Don't forget this prez candidate's visit
SPRING HILL -- With all the attention on the three presidential candidates visiting Florida this week, a home-grown presidential contender is looking to get some attention.
Socialist Party USA presidential nominee Brian Moore of Spring Hill issued a press advisory this afternoon alerting interested media about his June 4 campaign appearance in Tampa. (It's the same day likely GOP nominee John McCain appears in St. Pete for a fund-raiser.)
Moore will speak for two hours at the downtown Tampa library about "How American can change from Capitalism to Socialism." The room holds a maximum 35 people, so you might want to arrive early.

"The room holds a maximum 35 people, so you might want to arrive early."
Proving the Saint Pete Times is capable of irony.

I like the homegrown contenders... I feel like they're usually democrazy, but that's a good thing nowadays since so many are completely disillusioned with the democratic process. Not everyone can write award-winning books (and ebooks and audiobooks - http://www.booksonboard.com/index.php?BODY=viewbook&BOOK=93209). I like citizens who see something wrong with the system and run for political office...

McCain has become such a fascist wingnut of late that only a socialist VP can restore him to the center!
McCain/Moore!
5 More years!
(4 More Years + 1 Moore)

Obama as President may be worst than Moore.
A racist or a socialist?

9:49 Whoah, you are one clever pundit.

Any relation to Michael Moore? They use the same platform.

A socialist huh? And we wonder why the nation is going downhill. With all these "special" contributors it is hard for productive Americans to overcome their negative effect.
There was nothing in our founding fathers thoughts that in any manner supported a socialist outlook on government. For those who hate America as it is why don't they exercise their freedom and leave. France is starving for immigrants to feed their collapsing socialism based entitlements driven economy.
When I hear what those such as Mr. Moore have to say what I hear is I want to redistribute the benefits of your effort to those who are not willing to redistribute their time and effort to productive efforts.
Shame on you and those traitors like you Mr. Moore.

Don't forget to wear your brown shirt and jack boots if you're going. The dress code will be strictly enforced.

I think Moore will garner slightly more votes than that Libertarian candidate, er...you know, that Libertarian candidate.

Well, the founding fathers supported democracy, and what democratic socialism consists of is an extension of democracy to the economic sphere -- in addition to broadening and deepening democracy in the political sphere. Let us never forget that America was born of an anti-imperialist revolution, whose legacy lives on to this day.
By the way, the Libertarian Party has not yet nominated its candidate -- it will do so this Sunday, 26 May.

Sorry, Sunday 25 May.

From what I see at 12:07, Donald Lance - Libertarian Fascist is all prepped up and ready to break some kneecaps.

So the phrase "to promote the general welfare" and "insure domestic tranquility" doesn't in the Constitution?
"There was nothing in our founding fathers thoughts that in any manner supported a socialist outlook on government."
