I saw an interview this morning on CNN with Obama. I was surprised he even knew his own name without a script telling him what it is. He stumbled more than I do after a night drinking in Tampa with the media types.

We want a drug test from Obama now.
Obama why won’t you take a drug test?
Citizens demand a drug test from Obama.
Obama you don’t look well, you are losing weight faster than a Jenny Craig diet!
Poll results may be the cause, but I suspect something else.

The heck with Obama’s half sister! Someone needs to bring Cynthia Mckinney here. Now that lady is the real deal. She won’t pander and change positions the way Obama does. She’s my choice.

Obama's Florida ads are awful!!!
His emphasis on his Harvard Law School background just reinforces his elitist attitude. It won't play well with many, many Florida voters. I'm already hearing the "arrogant jerk" comments from my neighbors--and yes they are Democrats.

McCain is trying to obscure the issues that are most important to Middle Class America...the Economy...the Iraq War and Healthcare.
McSame is married to a Beer Heiress worth $100 million dollars, the terrible economy doesn't bother him.
He wants to keep our kids and grand kids and great grand kids in Iraq for 100 years.
As for as healthcare he can AFFORD the best healthcare money can buy...because he is super rich and money is no object.

Yet another dumb post by 10:22. Obama wants to raise the taxes on most Americans.
Obama wants to increase:
the capital gains and dividends tax (which will reduce tax receipts)
increase the social sercuity tax (Think it's only on the folks that make over $100k? Think again. Many of the nation's richest are small business owners. These employers would have to pay both the employee and employer side = 12.4% taking money from those employers to invest in R&D, equipment, and providing raises to their employees).
Obama's tax plan is bad for Amercian small business and its employees.

Let's ask "Joe and Joanne Employee" if they like their BUD stock raising from $45 to $70 in less than 2 months.
Much of the $50 billion will go to help the average Bud employee pay off their debt, retire comfortably, and invest in new goods, services, and maybe even a business.
On the other hand, Obama's poll numbers have dropped like a Wil E. Coyote anvil.
Hillary sounds pretty good right now, eh?

11:07 This is another sign of the Bushite-caused weakness of the dollar, which allows companies in Euro denominated countries to buy American companies on the cheap.
The Foreign takeover of Anheuser-Busch will enrich Bud shareholders like Cindy McCain, and cost thousands of regular A-B workers their good jobs.
This will also doom McCain in Missouri as the majority of folks there were against this sellout.

Touting the latest national poll numbers as evidence that Obama is going to lose in November only reinforces what I already knew about the sad Republicans on this blog. Not only do they know very little about policy but they know even less about politics.
First of all, national polls aren't worth much in November, let alone in July.
Obama is up in all of the states that he needs to win. That's what counts. As long as he keeps ahead in PA, OH, and IA, McCain cannot win.

His father was a Socialist in Africa during the sixties(fact), his mentor, growing up, was a Communist(Fact), his cousin led a bloody revolt in Kenya because he didn't win the election to bring Sharia Law into practice(fact), His 1/2 brother says he's a muslim(fact), and now his 1/2 sister is going to tell us what? That his family has been lying to us about the character of this clown? Look where he came from. Look at his extended family. Look at the company he keeps. If you can't do that for yourself then you already lost without knowing it.

I loved that satire on the New Yorker cover. It was perfect. I, at first, didn’t see the picture of Bin Laden over the fireplace. If one magazine can wake up the world, then they did it. A lot of people believe he’s muslim educated at an early age, he admitted to it, and those teachings will stick.
Then he joins a white hating, anti-American church and stays there for 20 years, and we can’t guess his true leanings are anti-American in nature because of his early exposure to anti-American Muslim teachings? Of course it has stuck with him. Who can listen to Wright go on and on, and still stay there for so long? He agrees. It’s as simple as that.
He’s doing the expedient. Telling us all what we want to hear. Well, I hear him say he’ll up taxes on small business owners. They are the backbone of America, and he’s going to make them pay, BIG TIME. They probably don’t understand his taxing program and they’ll be the very people voting for him, and then they’ll “get it” when it’s too late.

