Senate poised to ban bull 'glands'

The Senate on Thursday  kept a provision in a transportation bill that would make it illegal to hang bull "reproductive glands," from cars. The bill makes it a moving violation, meaning people could get a ticket and points on their license for it. There's no companion measure in the House. The Times wrote about this fad in 2005 — read the story here.

Sen. Jim King tried to delete the provision on Wednesday and Thursday after confessing that he had a pair hanging in his suburban.

"At what point do you say, big brother or big government are stepping in areas they shouldn't," King said.

STOP DIVERTING ATTENTION AWAY FROM YOUR LIES AND FAILURES, AND FIX PROPERTY INSURANCE LIKE YOU PROMISED… NOW!

… besides, mine do not represent a set of bull stones… they represent the need for more tax dollars to support the FGHOAF (Fallen Geriatric Hooters of America Foundation).

1/2 the world has them. get use to it.

Glad to read we are still addressing the real important issues...

baggy pants, hanging bull balls, state song, slavery apology, etc.

What a pathetic waste of government. Tell me again WHY do we need these idiots in Tallahassee?

face it people - the only people who actually display these things are stupid white trash rednecks.

face it people - the only people who actually oppose these things are those who wish they had a set.

I here a study is about to be release showing how these things cause accidents. Apparently, the pickle-ticklers in the homertesticle community can’t keep their eyes off them and end up running into the back to these trucks…

"the only people who actually display these things are stupid white trash rednecks" who use oversized ornamental genitalia to compensate for their own lack thereof.

The only people who actually oppose these things are members of the Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato Group who want to use these things to dip in their tea!

What an outstanding irony that a bunch of dicks are trying to legislate this.

Well, they passed the guns to work law - I guess this was the tradeoff.

Now Billy Bob - if we let ya'll pack a piece in your 4X4, will ya'll please take them stoopid thangs off'n the trailer hitch???

"1/2 the world has them"

1/2 the world are inbred redneck trailer trash hillbillies

"1/2 the world has them"

the other 1/2, including a few meat-whistle players, want to bag 'em!

A real man doesn't have to "display" them to know they have em'..... HA!

Its tasteless and adolescent like many people.Boys like Jim King are probably trying to compensate for an inadequecy.Let them hang so we know who the pathetic are.

A real man doesn't have to "display" them to know they have em'..... HA!

You're right, Melissa... they'd just have to look past the top of your head!

Count me as one who will be glad to see them go.

Mimi = lesbotarian who wishes she had a set.

4:45... Obviously your an idiot and just the redneck to have a pair hanging from your 4x4.

Maybe you should put them back in your mouth and keep them off your bumper.... ahahahahhahah

Really! Bull balls are the most important thing on the legislative agenda. Not finding ways to save valuable non-profit programs. Not finding ways to address the fact that emergency personnel may soon be without jobs. Nope, we need to address whether people have bull balls on the back of there vehicle or not. Has the florida legislature gone insane?

Wow, our politicians have to be the biggest MORONS - EVER! We can't educate our kids properly, the budget is not even close to being balanced, property tax reform is BS, they continue to drive insurance companies out of Florida, and 911 is a joke, .. these are just items in the news over the last week that are infinitly more important than this. But these jerkoffs are worried about tacky "bulls balls" hanging off the back of some idiots truck!! I guess this is the only way our politicians will ever actually get "a pair". Welcome to Florida - home of the stupidest legislature;if they pass a tax on the stupid, the budget could be balanced by our legislatures stupidity. At least I can keep my gun in my car and shoot the balls off the idiot in the truck the next time he cuts me off on I-4 when I'm on my way home from work!

Why is our goverment officials wasting time on an issue that is so trivial? It seems that they think everything is just fine. Guys, things are not fine outside your ivory towers. Wasting valuable time on stupid stuff like this only makes people madder. Start doing your jobs up there, because we can find people that will do the job that you clowns don't want to.

good thing I've got goat balls hanging from my truck instead

another waste of our money, time, and energy. proof positive that our elected officials are not the least bit interested in things that matter to their constituents.

I would, Melissa, but I can't seem to get them out of your mouth.

now childern

Mike, good point. The Letter-of-the-Law will be played heavily on this one. Prove they're not a goats', for that matter, prove they're not a human's...

