Obama: They'll try to scare you
About 600 people at Barack Obama's $500-$2,300 fundraising reception in Jacksonville, where he was introduced by Bill Nelson and showered praise on Hillary Clinton. “Hillary Clinton and I agree on 99% on the issues. We had to work to find something to disagree on, Obama said. "The differences we have pale in comparison with the differences we have with George W. Bush and John McCain and that’s what’s at stake in November, making sure we don’t have a third George Bush term under the guise of John McCain.”
More: “The choice is clear. Most of all we can choose between hope and fear. It is going to be very difficult for Republicans to run on their stewardship of the economy or their outstanding foreign policy. We know what kind of campaign they’re going to run. They’re going to try to make you afraid. They’re going to try to make you afraid of me. He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black? He’s got a feisty wife.
“We know the strategy because they’ve already shown their cards. Ultimately I think the American people recognize that old stuff hasn’t moved us forward. That old stuff just divides us.”

Blah, blah, blah.....
Vote for me, I am THE MESSIAH!!!
Nope, He's just another politician who will depend on failed Jimmy Carter policies, ex-Clinton flunkies, and Rev. Wright to lead our country to disaster!

Barack Obama is an elitist & a racist, plain & simple. He needs to huddle back with his friends Rev Wright & Father Pfleger and get out of Florida.
This is coming from as Obama puts it a "typical white person"

blah blah blah,
Obama is all talk with no substance. At some point, you have to walk the walk.
WhaT A LOSER

And from his own mouth: "He’s young and inexperienced and he’s got a funny name. And did I mention he’s black? He’s got a feisty wife." If this isn't Obama playing the race card, what is? It is ok for him, but if McCain said that the blacks won't vote for him because he is a white guy, all hell would break loose.

WE NEED THE FAILED ENERGY POLICIES OF JIMMY CARTER---VOTE FOR BARACK OBAMA!
Posted by: | June 20, 2008 at 08:10 PM
Well, I wouldn't say that we need any of the failed policies of the current administration. Anyone want a 100 year war against Muslims? Anyone want the economy to continue to go South? Anyone think that Bush (the oil man) has done a great job with energy policy? Anyone who wants to "scare" the nation into anything should be extremely scared of where we are currently headed. Until McCain says that Bush's policies were and are awful and need to be changed, he has no chance for my vote.
Posted by: | June 20, 2008 at 08:21 PM
Failed Carter policies? What year were you born? This is 2008. The only failed energy policies belong to your boy, Bush. Dollar gallon gas when you voted him into office. Four dollars today. Thanks for your vote in 2000. Looks like I will be paying for your social secty and gov't welfare and my grandchildren will be paying for the costs of your ignorant vote. The upside is you get the benefit of a gov't handout for the rest of your life when you turn 65. Your like Bush, you believe in free enterprise except for your gov't handouts. Bush has never had a job in his entire life, and now I have to pay him a lifetime pension and increased taxes for me to pay for your silly war. You make the welfare queen look good.

I'm starting to wonder if the GOP isn't setting McCain up for a fatal aneurysm before the official nomination.
They've given him the Bush "kiss of death" endorsement, a legacy of indefensible positions, forced him to flip-flop on every decent position he ever held, and now, it appears they're going to ask him to capture the loyalty of Americans with a lame plea for offshore drilling.
If their strategy succeeds, and he keels over and becomes a babbling moron before the nomination, then they can use that as an excuse to have the delegates switch their votes to whatever wingnut they really want to run.
It's certainly not beneath a bottom feeder like Karl Rove to come up with a plan like that. Think about it.

McSame = this cycle's Bob Dole!
Gotta love the R loyalty!

Obama DOES scare me! Anyone who supports RAISING GAS TAXES BY $1.50 PER GALLON scares me!
Obama DOES scare me! Anyone who thinks he can reason with people who believe killing anyone not of their religion will get them into heaven scares me!
Obama scares me! Anyone who flies in private planes, drives SUVs and doesn't reduce his own carbon footprint but insists that I must reduce mine scares me!
Obama scares me! Anyone who is a member of a church that preaches a gospel of hate, who calls that preacher his spiritual mentor and sends his kids to that sunday school learning to hate white people and Jews scares me.
Obama scares me AND I will remember THAT in November!

McCain wrote the McCain-Feingold "campaign finance reform" law. It lets McCain use the family owned jet to campaign -- but only pay the price of a first class ticket on an airline used by we peons. Other candidates must pay actual cost.
Elitist John dumped his loyal injured wife for younger, multi- millionair beer delivery heiress.
She trusts him -- right? That's why she made him sign a pre-nup to protect her money and her eight homes.

Delegates can change their vote at summer's end conventions, that's why they are called "presumptive" nominees.
This is still PRIMARY season by law, until official convention vote in late summer.
John McCain signed his name to public PRIMARY campaign finance legal forms. He's been breaking those laws every day since March when he first started exceeding those spending limits.
What a two faced phony McCain proves himself to be with each new violation of spending limit.
Federal Election Commission - that enforces those laws - is neutered by George Bush firing yet another member -- who wanted to enforce the rules -- so they can't do anything without a quorum.

US oil is being sold to other countries because we don't have any increased REFINERY capacity.
Drilling Florida coastline will kill fishing and tourism industries -- so it will NOT give us more gas or cheaper gas.
Crist/Bush/McCain -- abusing Floridians for their crony corporate donors since the 20th Century.