Would You Hire a President Who Padded His Resume?
Obama is resorting to a common, but risking tactic of under-qualified job-seekers: fudge the resume.
Barack Obama has a solution to his lack of accomplishment and experience: pad his resume. If resume fraud were a crime, Obama would be looking at fifteen to life. And it is not just an isolated incident or two. He is a repeat offender.
Obama started early. Even the New York Times acknowledges that in his book Dreams From My Father Obama accomplished little as a “community organizer.” (”It is clear that the benefit of those years to Mr. Obama dwarfs what he accomplished.”) But he did manage to steal credit for asbestos testing and removal in the Altgeld Gardens, a public housing project in Chicago. But he didn’t quite tell the whole story. The Times writes:
What Mr. Obama does not mention in his book is that residents of the nearby Ida B. Wells housing project, and some at Altgeld itself, had already been challenging the housing authority on asbestos. A local newspaper had also taken up the issue.
Now Obama is running for the presidency on the slimmest record of accomplishment of any major party candidate in recent memory. In June Obama was interviewed by ABC’s Jake Tapper. There was this exchange:
TAPPER: But have you ever worked across the aisle in such a way that entailed a political risk for yourself?
OBAMA: Well, look, when I was doing ethics reform legislation, for example, that wasn’t popular with Democrats or Republicans. So any time that you actually try to get something done in Washington, it entails some political risks.
But I think the basic principle which you pointed out is that I have consistently said, when it comes to solving problems, like nuclear proliferation or reducing the influence of lobbyists in Washington, that I don’t approach this from a partisan or ideological perspective. And the same is true when it comes to the economy. The same is true when it comes to national security. You know, this administration, the Bush administration, has made, for example, the war on terror into a sharply partisan issue. But the truth is, is that I admire some of the foreign policy of George Bush’s father. And I’ve said so before. I think that there’s a tradition of us working together to make sure that we are dealing with the threats that are out there and that we are building a consensus here in the United States. That’s the kind of approach I intend to take when I’m president of the United States.
If you missed the answer to Tapper’s question — name a bipartisan accomplishment putting you at political risk — don’t worry. There wasn’t one. Because unlike John McCain who has taken his lumps from his own party but who has actually accomplished something in Congress, Obama’s record is relatively barren.
Even friendly bloggers remarked that he might have to improve on this non-answer.
Perhaps sensing that Obama needed to demonstrate some record of accomplishment his campaign put up an ad in early July touting his record on welfare reform, claiming he “passed a law to move people from welfare to work — slashed the rolls by 80 percent.” But this wasn’t true. He actually opposed the 1996 welfare reform bill passed by his former rival Hillary Clinton’s husband. As Factcheck.org pointed out:
That’s going too far. First, the law in question wasn’t dreamed up out of thin air by its sponsors. It was the follow-up to the welfare reform act, the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Act, that President Clinton signed on Aug. 26, 1996. That law gave states the ability to design their own welfare programs as long as they met certain federal requirements, including limits on how long recipients could get benefits. The bill that Obama cosponsored was Illinois’ version. And far from having “passed” the bill single-handedly, Obama was among five Senate sponsors of the measure, as we said previously. It was passed by both chambers of the Illinois Legislature and signed into law by the governor.
. . .
But we don’t think Obama alone, or even Obama and the four other sponsors of the Illinois law, can take credit for all of this. It was the federal law, hammered out by Clinton and the Republican Congress, that set the wheels in motion and forced states to act.
That same ad also contained an exaggeration about his personal life. Although he claimed to have worked his way through school, his campaign could identify only two summer jobs during his college years.
This propensity to pad his own resume has continued unabated. John McCain nearly committed political suicide by championing comprehensive immigration reform. Obama? His role was slight. Indeed he helped sink the bill at a critical time by joining other pro-Big Labor Democrats in voting on poison pill amendments. But now he boasts of his own role. Chicago Sun-Times’ Washington bureau chief and longtime Obama watcher Lynn Sweet calls foul. She writes:
Obama on the campaign trail inflates his leadership role — casting himself as someone who could figure out how to get something done. Obama “did not absolutely stand out in any way,” said Margaret Sands Orchowski, the author of “Immigration and the American Dream: Battling the Political Hype and Hysteria,” and a close follower of the legislation. Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), a McCain ally and a key player on immigration, said Obama was around for only a “handful” of meetings and helped destroy a 2007 compromise when he voted for making guest worker visa programs temporary. A permanent guest worker program was to be a trade for a legalization program to cover many illegal immigrants. “When it came time to putting that bill together, he was more of a problem than he was a help. And when it came time to try to get the bill passed, he, in my opinion, broke the agreement we had. He was in the photo op, but he could not execute the hard part of the deal,” Graham said.
So what to make of all this? Obama claims that experience is not as important as “judgment” or “change.” By manufacturing or existing accomplishments, however, he suggests that he does not buy his own pitch.
Rather, his repeated attempts to bolster his resume indicate that he may be nervous about his non-existent record of achievement. Not trusting that voters will buy his disparagement of experience, Obama is now resorting to a common, but risking tactic of under-qualified job-seekers: fudge the resume.
Resume fraud carries grave risks. If the employer finds out you are lying, you are unlikely to get the job, even if the competition is weak. And for Obama, who is already belaboring under an avalanche of tough press about his many policy flip-flops, he hardly needs another storyline which sheds doubt on his credibility and character.
It is not yet clear whether more than a few savvy reporters and fact checkers will pick up on Obama’s exaggeration and outright lies about his accomplishments.
But the McCain camp’s new communications team would be smart to ask: would your hire someone who lied on his resume?

