Strange bedfellows in the House
The Florida House spent Thursday afternoon debating the merits of its plan to offer expanded health coverage to the uninsured, and as expected, Democrats tried and failed to secure passage of only the plan backed by Republican Gov. Charlie Crist. It was an odd scene as Republicans clung to their own proposal, which includes a 15-member corporation and a marketing approach aimed more at small employers than employees, and which Crist and the Senate oppose.
Crist's champions were not his fellow Republicans but Democrats, chiefly Reps. Loranne Ausley and Jack Seiler. Democrats complained that the Republican plan, championed by Rep. Aaron Bean, R-Fernandina Beach, has a nearly total lack of consumer protection and would invite "bad actors and bottom dwellers" to prey on the uninsured poor, as Rep. Dan Gelber put it. Bean said the House plan (HB 7081) has more options for consumers, and it was approved as an amendment on a 74-40 vote. A final vote will be taken later.

Dockery the Democrat and Do Nothin' Charlie Dean-
1- Try and cut a deal with Democrats to steal the presidency from Pruitt and the GOP.
2- Sponsor a bill to open the GOP primary to non-republicans.
3- Sponsor legislation to let convicts out of jail early.
4- Support millions of dollars in new taxes.
And that's just what I've read THIS WEEK. Her and Charlie Dean need to sign switch cards and at least be honest about it!

Pull the fork out of Dockery, she's overcooked.
After overplaying her hand with Villalobos, she has 2 horrible years coming under Atwater.
After overplaying her hand with Haridopolos, she has another 2 horrible years coming.
That makes up her final 4. Watch her retire and not come back for 4 years of being a nobody- again.

The socialists do not want the problem solved because they want to keep running on the issue.
There are a lot of folks living well who are sticking others with their health care bills.
How about making people start proving their financial responsiblity (insurance or checking account) for their health care before they can purchase a Big Screen TV, own a cell phone, have an IPOD or a car.

If Jeb Bush were still governor and Democrats were siding with him, the headline above would be appropriate. But since Charlie Crist walks, talks and governs like a moderate to liberal Democrat, it should surprise no one that the only support he can find for his policies in the House comes from Democrats.
Democrats and Charlie Crist are not "strange bedfellows" they are busom buddies.

If Jeb Bush were still governor we'd be wiping our @ss with the poor, the elderly, the infirm, and our kids and then tossing them in the Everglades.
Well OK... at least Charlie tries to appear like he gives a rat's @ss for someone other than the rich.

If Jeb Bush were still governor we would actually have a real leader with convictions, not a RINO a** who panders to every group imaginable.
The only thing our "governor" works for is photo ops.
RECALL CC!!

It shows that Democrats are willing to work with Republicans on good bills. Too bad the Republicans are never willing to do that.

The House should pass the governor's proposal which makes sense and costs taxpayers nothing.
