That's what 12-million in campaign contributions will buy ya!

And guess who Allstate hired as their lobbyist when they got in trouble. According to state lobbyist records, it was Brian Ballard, major fund raiser and confidential advisor to Governor Charlie Crist. This simply does not pass the smell test, but who cares?

Smells like "teen" spirit!

So how much money have they promised to contribute to the Republican Pary of Florida? This is certainly NOT about the consumer!

Boycott All-State! I did and am no worse off without them.

I love it!! They wouldn't give the information, they lost and then appealed, then lost the appeal then HAD to give the information! Great going Commissioner!! If you want the money from Florida you need to follow the rules. FINALLY we are getting our state back from the greedy insurance billionaires.
Now watch the insurance pigs give us all the bunk about how much risk they have. They don't give up with the lies.

you obviously haven't taken your meds yet (or haven't had your morning joe).
let's get serious. Allstate was out of business for TWO DAYS!
If the state really wanted to teach them and other rogue insurers a lesson, they would have let the c*cks*ckers rot on the vine for months.
I'm sure good ole Charlie Crist and his sidekick buddy Brian Ballard worked over these guys good.
Look to see over the next year how much money Allstate contributes to the RPOF, CCE's linked to Chuck and his Senate cronies, individual races where the candidate is supported by Chuck, etc.
Can you say "shakedown".
Ps And you thought Chuck Crist actually cared about Florida consumers!!!!

Allstate had better mean that when we are in "good hands with Allstate" that they mean pro-consumer good hands.

3:49 - in your dreams. Nope, what they mean is their stockholders are in good hands as their hands are in our pockets robbing us blind!!!!

I got dropped by Allstate. I kind of don't blame them for dropping some of us. State allowed building in areas where it is obviously higher risk and Allstate et al had to cover their butts. But I wish instead of just dropping us they would have offered us the option of accepting more of the liability.
After leaving Allstate and trying the pathetic Royal Palm Insurance for a while, I moved over to Citizen's. I found that by accepting a 10% hurricane deductible, I was able to cut my policy cost literally in half.
Of course, I don't have a mortgage, so it was easier for me, but I think this should be a staple requirement for Citizen's insurance: If you live in a risky area or a risky home, accept a greater part of the insurance risk. And the lending institutions should accept part of that risk as well.
