Man, this guy REALLY dislikes Crist
Orange County Register columnist Frank Mickadeit writes again on Charlie Crist's recent Lincoln Day speech, this time on the reaction to his sour review: "...You'd think I was personally responsible for eliminating Crist as a possible running mate for John McCain. Well, I'm happy to do it, since I don't want to see this guy anywhere near the nuclear football – but what's so puzzling is why it took a West Coast columnist to submarine an East Coast governor."

Wow! The Orange County Register is one conservative publication. It's good to see that true conservatives see through Crist's BS.
Does anyone really think Crist has a shot? McCain can't afford to appoint a liberal Republican as his running mate - there's already too much distrust among conservatives.

No Frank! I don't think that at all! In fact, I've never heard of you because I don't read left wing newspapers from a state that has so many problems of their own to worry about that they have zero business trying to smear a guv from some state 3 time zones away. If you cannot find anything going on in Kali-fornia to write about, then maybe you should work on a highschool newspaper instead of some mass media smearsheet that isn't worth wrapping my fish in you silly, little man!

5:14/Donald - you obviously don't know what you're talking about. The Orange County Register is a CONSERVATIVE newspaper that is criticizing a LEFT-WING governor.

Thanks, Frank. I'm sure if you'll just write about them, you'll solve the problems we're having with Iran, the price of gas and the Mid-West flooding. Hop to it, man!

Microwave Crist is easy to see through. The man is so stupid and just a wuss. Can't imagine the people of Fl. falling for this guy.

It took so long because Steve Bosquet and Co. over at the Times have been in Charlie's pocket for close to two years now.

Please, 6:01, I am not a SP Times fan, but if you took 5 minutes to google the Times articles/columns you would realize that you are WAY off base. Try to argue intelligently. Please.

This is very embarrasing for those of us who have business in Orange County, CA. The people out there knew John Wayne and Ronald Reagan. And they are still laughing at his buffoonish seven minute string of platitudes at their political rally. I now tell people that I am from Mississippi or Louisianna and other places where they have real governors. At this point, we would all be better off with McGreevey for Governor. That would atleast be truth in advertising.

Crist sucks... Next topic.

Rick Flagg said, "we're supposed to question authority, not quote it." But I still haven't seen the Florida Press put Charlie on the spot and make him prove his point with facts instead of emotions.

RPOF Chairman Jimmy Greer is on a Plane to Calf right now to have a Heart to Heart talk with Frank about what a Great Governor Crist is and how the Republican Party in Florida loves him, which is so not true! guess Republicans in Calf can speak there minds without being spanked by the Governors enforcer ( Greer). Please Jeb or Marco run in 2010 and stop Charlie from destroying our Party.

"why it took a West Coast columnist to submarine an East Coast governor."
This question works on levels so far from the conservative-liberal context, its embarassing.

Greer on a plane to Calif - was that HIS plane, or did he fly commercial? He AND Crist should be looking for what they are going to do next. Crist and Greer will be gone.

GOP coalition falling apart. Wingnuts and moderates will fight over the remains of the party. Thanks, Bush!

Let not your hearts be troubled: Crist will not be VP. If Crist gets the nod, the evangelicals will just stay home on Election Day and McCain will lose in a landslide.

west coast vs. east coast? who knew it was a rap thing
Posted by: | July 02, 2008 at 09:39 AM
maybe Cristi's rapper name could be "Chaingang"? his first gangsta hit could be "Don't Drop the Soap"

Gov. Crist should prepare himself for a primary challenge. He will lose his bid for reelection because he has failed to address the problems that Florida is facing.