What about the set of ta-ta's hanging from my grill? Is that o.k.? Idiots!

You can't say balls?

cut property tax now!

VOTE THESE LEGISLATORS OUT OF OFFICE
THEY ARE A DISGRACE TO HUMANITY.

AS THEY SAY "FLORIDA LEGISLATORS ARE ABOUT AS USEFUL AS A TIT ON A BULL"!

Maybe the senators should be forced to wear them around thier necks,to show what we think of them. Dick Heads!

Aside from the obvious stupidity of all this. Whether you are FOR or AGAINST these things, do you really want your government to vote away ANY of YOUR RIGHTS based upon whether offends them?
Tomorrow they may find that YOUR TESTICLES offend them. WE THE PEOPLE are supposed to be in charge and our government is there to PROTECT OUR RIGHTS. NOT GRANT US PRIVILEGES! I will personally go out and buy a pair now to show them they CANNOT control the masses. Even though I think they are silly and kind of stupid, I think the principle is more important! They are not "bull glands" to me now. They are now "scales of justice" in a sack!
OUTLAW THAT!
Any time the government uses threats for control purposes you know they are WRONG! If you back down from your government and let them control your life then you are truly America's biggest threat and will get exactly what you deserve!

Classless trash is all that have these anyway!

Public decency statutes should cover these?

Anyone thought of that same charges should be files as if the driver exposed his genetalia in public, in front of childen on the highway!

BTW, It is WAAAAAAAAAY past due

I don't like explaining to my young children what they are!

Wow, I guess they solved the homeless problem, drug problems, crime problems, insurance and property tax problems we all face living in Florida and have free time to focus on this very important problem.

Don't call me a clueless piece of trash -- I just raised your taxes!!

Classless trash is all that opposes these anyway!

Public decency statutes should cover ignorant parents?

Anyone thought of that?... the same charges should be filed as if the parent exposed his ignorance in public, in front of childen on the highway!

So… my Ethiopian giraffe set is ok then. Good!

Jim,
Who determines "Public Decency"? You? King Bush II? A bunch of old Senators?
Learn how to be a father...explain to your mini-republican children that the nuts are meant to be funny...a joke.
Asking for more government in your kids' lives is a sign that you're a non-parenting nazi.

By the way,
The government should be supporting a citizen's right to free speech, not "granting it" with threats of revocation.
Would the Taliban allow such an "indecent" expression of free speech?
Are we the Taliban?

I would also like to see removal of the strip club billboards up and down 75. Yes, there is a limit to what we should have to explain. Television is hard enough to deal with.

I am so glad the Legislature if focused on such important issues - after all who cares that CHILD ABUSE INVESTIGATORS are being laid off??

Who care about EDUCATION?? Perhaps if kids stay ignorate we won't have to worry about plastic balls.

Plastic balls are most certainly more important than chronically ill children who will die without medical care (CMS) or felons working in nursing homes or elimination of services for the handicapped.

Republicans - they'd rather see your child dead or ignorate than have them exposed to plastic balls.

Sheesh!!!!!

Any doubts on how many, many of us are going to vote next November???

Great; now the homertesticle in the cubicle next to mine will have that picture blown up and posted by 9:00 am.

So who do you sue when one of those things comes off and goes through your windshield after bouncing a few times?

Hence, let "Operation Neuter or Pay Up" begin.

8:34 edges out 9:06 for the tacky-jerk post of the thread.

Some of you sound like you really get off talking about the "set". I bet you are the same bunch that really thought the baby ruth bar in the pool during caddy shack was great fun so you put one in the next pool you went to only this time it wasn't a baby ruth!

This state is getting worse every day. If some redneck wants to put a set on his truck... let him, who cares. The real story here is that a Fla senator would drive around with them on his truck and brag about it.

Wonder if Jim King wiil attach a set of "truck balls" to the casket he and his dog will be buried in. It would be a sight when he shows up at the pearly gates with all his stuff.

Can the Leg. get efficient and combine the balls/beastality bills together? That will make me sleep better at night as a lose my home and have to sleep in tent city. Good job, keep addressing these important issues.

Life long Republican(maybe not for long)
