Zogby moves FL from red to purple
Zogby International's latest electoral map analysis has Obama with 273 electoral votes, McCain with 146, and 119 too close to call. Florida and South Dakota move from red to purple and Arizona and Arkansas from purple to red. On Florida:
"Seniors and whites provide McCain a cushion over Obama. However, no one should count votes here too soon."

Get use to saying "President Obama".

Get used to saying "President McCain"

What's wrong, Adam?
You didn't like looking further into the WSJ poll that showed:
Who do voters think is the "riskier choice"? Obama - 55% to 35%.
Better "being knowledgeable, experienced"? McCain - 53%-19%
Better "Commander-in-chief"? McCain - 53%-25%

It is the Electoral votes that count dummy. Not which candidate voters think can hold their breath the longest.

Did I call anyone names? What's with some of you?
I could also point to the fact that Obama's lost ground in major states including OH, MN, MI, CO, and WI.
He should be so far ahead in all of these polls. He got virtually no bounce from "winning" or when HRC appeared with him. He probably won't get much of one as he gets back here.
Americans that are paying attention aren't so keen on Obama and as the average Joe and Joann start to follow it more, the numbers will get worse for Obama.

If Obama can't beat John McCain, he should walk away from politics and never look back. I can't fathom how such an unqualified, out-of-touch and all-around nasty person as John McCain secured the nomination of the Republican Party... What a sad statement it is on the shabby condition of the GOP. May God help us all.
(And to all you McCain staffers... don't waste your time attempting to counter. Better yet, quit wasting precious time skulking on blogs. There's an old bag of gas that needs to be propped up.)

Even Europeans are having doubts on Obama:

looks like he's going downhill fast
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:40 AM
Obama's trip was all a political stunt.
He flaunted to Europeans, but did not visit our troops in Germany. He had much better things to do like work out in a luxury hotel.
This elitism is not going to play out well for middle Americans
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:47 AM
Barack Obama is a dirty racist that will lose bad in November.
He can then go back to his racist buddy Rev Jeremiah Wright in Chicago.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:50 AM
12:26,
Thing is, McCain can smile and still be the same person.
Obama's just the MOST LIBERAL sentator and RARELY votes otherwise despite what he says with his empty platitudes.
Americans will show that they don't trust Obama in November.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 12:50 AM
The only bounce Obama got from his international trip is on the left wing media's knee (St Pete Times) as they pamper their baby darling.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 02:24 AM
The only problem with the pictures from Germany are that Europeans can't vote. Middle America will not like the fact that Obama has enough time to pander to Europeans but will not visit our troops in Germany.
Is that the type of leader, they can expect, me me me?

McCain is the right choice. He remembers vietnam well and knows the value of the draft. He knows we need more troops in Afghanistan and that we need more in Iraq to win this war. He knows we need a draft and he'll make it happen. Bush had no guts - just bled other people. But McCain has guts - he'll draft as many people as it takes to win.

Randy Scheunemann, chief foreign policy and national security adviser to John McCain is tied to corrupt Bush advisor on the council to the Department of Homeland Securityl, Stephen Payne.
"In a further link, Randy Scheunemann, chief foreign policy and national security adviser to John McCain, the Republican presidential candidate, was listed in the WSE brochure as part of its executive team. Scheunemann and Associates, his lobbying firm, is reported as having represented the Caspian Alliance in 2005."
"At the undercover meeting last week, Payne said 'Scheunemann had been working with me on my payroll for five of the last eight years.' When confronted over the link to KMG, Payne declined to comment."

When people say that McCain is the third term of Bush/Cheney, it is an understatement. In order for the Bushies to fully profit from all the schemes they have put in place, they need McCain.
They need McCain to continue the Dept. of Justice as blind to the Republican Culture of Corruption.
They need McCain to keep Iraq on track to giving over oil extraction rights to Big Oil.
They need McCain to keep Social Security on track for insolvency and privatization.
They need McCain to keep up the environmental plunder of US resources.
They need McCain to maintain the defense contractor gravy train.
They need McCain to promote instability in the Middle East to allow a large American military presence.
Without McCain, all of the schemes will be in jeopardy of being exposed and prosecuted.

