A peek at Charlie Crist's bottom line
Gov. Charlie Crist's net worth grew 4 percent during 2007.
"The people's governor," in his required annual statement of assets and liabilities, lists a net worth of $457,262, slightly higher than last year's figure of $438,938. He lost a little money in an investment account and qualified for a federal income tax refund of $1,793. (Crist filed a copy of his tax return in lieu of a complete financial disclosure form. It was prepared by a Clearwater accounting firm, Kirkland, Russ, Murphy & Tapp).
The single governor's assets include household furnishings and cars he listed as worth $125,000, a Fidelity IRA, investment account and state deferred compensation account along with his $140,000 salary as governor. The frugal Crist, whose legal address is a rented condo in downtown St. Petersburg, reports no liabilities -- no mortgages, no loans and no credit card balances.
Among Florida's major elected officeholders subject to state financial disclosure, Crist is the poor kid on the block. At the other end of the scale is Chief Financial Officer Alex Sink, with a net worth of $10.1-million, followed by Agriculture Commissioner Charlie Bronson, $6-million, and Attorney General Bill McCollum at $1.4-million. Lt. Gov. Jeff Kottkamp's net worth is $2.3-million.

A Democrat, Alex Sink, is worth 20x more than a Republican? Sickening.

Oh, I thought this post was going to be about Cristi's tan line?

Makes sense to me that a CFO is intelligent with their own investments
and money! Seems like the one you would want in that position for the state of Florida.

Wow. And people are stupid enough to think Ms. Rome will be hanging around? hahahahahahahahahahahahahah
No wonder Charlie acts more like a democrat than a republican.....

Good thing they added the word "line" to the heading.

Cristi's bottom line is something that Mrs. Rome has never seen. In either of the two ways that you choose to interpret that...

I think that is just the way I want it, a gov with not too much money and a CFO who knows money! This is a good news article!

I love how the Buzz deletes references to Charlie Tuna being gay. Guess what Buzz, its like the urban folks thinking that if they delete lines from the State Song, it (Slavery) never happened. Well guess what? If you ignore something its still true!

Yes, if we ignore you, you're still an idiot too.

Alex Sink was on the Board of Directors at Raymond James. As successful as they are, can you be surprised that she is worth that amount?

when is the press going to look at Ms. Sink's conflicts of interest? They continue to give her a PAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.

Poor kid on the block you say? That's more than 85% of the US population.

He can't even lead himself in to prosperity with all of the advantages and connections he's been afforded in his lifetime... why do we want him in charge of our state? Dufus!

Christi will vault from the bottom to the top of the money list when he "marries" Mrs. Rome. Well, unless he's not chosen as Veep, then Carole will drop him like a rock.

Jeeze, if he made money weveryone would be all over him for some kind of improper activity. It's no-win.

Crist is a joke. Being his age, single, no kids, no dogs, no houses, no wives, (ex from the 70s does not count), been employed with decent salaries, he should be worth a lot more. Spends his money on clothes, tans and looking pretty as a daisy. He is a man of little substance. He makes decisions???? he is a joke, Fl is a joke to have elected such a wuss.

$457 K ?!!! Stinking rich Republican!

Imagine if he would have persued the american dream of homeownership and actually bought his way up to nicer and bigger homes over his lifetime. He would be worth a whole lot more. Compare his net worth in property to that of the rest of the Cabinet... and you will see where the major differences are. What does he pay his parents in rent?