C'mon Flag, you want Barry to win so you don't have to speak English anymore while booking your flight to Havana. Your post makes it sound like Socialism is a good thing. I'm starting to have my doubts about where your allegience lies, my Flag. As far as bailouts go, the govt has been doing that for 70+ years, yet only you say that's socialism! It goes deeper than that Flag. Who is Harry Paulson and where did he work before becoming Treasury Secretary? Who appointed Greenspan as FRC? Under who's leadership did the housing bubble begin? Those are the questions you should be asking yourself to understand how the mess got started. Not throw out the baby with the bathwater.

1:11,
Again, us D's are "elite." I think the word you were looking for is "elitist." They have vastly different meanings. You shouldn't use words that you just learned from comedians Hannity and Limbaugh if you don't know the definition.
Donnie,
1) I don't think socialism is a good thing.
2) I speak English incredibly well and don't wish to speak Spanish only.
My point is that you make it seem as if "bailing out" hard-hit American families is socialism but bailing out corporations isn't. I don't think either is socialism and I don't have a problem with either. You, on the other hand, apparently do and I think that it's hypocritical.
Second, if you listened to Obama's remarks on speaking Spanish (rather than the blurb you heard on Fox News), you would know that he said that it was important for immigrants to learn English. He also followed that up stating that Americans should learn Spanish. I happen to agree. Hispanics are the largest growing minority in the country. If you and/or your children want to be competitive they should learn not only Spanish, but Mandarin, German, French, etc.
Or not, I really don't care. I'm fluent in both and, all other things being equal, I will get the job over you or your kids. If you want them to be at a competitive disadvantage to my kids, that's fine with me.

Bailing out either lenders or borrowers is wrong. Both should suffer the consequences of a stupid mistake, so that the mistake does not happen again.
Subsidize poor behavior and you will only have more of it.
One of the biggest problems stemmed from the Community Redevelopment Act that actually FORCED lenders to lend money to people who had no business borrowing that money.

