Young Dems hire exec dir

Aiming to start catching up to the Florida Federation of Young Professional Republicans, the Florida Young Democrats have hired a full-time executive director. Lori Poole comes from the Florida Justice Association.

"The Florida Young Democrats are very excited about our new Executive Director as this opens the door for a much more active and integrated youth movement in Florida" said Alan Brock, FYD President.  "Her presence will help to coordinate the efforts of Young Democrats across the state, while providing professional quality organizational support to local YD chapters."

Oh goodie, a trial lawyer leading the Dems. How newsworthy.

good luck lori, as i told you- I wish you luck, but not too much ;*

No way. Dems and Trial lawyers? Hey maybe she can go work for Republicans in the Senate when she's done with that stint. :)

Congratulations to Lori & the FYD!

Go Young Dems! Yet another sign that 2008 will be a great year for the Democrats.

Lori is a class act. She's an excellent choice for this position and she'll do a great job. Go Young Dems!!

gotta love 'em, doncha?

wait until one of them is injured and begins looking for a plaintiffs lawyer, like their hero bobby "wierd beard" bork.

when he tripped all over himself at a banquet, he couldnt wait to sue everybody in sight, could he?

freaking hypocrites!!

btw, didja notice, the piggies are now ZERO for THREE in special congressional elections?

the last one in north mississippi, by about EIGHT POINTS!!

you good folks PLEASEPLEASE keep supporting the DRUNK and his stooges, PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!!!

Great job Alan! & Congrats to Lori...

I am sure that good things will continue to happen for the Florida Young Democrats under this team!

Here is to hoping this is a sign that the group is capable of paying funds to pay her salary.

Good luck young DEMs. You are in for a lot of lies and harassment here in the last bastion of right wingnut fundamentalism.

Aren't all Dems young? Then when they grow up, they become wise and thus switch...except for the few who refuse to believe Star Wars is fake.

Remember in November!

This is quite a positive step in the reorganization of Democrats in Florida. FYD is able to reach segments of the population that FDP has neither the time nor resources (nor inclination) to touch. Congratulations, Lori (and Alan). You have a tough and rewarding job ahead.

This is great news! I love how afraid the Republicans on here are of Lori - trashing her for her old job.

Seems like the FYDs have to reorganize every year, or are constantly reorganizing, which wastes the valuable time and resources FYDs could provide to campaigns.

The FYD's have been moving forward and making progress for the last five years. Young Dems aren't college dems. They are solid.

Star Wars is fake?!?
