Crist will delay trip to GOP convention

As a post-Fay recovery effort takes shape and Hurricane Gustav gains strength in the Caribbean, Gov. Charlie Crist announced Tuesday he will delay his travel plans to the Republican National Convention in St. Paul next week. Crist said he initially planned to go to the Twin Cities Saturday but now says he will wait until next Tuesday or Wednesday (he speaks in prime time Thursday night). "Clearly, it's because of the recovery effort, and with an eye on Gustav as well," Crist said. The state got some more much needed recovery news Tuesday when FEMA approved the state's request for individual disaster assistance to Brevard County residents.

Good for Gov Crist.

It's about time Florida comes first.
Let's get moving on property tax relief!

Kiss the VP goodbye

I am a Republican, But Hillary is kicking total a s - . She just gave a speech that no one is going to beat. She really kicked butt.

Shopping isn't as good in the Twin Cities.

11:11 p.m., you're not a Republican. Hillary just outlined all the ways she would expand national government. Apparently, she wants us all to pay for universal health care. If you call that kicking a--, then you are a liberal, not a Republican.

Congrats to Rooney for the win and to Crist for showing his endorsement is still gold, Also Congrats to The Governors side kick Chairman Greer who won many RPOF Committee races he endorsed in.
If I was a Member of the legislature or a RPOF State committee member I would get on the New Republican Train with engineer Crist and conductor Greer before it leaves the station without you !!!

What Greer is doing to the State Party is called Purging, nothing less, he's putting in Crist thinking people, so don't be confused on this.

Good Job Governor!

man, we got rank amateurs like 7:45 on this blog - if crist's endorsement is so golden then grant would have won his primary

what about the Hamptons fundraiser on Saturday, Charlie? Are you cancelling? Better have Carole call all of her friends.

Greer barely made 50% on his endorsement...

He's only doing this because Bobby Jindal did first.

This is too ironic for words.

Charlie doesn't want us to see him cry when McSame placates the wingnuts and cultists by choosing Romney as VP.