An immigrant who is fluent in Spanish comes to America and learns English because he wants to be competitive and land a good job.

Republican Campaign Platform 2008:
(For distribution to the hopelessly partisan faithful.)
1.) Everything bad that has/is happening to our country in the last 7 years "started under (insert DEM president here.)
2.) What few good things we can hype into existence are all because of the wise leadership and bravery of our current President.
3.) Our President would have led our nation into a new age of prosperity, if it weren't for the do-nothing 2006 Congress.
4.) We are the party of decency and family values, despite all the scandals.
5.) We are the party of true Christians, and we believe in the inerrancy of the Holy Bible. (Conveniently edited to leave out all those passages about Jesus helping the poor and disadvantaged, and driving out the moneylenders, and rendering unto Caesar, etc, etc, etc.)
6.) We are the true representatives of the principles upon which our nation was founded. (Despite our intolerance for other religions including liberal Christians, our elitism, and our relentless assault on the Constitution.)
7.) We believe in Less Government, and Less Taxes! (Take us for example. Under us, "government" has given welfare payments to the rich, and run up a huge national debt. "Government" spends like fools on a war for oil. We need to punish "government" by cutting wasteful services like environmental regulation, social services, and health care because "government" spending is out of control.)
And now a special word to the loyal base from our own little mastermind, Mr. Rove:
"Thanks you all for your support, well, I mean your moral support anyways...
Please all you non-communists out there, our "nation" is in deep trouble and we need your help. A man who IS NOT WHITE is threatening to end the reign of our fair and all-knowing ruler, and may very well put all of our prosperous schemes of self-enrichment on hold while he tries to make government work "for the people" again. We all know what that means! No more handouts! “RUN AWAY, THE DARK MAN COMETH!”
Posted by: Karl Rove | July 14, 2008 at 03:43 PM
Flag, again my child is of mixed ethnicity and does speak 2 languages fluently, so while you are teaching your kid how to speak English my child already knows that the secret to success in life is being business minded. Knowing Spanish is great if you plan on being a telemarketer, but running your business only requires you to know how to grease the suppliers. So I guess my son will employ your child to do telemarketing since you haven't had the foresight to teach him how to be independent and rely only on your skills to get by vs. the govt. giving him everything, as they do in Cuba.
Posted by: Donald Lance | July 14, 2008 at 03:52 PM
I just sad to hear the government let a pinhead like Lance spawn in the first place. I guess it proves one thing though… apparently, there is enough beer in the world!
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 04:06 PM
"running your business only requires you to know how to grease the suppliers."
Or, if your manage a McDonalds like Donald Lance, the suppliers of grease.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 04:06 PM
Don,
I don't like to resort to name-calling but you leave me no choice. You're an idiot.
Suggesting that Spanish is only necessary if you are a telemarketer and that running a business requires only that "you know how to grease the suppliers" is laughable, at best.
I hope that others on this thread read that remark because it may help them put into context the other stupid comments that you put on this blog.
Knowing Spanish or any other second language is beneficial in every business endeavor, not only telemarketing (I feel silly even having to say that).
Also, running a successful business requires far more than "greasing" suppliers, although that is part of it.
Anyways, after your last post, I no longer feel that it is worthwhile to engage in debate with someone of your intelligence and I will no longer validate your stupidity with responses.
Carry on, Grease Monkey.
Posted by: Flagophile | July 14, 2008 at 04:08 PM
Flag, all you do is name call so that shows the level of your intelligence. You sound just like Barry talking down to people who don't agree with you. You have called me so many names in the past and I never said anything about you until today. So you get what you give!
Don't nitpick or base your entire post off of supply lines. Obviously there is more to business than that. If I can buy something less then you can, that gives me an advantage that you'll never be able to overcome - no matter how much Spanish you speak. English is the universal language and even the Chinese know that. Also, hoping other people have your back proves your inferiority! I NEVER chide people into defending me like you try to do. I call that a p.u.5.5.y move.
Posted by: Donald Lance | July 14, 2008 at 04:21 PM
Sorry, Flag, you just lost all credibility.
If you can't make a point without name calling and insults, you have no point.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 04:23 PM
4:23,
That's a riot.
First of all, the fact that the post includes name-calling does not mean that I couldn't make the point, otherwise. It's flawed logic. Ignore the first two lines and read the remainder of the post. I think the point is pretty clear.
Also, since when is name-calling so taboo on this blog. You guys name-call daily (socialist, terrorist, racist, Big Brown, etc.).
Give me a break.