7:57 You've got that right, bro! People awoke to the Bush menace in 2006 and took Congress out of play. In November, Obama will end the neo-con plot and return the executive branch to the people. That's why I'm very much willing to accept Obama's short term of experience. You don't need years of experience to do that; in fact, having the wrong experience just makes you part of the problem. Look at McCain.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 08:29 AM
Why is Florida "purple"?
McCain - 43%
Obama - 39%
In Texas, a "red" state, it is closer.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 08:35 AM
McCain will not bring back the draft. It is not needed or wanted.Don't try to stick McCain with that position Obama-ite.
Posted by: | July 25, 2008 at 08:55 AM
McCain says we have to "win" in Iraq (although he doesn't say how anyone will know if and when we "win") and that we must increase the number of troops in Afghanistan. But, taking troops out of Afghanistan to go to Iraq is what caused the current problems in Afghanistan. Now we're going to move troops from Iraq to Afghanistaan. Is it not a possibility the bad people will move to Iraq when we move out?
So - no matter who is president - if we keep up the "war" then we need more troops. But bribing them with tens of thousands of dollars in signing and reenlistment bonuses doesn't seem to be producing enough. If a draft is "not needed or wanted" then where do the troops come from? Do we up the ante even more to get more mercenaries? We're already spending 10 billion a month on that nonsense and McCain thinks it's ok. He's a fool who is on his knees to George Bush who so thoroughly trashed him in the primaries way back then. He's a fool who pretends to know something but really can do nothing but say utter trash like he's been saying recently.
But - all you folks who think I'm wrong - you richly deserve such a fool as a self-proclaimed "leader." I hope he picks Giuliani to run with him.

I’ve yet to hear anyone clearly explain to America what “Winning in Iraq” means? It’s a great buzz phrase and makes for an exciting stump… but what the hell does it mean?
Who are we fighting in Iraq?… What exactly is considered a “win”?… What exactly does a “win” mean for America?… And what’s our next move?
Can any of you self-proclaimed political/military/foreign policy experts answer these questions with real substance?
… or are you just spewing the talking points because you’re intellectual bankrupt…

If Senator McCain makes the mistake of selecting Tim Pawlenty for V.P. it's over before it even begins.
And there goes the U.S. Supreme Court

"Senator Obama had hoped to and had every intention of visiting our troops to express his appreciation and gratitude for their service to our country," retired Air Force Major General Scott Gration, said in a statement.
"We learned from the Pentagon [Wednesday] night that the visit would be viewed instead as a campaign event. Senator Obama did not want to have a trip to see our wounded warriors percieved as a campaign event...and decided instead not to go."
As news correspondent ANDREA MITCHELL states...
"The background on the military flap is that they [Obama campaign] had clearly planned a trip to Ramstein [AFB]. They were planning to visit the injured troops. And then the Pentagon explained that they couldn't go as part of a political trip. The Obama campaign thought that they could go, leave the press corps on the tarmac, and then take off with military escort and make this one last visit."
"Obama actually did this in Iraq, by the way. He visited a casualty unit in the Green Zone, without photographers, as part of the congressional delegation. But the military said that the rules are that he could only go as part of a previously-arranged congressional delegation, to Ramstein."

10:15 Aren't you just sick to death of these stunts? The wingnuts are getting desperate as they sense the end of their plans for a new 1000 Year Reich, and will stoop to anything to keep thir dreams alive. I thank God every day that Americans have seen the evil and are waking up in time.

10:15 AM:
That is political b... s... of the highest order. Obama is now trying to cover his butt because of the negative reaction to him ignoring our troops. It has nothing to do with govt. bureaucracy--just arrogance and hatred of our military by the Muslim, racist Obama!!

Andrea Mitchell is pretty much an Obama apologist and NBC is most definitely in the tank for anything left wing liberal.
Ever think about that since Obama either shunned troops at other bases or used them for photops, that the military had enough of his shennanigans?

It's Obama that has spent his life associated with:
Rev. Wright, Pastor Flegler, William Ayers, and Tony Rezko - those are just the headliners.
Obama's trip did nothing but help Ameircans realize he's got to go outside to try and promote inside. Americans have woken up to the fact that he's an empty suit, liberal politician.
How about these?
"Israel is a strong friend of Israel."
(glad we cleared that up)
"just this past week, we passed out of the U.S. Senate Banking Committee, which is my committee, a bill to call for divestment from Iran."
(uh, senator, that's NOT your committee)
"who I expect to be dealing with over the next eight to 10 years"
(uh, senator, unless you're changing the Consitution, Presidents can serve only 2 terms - just in case you need help - 2 x 4 = 8)
Obama President of the World, Master of None

Commercials showing Obama side by side with Bull Connor using the same explanations of why some Americans' votes shouldn't count should remind enough voters of why Obama's words and acts are too different to support.

I heard that John McSame actually ate his spinach all by himself today. But then he p’d himself and yelled at the camera for staring at him. He also said he was moving to a new AFL located right on the border between Texas and Japan… then fired his mailbox for flipping him the finger and not walking his pet toaster!
