Obama Tampa Bay-bound
The Buzz is Barack Obama will be returning to Tampa Bay Friday, the day before he addresss the National Urban League in Orlando. No details yet.
The I-4 corridor will be getting a lot of presidential love Friday, with John McCain addressing the Urban League before flying up to the Panhandle that evening.

Hope he visits Pinellas - the latest Florida county to switch from red to blue!

Posted by: Jeff's Wife Puts Out | July 29, 2008 at 04:21 PM
Dear Losers,
You've had your turn. Your 8 years are up. The economy sucks, the deficit is at an all time high, mortgage crisis, weak dollar, record high prices for oil/gas, Iraq has been poorly managed and your leaders keep getting brought up on charges. When Bill was Prez the only thing that sucked were the interns.
Obama will be the "NEXT" President. Get over it - you had your chance; W. and Crist - nice work Repubs!!

And like clockwork… the Republicon hypocrites come out of the public restrooms to hack at our next POTUS.
The profess Christianity” while blasphemeing our Lord and Savior by calling Obama the Messiah.
They profess “Pro Life” while the majority of “abortions on demand” are chosen by 25-25 year old professional repoblicon women, and republicon wives, and republicon daughters, and let us not forget republicon mistresses.
Ah yes, the Republicon motto:
Pro Life!… so long as it doesn’t affect the P&L
Posted by: | July 29, 2008 at 04:47 PM
And not a soul upset about him agreeing with our vote voiding and saying we can't count because it wouldn't be fair to him and that we could count if he got to say how we voted will be allowed within a mile of him.
He is most certainly "a new kind of politician" who is going "to change the way they do business in Washington."
You can tell by how he values American votes.
Posted by: Issywise | July 29, 2008 at 05:07 PM
Issywise, maybe they remember that McCain and the Republicans did precisely the same thing to Florida.
Posted by: | July 29, 2008 at 05:45 PM
Issy,
Obama had no choice in the Presidential Primary mess. That was FL Legislature vs. Chairman Dean.
What is truly amazing is that no one seems to care that an unknown Republican programmer will be counting the votes in November. We don't even get decent audits to scare the hackers away.
New York in 2004 had a 17.3% lead for Kerry in both exit polls and MECHANICAL lever voting machine totals.
Every place else had a substantial lead for Kerry in the exit polls, but surprise! the official, computer count had Bush winning.
Only twenty people in the whole state seem to care whether the elections are stolen or not.
Europe went down this road in the 20th century, and after millions of deaths is now the bastion of personal liberty. It seems we are going to have to learn the same lessons the hard way, since we insist on ignoring all the warning signs.

Jeff... really he's racist? wow you and I obviously have very different ideas about what the term 'racist' means...

No need to talk race. The American public sees that Obama has:
No leadership experience
No specifics on his economic plan
No real energy policy
No success in south Chicago (except for making it worse)
No guns for you, but, he wants a "Civilian National force"
No real stance on partial birth abortion

He's a motivational speaker just like Tony Robbins,
But, Obama isn't qualified to be President of the United States.
No leadership experience
No specifics on his economic plan
No real energy policy
No success in south Chicago (except for making it worse)
No guns for you, but, he wants a "Civilian National force"
No real stance on partial birth abortion

LIARLIARLIARLILAR!!!!!
from dailykos:
"From John McCain's appearance last night on Larry King Live, when asked about Barack Obama's cancelled visit to Landstuhl:
KING: Why do you think he didn't go?
MCCAIN: I have no idea except that I know that according to reports that he wanted to bring media people and cameras and his campaign staffers...
That's not spin, that's a blatant, outright lie, and John McCain knows it's a lie. Here is what Andrea Mitchell had to say about the claim that Obama planned to bring cameras and the press:
That literally is not true...Now the point is, Obama had no intention of bringing any cameras with him. I was there, I can vouch for that...he wasn't planning to bring an entourage...
Here is a prominent member of the media saying that John McCain's words are literally not true (what we on my planet call a lie), so what we have is McCain not only disparaging Barack Obama's committment to the troops, which the media will ignore as "politics," but with his words McCain is also calling Andrea Mitchell a liar. Will the media ignore this attack on one of their own? And by the way, if Andrea Mitchell's word isn't good enough, I understand that there were a few other reporters on the trip that could settle the question: Who's lying? John McCain or Andrea Mitchell?"
LIARLIARLIARLIAR!!!!

Republican US Senator Stevens indictment adds to GOP troubles
"Just when it looked like things couldn't get much worse for Republicans in this election year, they did."
"The indictment Tuesday of Ted Stevens(R) of Alaska, the party's longest-serving senator, gave Democrats a new edge in their drive to win his seat and more momentum in their push to capture a filibuster-proof 60-vote majority in the Senate."
"It was the latest bad news in a year of setbacks for Republican candidates across the country. The party has been buffeted by retirements and surprise defeats in districts they thought were safe."
"Republicans are playing defense in far more House and Senate races than the majority Democrats. And they're hobbled by large financial disadvantages in a punishing re-election climate."
"That's on top of a mini-wave of scandals that have embarrassed - if not discredited - the party at a critical time, including the link of Sen. David Vitter, R-La., to an escort service and the guilty plea of Sen. Larry Craig, R-Idaho, on charges stemming from a gay sex sting in an airport men's room."

5:24 Why are you posting two year old news here? The story is that your neo-con loving Senator from Alaska, the dirtbag Ted Stevens, who was indicted YESTERDAY.
Lord please help our nation to be rid of evil politicians like Ted Stevens and horrid "liars for hire" like the McCain Toad. They lie and commit evil acts and then pretend to be God-loving citizens.

Jeff from FL, you are the Racist. It is people like you who will continue to suffer under the Republicans.
SHAME ON YOU
Posted by: Alexander | July 30, 2008 at 07:36 AM
6:32AM, since you insist on throwing stones, allow me to lob this boulder at you. It seems that the Democrat Elites are at the top of the heap when it comes to sticking their hands out. Stevens got his yesterday and rightfully so, but the bigger problem here is that both parties have zero incentive to change their ways - including your beloved Barry (who makes the list). Change? No. Millions of Dollars taken while this nation goes bankrupt? Yes! Nothing changes until you all understand the problem with the 2 party system and do something about it come Nov. Otherwise, you simply contribute to the problem.

Donald - again I allowed myself to be taken in by one of your links. Alas, yet another piece of libertarian garbage pretending to be impartial. What a surprise - the "list" is domininated by DEMs. You are just another GOP prostitute in disguise. There is no "libertarian" anymore - they are just another branch of the coalition of the willfully ignorant - the neocon Republican party.

Another "Lance", don't let the facts get in the way... If you can't trust that link, then one can only surmise that it is you who comprises the willfully ignorant.

Whenever I contemplate the citizens of our great nation electing another Republican President, it makes me wonder if we weren't wrong to rebel against the British monarchy. I wish the US had a Royal Family to rule over us. No act of charity towards the poor can match the feelings I get when I donate my income to the ultra-rich.