Flag-
Yeah, you're right...want to address these too?
McSame, republicon, repiggy, "bunch of kkk’rs", Lil Johnny Napolean...
this is fun...

See Flag! You get what you give!
Posted by: Donald Lance | July 14, 2008 at 05:09 PM
"You guys" is all-inclusive.
You are WRONG to assume that every one that posts counterpoints to Obama and the Dems, calls names.
Socialist is a political term. The others, I can argue without.
Try calling the post idiotic rather than the poster (i.e., you calling someone, "Grease Monkey", that owns a McDonald's is idiotic. One McDonald's turns more profit annually than many people earn in 20 years).

Fagophile is an elitist.
Did I get that right?
He's also arrogant--just like the Messiah.
Arrogance and cockiness will be the destruction of Obama just as it has been for Bush!! Only difference, it will happen before he's elected with Obama. People won't make the same mistake twice.

Flagophile,
Were you in Iraq?
Is it your money were spending?
Do you like the lifestyle (alternative for sure) that you have?
Look here you left wing pansies.
THE RADICAL MUSLIMS HATE YOU AND WANT TO KILL ALL AMERICANS.
They hate our lifestyle, they hate homosexuals (ie:flagophile), they hate our women in schools and driving, they hate alcohol, they burned "The little Mermaid" movie in Afghanistan and the entire movie rental store, They are worse then the NAZI's when it comes to complete control.
Iraq may not be your favorite thing, but it has deterred any attacks on our soil.
Would you rather play ball in there back yard with paid professional doing the work that you could never handle Flagophile, or have bombs in America?
WAKE UP LIBERALS

The surge costs us a billion a day, and when we stop "surging" things will return to the same old civil war. Actually things aren't that different under the surge; the media is just getting tired of the killing, killing, killing. Americans can no longer stomach all the death and the knowledge that out Presidentt lied to get us into this quagmire - they are looking forward to the time when a new President, not McSame, will get us out.
Posted by: | July 14, 2008 at 10:12 PM
Yep, the new President who will get us out is John McCain! Obama will only get us in even deeper.

You make no sense. 100 years? John McCain. Plan to bring troops home? Obama.

With our economy falling behind, the war on terror, pork barreling legislation, corruption, and criminal activity on the rise, payday loans should be the last thing on politicians’ minds. Yet, for some reason, high profile politicians like Obama are focusing on this issue. Some states have banned them, such as Georgia and North Carolina, and more are in the process. Instead of fixing the important issues, they are trying to take out the payday loan industry for personal and political gain. Payday loans are simply for short term financial assistance for the all-American family to cover some cost that wasn’t budgeted or an emergency that they couldn’t pay for at that moment. They provide help to citizens during these financially troubling times with loans that the government otherwise couldn’t provide themselves. Stop the potential loss of thousands of jobs and the loss of a viable financial option by voicing your opinion to the legislature, before a nationwide ban becomes in effect.

