Country star wants voters 'Raisin' McCain'

Step off, Ludacris.

John McCain's got his own theme song. Country singer John Rich has written "Raisin' McCain" and plans to debut it Friday evening at a Panama City concert attended by the GOP presidential candidate.

"Well he got shot down in a Vietnam town / Fighting for the red, white and blue / And they locked him up in the Hanoi Hilton / Thinking they could break him in two / He stayed strong, stayed extra long 'til they let all the other boys out / Now we've got a real man with an American plan, we're going to put him in the big White House. We're all just raising McCain / Everywhere across the USA / You can get on the train or get out of the way / We're all just raisin' McCain." Listen here.

It's hard to imagine the song offending anyone's sensibilities (unless you detest country pop) which is something you cannot say about Ludacris' "Politics." The Obama campaign has distanced itself from the song, which trashes Hillary Clinton, President Bush and, of course, McCain.

Speaking of political songs, remember this classic?

Let me be the first to say every John Rich song sounds, um, the McSame.

people don't seriously listen to country music do they?

Much better lyrics than Obama's racist friend Ludacris

Barack Obama is a racist just like Jeremiah Wright & Ludacris & the KKK

1:21 u know u love luda

I love country music and I love playing the race card.

Thank you Alex, that will make everyone's morning.

I thought Rich was a Fred Thompson fan.

Wonder what those lyrics were?

"Country music in general are behind Fred Thompson
He's the only candidate as far as were concerned
Can I get an Amen on that"

It's really only about Fred Thompson ...

what a funny YouTube moment, but not if you're a McSame fan

Everybody knows of Barry's interference into the Kenyan elections last year, right (if not, google Raila Odinga. He is tribal kin of possibly a cousin of Barry)?
Now we have this a year later.

What this tells me is that everything Barry gets involved in turns to utter chaos. He,perhaps,is mostly responsible for this mess since he backed Odinga publicly (remember the pics of Barry in African garb? It was during this time). Now you want him to be POTUS? Think about it and try to make the connections if your liberal, socialistic minds will allow you to.

Rich must be a pandering twit. Karl Rove will make sure it gets lots of air time and all the GOP sheep will rush out to get a copy.

McLance showing his true colors again. Faux Libertarian who's got his nose in McSame's buttcrack.

where are the lines about mcAiNUS not knowing who is fighting and who is training in vietraq?

where are the lines about him doing only ONE thing a day cause he cant go any faster?

where are the lines about using miss piggy's tactics of lie and smear, instead of "straight talk"?

and, how many total adult teeth were at the "concert"?...50? 100? 150???

I have been on vacation in Indonesia for two weeks and just returned to Bombay today. Now that I’m back at work, I notice that someone has tried to assume my blogging duties on the Buzz while I was away—that’s not nice, whoever you are!

There are many questions being raised about: who is Barack Obama? I suggest you all read the new book that is out to better answer the questions you have. I have not read it, but all my friends who have read it tell me it is one of the most factual, objective and honest summaries about Barack they have seen.

The name of the book is “Obama Nation” and its author is Dr. Jerome Corsi. Dr. Corsi has done extensive research on Barack. Get the answers to your questions—read the book.

Obama is going to change the song "Hail to the Chief" when he bcomes president. Ludacris has already developed the lyrics!!!

this song is like totally lame

Get ready: Ludacris and Obama are going to give us a "Black House" in D.C.!!

i think buzz bloggers are more afraid of a song then they are of our impending economic disaster that McCain will do nothing to save us from.

it's just a song, idiots.

LUDA IS AWESOME BECAUSE HE MADE BILL O'REILY CRY.

O'REILY = SCUM OF THE EARTH

DO NOT FEED THE TROLLS

STOP PLAYING INTO THE PILL POPPING LIMBAUGH OR CONSTITUTIONAL BURNING ROVE'S TACTICS OF TALKING ABOUT LUDACRIS'S SONG WHEN THAT IS OBVIOUSLY NOT NEWS WORTHY.

EVERY TIME YOU FEED A TROLL JESUS KILLS A KITTEN.

SO CUT IT OUT.

Candidates and their respective artists:

McCain: John Rich
Obama: Ludacris
Clinton: K.D. Lang
Romney: BYU Polygamist Choir
Thompson: Johnny Cash
Nader: Phish
Edwards: Dead Kennedys
Guliani: Motley Crue

Uh Adam Long - John Rich was and is still a Fred Thompson fan.

You remember him, right? And Rich preferred Grandpa Fred, he's lost any and all kind of respectability. Loser.
