Unger, Rossin named to state elections panel
Gov. Charlie Crist chose a couple of familiar political names among six appointees to the Florida Elections Commission. They include Republican consultant Karen Unger, who managed Gov. Jeb Bush's 2002 re-election, and Democrat Tom Rossin, a lawyer who was the 2002 Democratic candidate for lieutenant governor against Bush that year.
Others named to the panel, which enforces state election laws, are Jose Luis Rodriquez of Miami, assistant deputy director of the South Florida Water Management District; and attorneys Dusty Rhodes of Marco Island, Julie Kane of Miami and William Hollimon of Tallahassee. By law the panel must have members representing both political parties.

Unger brought down the Rudy campaign in Florida - good luck with election 08.

You are a moron! Karen did a great job. Rudy had his own problems unrelated to Karen. If he had listened to Karen's advice (which he didn't) he would have worked Iowa and New Hampshire instead of betting the farm on Florida.

Karen is hot! Sorry Jason, couldn't resist!

Dusty Rhodes? Is that a practical joke? As in "The American Dream"? Did he procreate a son?

the Florida elections commission is a joke.
when's the last time that toothless body ever did anything positive?
Karen Unger is just another Jeb Bush retread. She sure did a bangup job with the Rudy Guiliani campaign!
And that was against a guy whose campaign was on CPR (McCain), Huckabee, Romney and Paul. Not exactly what you'd call the strongest group of candidates around.
Karen, try getting a real job. The Florida Election Commission is a sure ticket to ignominy.

Governor Crist also named:
Rick Flair to the Wildlife Commission
Kendo Nagasaki to the Board of Governors
The Iron Shiek to the Commission on the Status of Women
Jimmy "Superfly" Snooka to Enterprise Florda
and
Sweet Brown Sugar to the Citzens Insurance Board of Directors
In a side note, Gordon Solie was named Crist's Communications Director

If he were smart, he would make Dusty Rhodes the Communications Director. No one connects with the "common man" more than the "son of an Austin plumber"!

So, how much is the political pandering costing us, Chuck?

Hulk is too busy worrying about his little boy going to the slammer for 8 months for reckless driving.

This should be the end for Linthicum as the FEC's ED, along with her Idiot Child lawyers! They've run that place like the Spanish Inquisition for far too long. This new bunch of Commissioners-- good lawyers and savvy folks-- won't put up with their mediocrity or their arrogant treatment of those unfortunate enough to fall into their web.
They won't be missed.
