I didn't see Charlie Rangel on the list. He and Barry both know how to fix the housing market.

Man that list is weaker than Obama is.
Even the LA Times and Slate are calling him thin-skinned!
Hillary's rooting for a loss.
And, I wouldn't be surprised if she helps orchestrate it.
HRC for President '12!!!

He better put Hillary on the list and select her or his whole campaign is dead in the water, no matter how much he outspends McSame.

If McCain chooses Condoleeza Rice, it's game over for Obama in a sweep.
Posted by: | July 15, 2008 at 07:48 PM
Hillary better be on the list or this is one Democrat that will vote for John McCain.
Posted by: | July 15, 2008 at 09:11 PM
He probably needs to decide the day before the election, otherwise he may CHANGE his mind!!!

Wouldn't that screw up the black vote. Their are many black women Democrats and Repub. who would vote for Rice over Obama. I know several.

If McCain picks Condi Rice, Obama would lose BIG TIME!
Posted by: | July 15, 2008 at 10:58 PM
9:11PM - I agree, there will be a lot of democrats voting for McCain if Obama chooses someone other than Hillary.

Obama is boxed in--pick Hillary as VP of lose!!
Posted by: | July 15, 2008 at 11:23 PM
I thought Bill Richardson would be on the list..if he is not then he turned his back on Hillary for nothing.

I heard Barack was the second coming of Jesus... Is this true?
Posted by: | July 16, 2008 at 07:14 AM
Barry couldn't carry Jesus' jockstrap!

It's already been determined that McCain will not choose Rice. She doesn't want it for one and she's never held an elected leadership position; she's an appointed cabinet member and therefore is considered not qualified to become the president if something were to happen to McCain. With his old age, someone with a higher than average risk of assuming the presidency will be selected.
As to voting for McCain if Obama doesn't select Hillary; talk about shooting yourself in the foot to prove a point.

Yeah, Sandra,
Warren Buffett, Boone Pickens, John Bogle (Vanguard), George Soros, Rupert Murdoch, and Charles Schwab are all doing poorly running/influencing their multi-billion dollar enterprises.
There are a lot more - I chose these since many names are recognizable and from both sides of the "aisle".
Obama can't speak off-script without tripping over himself and clarifying, reclarifying, and studdering.

I heard Obama answering ad-hoc questions on Lehrer last evening and I heard none of the stuttering you speak of. Nor was he lacking in responsible policies or workable ideas. I can only conclude that people like 11:18 are just repeating some party-line BS for the sake of those who have never listened to the man speak. He will trounce John McCain in a live debate because McCain has no original ideas AND Obama is a better speaker.

What is it about "Hillary is never going to be President, much less ever work in the White House again" do you wackos fail to grasp?
Posted by: | July 16, 2008 at 11:48 AM
Obama, off the cuff, talks like a fool with a mouth full of mush!!!
McCain will eat him alive on facts and content. Style points may go to Obama, but on the issues it will be all McCain.

I want Obama to talk Sen. Webb into running as Vice President. He was Reagan's Defense minister for goodness sake. Here is an opportunity to stake out the "Reagan Democrats." He could tilt Virginia toward the Dems (currently either a toss-up or leaning Republican). There are 17 electoral votes that the Republicans virtually bank on every four years. Webb would help Obama with the "lack of experience" argument, conservatives, military families, his message of change and in the South in general.
I understand Webb's stated reasons for not being interested in the VP position but as someone who in a Cabinet role before I am sure that there is some way of agreeing to a role for him that would meet his goals and agenda. Webb also showed two years ago just how good a campaigner that he was in besting a popular incumbent Senator in George Allen.
Find a way, Obama, to talk Sen. Webb into the position.

Webb is about to become the senior Democratic senator in a state where the new junior will also be a D, with a D Governor.
With the Senate not yet a supermajority - he'd be crazy to leave.

11:42,
Obama was spouting that same old tired stump speech in snippets. It's not that hard to recite platitudes over and over again.
Party line?
Try the MOST liberal for 2007. Obama was in the liberal Top 15% in the other 2 years. THAT is party line, my friend, and NOT unity, nor change nor, hope.
Obama's an empty suit that tries to pass off the same old liberal, socialist policies as "progressive ideas".
Let's ask south Chicagoans about Obama's "change". They voted for Alan Keyes after their housing got worse...now, that's BAD!
Shoulda chosen Hillary.
