Nelson: 8-point Hillary win is "blowout"
On Morning Joe, Bill Nelson said the DNC has "slapped Florida around enough now" and responded to whether Hillary Clinton should consider dropping out if Barack Obama gets within 5 points in today's PA primary.
NELSON: "There will be pressure for her to do that. But if her win is 8 to 10 points, it's a blowout. And she's going to have new life."

I just love these guys. They are ripping themselves apart and allowing McCain to coast to an easy win when any generic Dem should be winning in a blowout.

Nonsense!, if hillary doesn't win by double digits, i.e. in excess of 15 points like the polls had shown her up by in this state where she has family origins and favor her demographically and where her husband won and where the Clintons have been know for decades, it will be a major loss for her. Not only will she not be able to compete for delegates, but it shows that even among democrats that should easily favor her she has a problem. Hillary should drop out if she doesn't win by at least +15

As poor a candidate as Hillary is, Obama should be kicking her teeth in...he's not closing the deal, which speaks extremely poorly of his own candidacy.
I never fathomed 6 months ago that John McCain would be the next President, but it is looking more and more that way everyday.
I mean seriously...John McCain?

"... But if her win is 8 to 10 points, it's a blowout."
Look like Bill has been watching to many St. Pete races.
"A 70% landslide victory"... with only 38 people showing up at the polls.

McSame = Baaaaaad.

1:43/1:44: sure, Hill should drop out, but she won't and you know it...Hill will fight and scratch right up to the convention in late August

There is nothing good about Hillary...
Don't know a lot about Obama, but I know that he's a socialist.
Capitalism built this country, socialism will tear it down.

Don't know a lot about Obama, so I can't say that he's a socialist.
Capitalism built this country, Dubya and his death for profit gang have torn it down.

3:16 I don't believe our country will ever be socialist, but I sure hope the DEMs will work on ending the socialist-capitalist nanny state corporate welfare we've been practicing since Reagan.

What about the socialist-communist nanny state welfare we've been practicing since Franklin Roosevelt?
Posted by: | April 22, 2008 at 04:11 PM
I had a "socialist-communist nanny" when I was growing up... she changed my diaper until I was 18 years old.

4:11 I think it was called helping actual live people and not heartless profiteering corporations. We traded it in for the corporate welfare under Reagan and people have been suffering ever since. Not that I think you care one little bit.

Help should come from charity, not the government.
Reaching into one's pockets to help his fellow man is praiseworthy and laudable.
Reaching into another's pockets is despicable and worthy of condemnation.

Help should come from charity, not the government.
Tell that to Halliburton and CSX!
Reaching into one's pockets to help his fellow man is praiseworthy and laudable.
Tell that to the taxpayers funding Halliburton and CSX!
Reaching into another's pockets is despicable and worthy of condemnation.
So, you understand how our government works then?

I bet some of the corporate executive at Bear Sterns felt the same way as 4:46 until it became something that actually affected "their" personal lives. The hipocrisy of that position is always something to laugh at. The elite, well to-do that have benefitted from corporate welfare decry how the "government shouldn't help people as they need to it for themselves"..until their retirement funds are affected and then you see them begging for the government "bailout" that will increase government buyout subsidies of their failed corporations from $2 a share to $10 a share.

Yes i understand that many in government want to take things away from one person or party and give to another.
In the case of Halliburton or CSX, the money that is allotted to them is to provide a service. For instance, Halliburton provides food, security, etc for our folks in Iraq (i am guessing that is what you are referring to). Are they over-charging for things? probably, but they are a one-stop shop for many of the things and services that are needed...so they are PROVIDING something in return...it just might not always be a good deal.
On the other hand, what is the average poor person providing in return for the welfare check she is receiving every month?
Look, i am not a fan of subsidies, period. I think they all should end. But i would at least rather my tax money be spent on something that provides a return on my investment, than on something that is nothing more than a handout.

The margin does not matter unless she gets to 20%. That's the only way to pick up significant delegates.
Hillary and Bill have an addiction to the political process - rallies, debates, attacking, lying, pandering. They love it, and won't give it up even though it's not possible she can get more delegates than Obama.
Poor guy, he's running against sociopaths.

Dear Queen Hillary:
Go away now little girl, your time is up. We dont need your pompous overbearing cackling voice running us right into oblivion just to suit your self-serving needs. You have fooled lots of people, but you can't fool us ALL. Go away little girl....your time is up.

News last night said that even if she won by 10 points, she would need to win the remaining states by 58 percent to pull it off...

Bill Nelson is mathmatically challenged! 8 does not equal 18. I guess he picked up the bad math habit when he was Insurance Commish, and it just carried over. Bill Nelson voted for amnesty as well as signing a petition to silence a citizen of this country. He wants to open the doors to illegals, but doesn't want the citizens to say anything derrogatory about his party. How does he represent the interests of this state?