Brave New World is a classic novel that was first published in 1932. The author, Aldous Huxley, expressed the possibilities that can take place if the government took complete control of our daily lives. During the continuation of programs to end the war, conflicts and suffering, he based his novel on his own surroundings and his vision of what his hometown of London may look in the year 2540. In other words, it describes living life without the ability to utilize their voice or live the way people today want to live. Many people opposed the possible occurrence and criticized his vision. In the present time, here in America, many of the same seeds have been planted and have now flourished into something threatening to our people and economy. The socialist and the communist movements have been around for many generations in our country, though it hasn’t taken much prevalence until this one, thanks to the politicians who are trying to obtain full control of everything around us. In parts of Los Angeles, for example, inequitable elected officials have passed tremendous restrictions on where fast food restaurants can set up new shops. That’s right; you can’t have a hamburger in certain places in South Los Angeles and you’re going to like it- says the “man”. This is only one of the legs that come from a large menacing operation. In other parts of this operation, state and national politicians are trying to take away your access to fast and easy payday loans. To recapitulate, this is one of their tools to round up enough votes for office so they can further their own interest. We certainly need to fight the government’s ever-tightening restraint that would prevent us from living our lives to the fullest.Post Courtesy of Personal Money StoreProfessional Blogging TeamFeed Back: 1-866-641-3406Home: http://personalmoneystore.com/NoFaxPaydayLoans.htmlBlog: http://personalmoneystore.com/moneyblog/

The great French political philosopher, Alexis de Tocqueville, once said, “The surface of American society is covered with a layer of democratic paint, but from time to time one can see the old aristocratic colors breaking through.” That quote was uttered several decades ago, but it definitely seems as if, during this election cycle, it’s been ringing true nationwide. In this case, we have elected officials and hopefuls who, for some reason or another, at least claim to believe that cash advances are detrimental to the American people. With this in mind, some of them have gone so far as to propose measures that would knock the entire industry out of certain states, or even America! Governor Ted Strickland, of Ohio, is one of these people, whose new law, if passed, would knock the industry out and send 6,000 of his people to the unemployment line. What’s worse, both current Presidential hopefuls, Barack Obama and John McCain supported a bill that ultimately banned payday loans to military personnel. Furthermore, Obama has come out in support of measures that would make it impossible for these short term lenders to continue operating. An aristocracy is one where one ruling class makes decisions on behalf of everyone else. Let’s just hope that those old aristocratic colors don’t bleed through when deciding the fate of payday loans.

The Philadelphia Phillies have captured headlines this week. However, this is not the only story that has influenced top broadcasting news and the entire media. Both presidential candidates, Barack Obama and John McCain, are braving the torrential downpour that forced umpires to call the Phillies-Rays World Series baseball game on Monday night. Thousands of people attended morning rallies by both parties. McCain assembled a crowd in Hershey while Obama was spreading his word at Widener University outside Philadelphia. Regardless of what the polls and pundits predict, McCain says he’ll fight on while Palin defends the attack mentality the GOP has taken against Obama/Biden. On the other hand, Obama continues to proclaim that McCain will bring America “more of the same,” straight from the George W. Bush menu. For those of us who have ever used quick loans, that more of the same just might mean the option will still be available for us to use these loans. Under a democratic president and congress, our financial freedom may no doubt be limited.

Philadelphia Phillies have won their first World Series in 28 years. The last time they climbed to the top of the mountain (1980), Mike Schmidt, Pete Rose and Steve Carlton showed the American League the meaning of spirited, winning baseball. Today, as emotions run high and the city of Philadelphia gears up for celebration of their boys bringing home the Commissioner’s Trophy, pillars of the community like Temple University are preparing for mass rioting. According to Dean of Students Ainsley Carry, “Students involved in vandalism, refusal to disperse, destruction of property, etc. will face both criminal and University disciplinary action. Sanctions may range from fines up to and including immediate suspension. Surveillance – including videotaping – is heightened during the Series on campus and throughout the city.”
I’m all for personal responsibility, which includes showing respect for others and their property. But is the feel of a police state crackdown necessary? Wait, this is Philadelphia, the “City of Brotherly Love. Of course it is necessary.
