Crist's Dem challenger is...anyone?
Surveying the Florida Democratic scene here in Denver a few things are clear: The party is finally developing a bench of credible statewide candidates, though everyone wants to run for U.S. Senate in 2010 and almost nobody sees a good shot at unseating Charlie Crist two years out.
It's also clear that for Florida Democrats at this point, Alex Sink calls the shot. One more thing: Keep an eye on Allen Boyd.

I'm not checking this blog any more until that rolling ad at the bottom goes away. It's way too annoying.

How long until the "Jeff Atwater for CFO" rumors start circulating?

Although a long time Republican, other than being a member of the Pelosi party, I think that Alan Boyd would make a pretty good governor. He is certainly more conservative than our current governor. Add up the Democrat vote to the disillusioned Republicans -and with a soured Florida economy and a Democrat in the White House - continuing high taxes and insurance rates - then Crist could be flushed by Boyd. Boyd looks like a governor, while Crist looks like a frightened doe deer in the headlights. Road Kill Charlie?

How about a (real) Republican challenger?
You guys are assuming that Crist will win the nomination again.

I would love to see CFO Alex SINK run for governor.
She'll lose bad to Gov Crist!

CFO Alex Sink allowed someone to embezzle over $1 million out of the state treasury.
This will come back and bite her bad.
