Wexler: Don't underestimate Crist

Barack Obama's top man in Florida, Robert Wexler, says he's absolutely convinced Obama can carry Florida's 27 electoral votes. But as pundits analyze Charlie Crist's veep prospects and whether McCain even needs him to win Florida, Crist's Democratic pal acknowledges the governor's strength.

Wexler "He's an appealing governor, no question about it,'' said Wexler (left) who's accompanying Obama to campaign for Jewish votes in Boca today. "I would never underestimate his relevance to any campaign."

As to the question of whether Crist is capable of being an attack dog, get a load of this Crist comment bout Obama to the NY Times: "I think the whole Hamas issue is a drag.” [AP Photo, files]

Yeah, read Charlie's comments on Obama in the NY TIMES or just grab a packet of Kool-Aid and quote therefrom. Republicans care nothing for our country but will do anything to get elected.

11:50 - CC is NOT a Republican.

Wexler needs to go. I hope he isn't going to be unopposed in November. His opponent surely would win because of Wexlers' turn-coat support for this man.

"He's an appealing governor, no question about it,'' said Wexler

That just proves what a moron Wexler really is. Chuck's numbers are dropping like a rock, we’re only three months away from the reality of his scam (A-1) hitting the fan… and the dink is One-N-Done! Go right ahead McSame, pick him.

Chuck may be able to fool a bunch of Florida blue hairs (temporarily)… but on a national stage, the closet pole-smoker is toast.

McSame/McFraud ’08! PLEASE!

Why is Hillary stalling? Does she know something? Through Clintonites in the DOJ? Waiting for a shoe to drop on the back of Obama's neck? There is also a Nevada/Harry Reid connection to all of this - through the Orlando Jones connection. This read is a must.

Why is it that Hillary NEVER wears a flag pin?

12:33 Looks as if it is all over for Obama. Why is this all being hushed up. Is McCain waiting for the General? This is obviously why all of the insider super delegates are holding off.

12:33 That's a great post. You'll love this link:

Agreed,
Obama is sleeze

so Crist thinks that a terrorist organization (Hamas) endorsing a US presidential candidate (Obama) is just a "drag" - maybe he should be on Obama's ticket

Swiftboating...lol
your candidate could have put an end to it if he stood up and said: "I'm a war hero with four purple hearts"

Instead he flip-flopped like a fish on a boat deck trying to avoid the question.

HE "SWIFTBOATED" HIMSELF

ROTFL

12:24--pls. cease the homophobic remarks ("pole-smoker"); they're not appreciated.

what a bunch of useless, uninformed comments here.

Facts:

Wexler will not lose this Novemember--his constituents love him.

Crist IS a popular Governor--whether he's doing a "good" job or not.

Flag pins are NOT the way to prove patriotism

There will be no A-1 bombshell before the nominations or the election.

Go back to work, losers!

When Charlie said the issue was a drag, did he mean a "guy" in a dress?

Mitt Romney is the best person for V.P.

He would eliminate Colorado & Nevada from play and likely get Michigan(Romney's birth state) for McCain.

Polling for Florida has McCain up near 8-10 points over Obama. Having Gov Crist on board of the Straight Talk Express should be good enough.
Pick up Ohio, Florida & Michigan and it's game over for Obama.

WEXLER IS MY GOD

GO Mitt GO!!!!!

Romney for VP absolutely!

It is not possible to underestimate Crist

I happen to like Charlie Crist. And what happened to the Goldwater breed of Republicans, who kept their noses AND their government out of people's personal business? In other words, who cares about Crist's orientation?

A lot of you nattering nabobs of negativity seem more focused on his private matters than you do his policies. I believe Crist would make a great VP choice for McCain. He is a good Republican governor who wants to get back to being what a Republican used to be. Take Our Party Back!

How can Wexler be someones GOD?

I thought Obama is the only Democrat GOD.

9:50 Whoah! Please, stop! That was brutal!

Obama turned water into wine in Tampa. I was there and saw it with my own eyes.

Wexler is just looking to advance his own career in the event Barry wins in November. He's just in this for his own political gain - nothing else!
