Well that just does not reflect what I hear on the street.

Hey 11:11am,
Then start listening to people buddy! Obama is not going to win. People are afraid of the "unknown" factor.
At least you know what you get with John McCain. No suprises
Posted by: | August 28, 2008 at 11:20 AM
then you must be walking on "typical out of touch liberal" street
Posted by: | August 28, 2008 at 11:22 AM
also, republicans always do better in LV voter polls vs. RV polls (and if you don't know those acronyms then you don't know polls)
Posted by: | August 28, 2008 at 11:24 AM
I guess the poll did not ask the right questions. It should ask, has your insurance costs gone down? How about your taxes? Gas prices? I think the results would be very different.

OBAMA = BABY KILLER!!!!
Now voters are finding out about him. We don't need a racist who has no respect for life.

11:25 - click the link yourself and read the questions on your own - you know use that brain that you have - oh wiat, you're probably a liberal
Posted by: | August 28, 2008 at 11:26 AM
11:22 You have your head in the sand or somewhere else. I am a R and out party has screwed things up so bad. Don't need a poll or its acronyms to see we already lost the US Snate and House.

Hey, I don't like McAmnesty but I am terrified of Barack Obama based on what I know. Why can't he explain the patriotism and how he places America First with the following:
Obama has sponsored legislation in the Senate to tax American Gross Domestic Product in order to provide the United Nations more funding.
What about Frank Marshall Davis the noted Soviet sponsored communist party orgainzer who Obama spent so much time with during his years in Hawaii.
What about the Bill Ayers connection.
What about about that nutcase racist Rev Wrong and the fact that Obama spent 20 years around him, was married by him etc.
Please explain to us how these persons Obama associated with are great Americans and could impart any beneficial influence on him.
What about Obamacide where he supports killing those children who survived abortion procedures.
And then from his book The Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.'
You anti-American socialists who support Obama are going to have to deal with the facts and state your case for what it really is: you want to destroy this nation and subject the people to the whims of the United Nations, islamofascists and your twisted elitist and self hating views.

It is a shame that the Republicans have been so corrupt, self serving, so willing to spend our tax dollars on helping their camapaign contributors ,not to mention how willing they are to basically give our public lands away. And how about the great way they have been taking care of our environment, our home? They even have changed the clean air standards that took years to get in place, now to allow the spewing of pollutants into our air. The great lies we have been told by the leaders who have constantly redacted or kept information from the people. I am a Repub, and now I am faced with two candidates running for the Presidency. I see posts here that refer to Obamas relationships with racists. I cannot get over the fact that he has had those relationships either, but because the Republicans have just been in my opinion, criminals and hypocites who have destroyed the Republican party, they have no one to blame but themselves. These authoritarians have not practiced Republican principles, they have intruded into peoples personal lives, their over spnding is at an all time high, our economy is dead, they have sold out our country for that almighty dollar, and they have catered to the religious evangilistic right as if no other religion matters. As a Republican who beleives in the real R philosophy, a philosophy that has been so badly mutated, I am so very angry at these disgusting representatives of this party. They deserve to lose and maybe all the Republicans in this country will throw them all out of office and demand better.

Strategic Vision is a GOP tool whose only real purpose is to manipulate the malleable-minded voter into “thinking” GOPers are “chosen” and “approved”.
Polls have been absolutely useless for over two-years due to the advent of cell phones, and the reality that the same “reliable” politico wannbes are polled over and over again.

nothing like a "christian" to smear obama as a baby killer...yes, i can see what i am missing out on. the loathesome "christian" poster who is so utterly anti-abortion (and probably not truly pro-life) is a prime reason for why i walked away from all that evangelical crap years ago. the "christian" should stop the lies and the smears. it really demeans your ideology even more, sweetheart.

And Mason-Dixon has Obama up by one - what's your point?
It's close. This poll not withstanding, it is almost certainly within five points (check pollster.com and their poll aggregator for Florida).
Posted by: Campaign Manager | August 28, 2008 at 12:24 PM
Crist's swagger in south Florida has a limp. Recent Mason Dixon poll shows approval percentage rating for Crist in south Florida in 40's.
Posted by: | August 28, 2008 at 12:33 PM
these polls are not very accurate, given the sheer number of folks who have cell phones only. the older land-line folks are the ones being polled.
Posted by: | August 28, 2008 at 01:07 PM
Nothing new here, McCain should be in the lead and will eventually win Florida.

There goes another republican hypocrite (12:11), blatantly exposing their ignorance…
Professing to be “Christian” while blaspheming our Savior’s name by calling Obama the “Messiah”… like a good little idiot dittohead I might add.
Professing to be “Pro Life” (until they’re old enough to die for corporate profit and daddy’s revenge that is), while the vast majority of “Abortion on Demand” are by 24-35 year old republican professional women.
You see; they are “Christian Pro-Lifer’s”… so long as it doesn’t interfere with the P&L Statement.

Hey all you Obamanites: Take the dribble about the economy in the tank. Look at todays data about last quarter. Up 3.3%.... Ouch that hurts doesnt it? No recession is bad news for liberals.
Just like when we have success in Iraq, bad news for Liberals.
All you can do is hope the storm wrecks New Orleans again so you will have your "moment in the sun" ranting about Bush and FEMA. I'm sure you will be able to repeat the "Bush policies cause hurricanes; Bush hates blacks etc" rant you have been on for the last 7.5 years.
How will you react when your boy is routed in Nov? I suggest stocking up on some Prozac now because it will be in short supply after the election.

2) My taxes dropped about $50
3) Gas is up, but only since the Dems took Congress in 2006

Mason-Dixon Polling & Research, 57 percent of respondents gave Crist “excellent” or “good” ratings for his job performance, 41 percent said “only fair” or “poor” and 2 percent said they don’t know.
That compares to 70 percent favorable and 18 percent unfavorable ratings in June, 2007 and 61 percent to 34 percent in November.

libs are so childish with their elementary school-yard name calling.
libs spend so much time distracted making up names like "mcsame", and "mcbush" that now mccain is surging in FL and they pissed away a 15 point lead nationally.
between the name calling and the crying and sniffling during the convention these children are showing their true colors.
I can hardly wait to see how many of these crybabies move to canada or jump off a cliff when obama and biden are steamrolled in the debates and the general election...
the democratic party will be finished... and their spirits will be shattered forever.

3:24 While I appreciate your enthusiasm, minion McToady, I distinctly recall telling you and everyone else at the meeting yesterday that we were not to release that propaganda until AFTER the Kool-Aid goes into the water supply!
The lemmings can only tolerate a limited amount of our lies and spin at one time. Otherwise, we run the risk that the scales may fall from their eyes and they will start thinking again. Frankly, they're just about choking over the things were saying about that McSame (dammit! I mean McCain) nutcase. You know I never supported him at all, until Karl pointed out that the senile are quite malleable, and therefor useful for our plans.
