Florida GOP chief flies into financial hole

When Jim Greer assumed control of the Republican Party of Florida last year with a push from Gov. Charlie Crist, he decided the best way to get around the state was by air — in his own airplane.

The FGOP cant afford the plane..Methinks they will have a little problem raising grass roots support when many other their supporters will be living in their cars..and not idling!!

Greer flies from Orlando to Tampa. Is it really worth the cost of flying vs. driving 45 minutes?

Who are the idiots? He's flying around on behalf of the Republican Party and he and Charlie are fishing instead of going to the Black Federation Summit. Did he use the plane for that? We need to dump this guy before he makes the party look worse.

Does the IRS have a millage amount for plane flights? Is Greer paying personally the difference between driving and flying, since this is indeed his OWN plane? This reeks of inappopriate and unethical.

The question is, how much money has the party spent preventing sexual harassment suits? Is Greer flying around his Tallahassee girlfriend?

The fact is that while it is Greer's plane the donors to the Republican party are paying for his plane not him. Every trip he takes such as the questionable "Monore HQ" is reimbursed by the party taking away money that could be used for outreach and other party needs.

tip of iceberg - how about all the steak dinners and expensive meals by him and staff?

When Greer does travel somewhere he has more staff with him than the Governor.

How about the separate special dinners and cocktail parties for his "special friends" at RPOF Quarterly meetings while the "little people" i.e., County Chairman and State Committee members that are not special enough for him hang out at the Chairman's reception where he makes a few comments at and then quickly leaves.

Wow, it seems like some discontent with Greer and the Party.

Who is leaking internal emails?

Greer takes the RPOF board members to dinner, not his friends. the guy is doing a great job. This is all BS and everybody knows it!

The state RPOF committee board today asked Greer about the Governors Girl, Greer said She is very nice and both care for each other very much and he has gotten to know her well and she is a good Republican very supportive of CC but he does not speak for the Gov, looks like Greer will be running PR on this Too. Greer stays on point, the committee was not impressed. Greer get some Ba..s. and Stand up to Charlie, Your the Party Chairman not The Governors PR guy. Don't you know if you want another Term you need to stop being a Charlie person so much and say what needs to be said.
