Sheldon 'more likely than not' to lead DCF

Gov. Charlie Crist said today he will "more likely than not'' promote assistant secretary George Sheldon to replace Bob Butterworth as head of the embattled Department of Children Children and Families. "I think a lot of him. He's a great leader,'' Crist said outside his polling place in St. Petersburg. Crist said he probably will make a final decision "within a few weeks.'' Crist, a Republican, said he came to know Sheldon, a former Democratic state representative, while running against him for education commissioner and attorney general. "He's a great administrator, a great motivatior and he had a great mentor in Bob Butterworth,'' Crist said.

George Sheldon is a great administrator and person.

Gov. Crist cannot go wrong in such a decision.
