hand at the start of the year.

"I am extremely humbled by the outpouring of support I have received from Floridians who are ready for change in Washington," said Kosmas.  "People are joining our campaign because they want a representative who is in line with their priorities and who can find common-sense, effective solutions to the challenges we face."

so....did she cry while making that statement?....

Go get em, Suzanne!

Surprise, surprise ... Emily's list and other liberal groups are pouring donations into the account of one of the most liberal social policy extremists in our state. I wouldn't worry about Congressman Feeney - he is right on the mark with his policy agenda, and his constituents (the ones that vote .. Not the organized bulk check givers like Kosmas has) will re-elect him as they have done for almost two decades.

Is giving a friggin Hooters waitress with no college degree a $70K a year job, like Feeney did when he was Speaker, a "conservative" policy agenda?

Give 'im hell, Suzanne!

The power of the purse, also know as Alex Sink.

Liberal, social, policy extremist?

That sounds scarry, whatever it means.

I guess Feeney is pretty scared if his supporters post moronic attacks like that.

She's got to get by Clint Curtis first...that isn't going to be easy. No one knows Suzanne Kosmas....no one.

"No one knows Suzanne Kosmas" Are you kidding me? Who did she get those checks from then? Democrats are stepping up and raising money to win seats. Republican should be worried. Democrats are not the poor party anymore.

Charles- No one knows Clint Curtis, no one. Kosmas wins that primary 2:1.

Representative Feeney has a terribly negative voting record in Congress. He votes only for things which the Bush Administration tells its lackies to vote FOR. As i've followed his voting record for the past three years, he votes "Yes" only about 4 times per year, and that is usually only for bills which his local constituents and PACs insiste he support. It seems to me that the BUSH ADMINISTRATION owns Tom Feeney's soul.

His real opponent, the one who will defeat him this time is a progressive and independent Democratic candidate:
CLINT CURTIS, whom I support strongly as I did when he first ran. CLINT CURTIS knows how Feeney operates and the manipulations of which Feeney is capable with vote-flipping software. Read about CLINT CURTIS anywhere, and you'll see he will be the winner in November 2008. He will represent us in Congressional District 24 very well and honestly.