You ought to be scared of Obama. He is a minor Chicago machine politician with a high degree of ambition and self regard but no legislative achievements under his belt and zero executive experience. And his tax proposals will prove disastrous:

Baracknophobes!!!!
It's truly sad to hear all of you Republicans reduced to perpetuating these stupid rumors.
I'm not surprised. It's clear that your minds aren't capable of actually debating the issues or making rational, informed decisions. You did vote for Bush. Twice, no less!
Latest Newsweek poll shows Obama with a 15-point lead over McCain.
Obama wins by 50 electoral votes.

Fagophile,
You been beating off too much? You are a dreamer. No way does Big Brown win. You better get ready to live off your own efforts and not what big government can do for you.
Posted by: | June 21, 2008 at 12:44 PM
I hope McCain stays behind in the polls. He always does better when he's behind. He would have never been given a chance at the start of the campaign season. Always better to be the underdog. Americans love an underdog. Just ask the fans of the N.Y. Giants when the media practically told them not to even show up against the Patriots. You ain't seen nothing yet until you get the Republicans (Giants) infuriated by people like you and the liberal media. I just sent McCain another $1000 today after reading your arrogant post. Keep up the elitist good work Mr.or Mrs Fagophile.

Obama's Social Security proposals are rumors? I hope so!
Posted by: Rockabilly | June 21, 2008 at 12:58 PM
This is Obama playing the card, pure and simple. Now you can't criticize him unless of course your a racist. Tired, old Sharpton/Jackson strategy rehashed and spewed out by a Chicago dem political hack who hasn't done a thing.
Posted by: jota | June 21, 2008 at 01:39 PM
When will you guys realize that McCain became the Republican nominee by default.
Your field was horrible. C'mon. The best candidates that you could put together were Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani and Mike Huckabee!
The McCain of 8 years ago might have won. He was younger, more moderate, and didn't have the Iraq war baggage that he has today.
The GOP knew that there was no way they were going to win in '08. They nominated McCain because they didn't want to waste a bright up-and-comer this election cycle.
He's a terrible candidate.

One of my Cuban-American friends recently gave me a history lesson on how Castro came into power in Cuba on a movement of change led by many young people. What she described to me is eerily similar to what is happening with the Obama campaign. If history follows history, maybe all of us should reassess the type of change we want and whether Obama is the one to lead it.

Bleat Bleat Bleat.
The McCuban Tree Frog. Invasive species that devours every little GOP spin-bug he's fed and then splatters his feces all over our threads. Disgusting but harmless.
Posted by: | June 21, 2008 at 02:37 PM
Change what,
That is the dumbest thing that I've read in a while.
I'm not sure what your friend told you about Castro's rise to power but I can assure you that it is nothing like Obama's.
First and foremost, Cuba was a dictatorship prior to Castro under Fulgencio Batista.
Cuba did not have a democratic process of elections.
Castro came to power in a military coup, not a landslide election like Obama will.

it is his marxist/liberalist tendencies that scares the hell out of me. if he was the conservative nominee based on free market principals, i would vote for him in a heart beat. who cares of his skin--it is his character that i'm afraid of.
Posted by: It ain't his skin that scares me | June 21, 2008 at 07:42 PM

He's the worst choice for President since George Bush. We are in a heep of trouble for four more years if Obama is elected. God have mercy on our Nation!
Posted by: | June 21, 2008 at 09:02 PM
Fagophile... I thought all you who are so much more intelligent than the rest of us have been saying that we already have a dictatorship under Bush. Are you starting to flip flop just like your beloved Messiah. I guess you and he are in love because you have the same character faults.

We should fear both of these guys. They are telling us many things that there is no way in Hades they can deliver on. The next four years may be the worst since the Great Depression. No matter whether its McCain or Obama, they will be one-term Presidents.
Read the linked article and you will see what I'm talking about. It is not a pretty picture and both candidates should quit lying to people and holding out promises of change that just won't be possible. Folks, we are getting sold a bill of goods by both Parties.

9:04,
I've not once suggested that the Bush administration is a dictatorship. As you so aptly noted, I am more intelligent than you and I don't need to resort to such assenine comments.
Again, my post is perfectly accurate and the comment that I was responding to was absurd.
If you want to talk about flip- flopping, please talk to me about McCain's positions on tax cuts, oil drilling, etc.

Rove has ratcheted up the lies/attacks.
We,the democrats have brought up how mccain NOW agrees with almost everything that has got us in the mess we are in right now,so we dont tie these two together, mccain/bush do!!! The republicans are trying to tie Obama with a president that was in office,28 years ago? LOL.We all see through that.
Would republicans be considered anti-social for being against any social programs?
What are the republicans saying about the interest on our national debt being our third largest expenditure? Nothing! Yet all you hear them talking about is doing away with social security as a means to balance the budget. Why not pay off the debt and do away with the interest that comes with it?The far right constantly complain about left leaning media, but dont want fairness in broadcasting,,,Go figure.I see far right talking points that are put out by fox, rush, billy, boortz (many outright lies)as if these talking points are real.
BUSH LIED,PEOPLE DIED.
VOTE MCCAIN FOR THE SAME.
